He’s excellent and I would recommend him to absolutely anybody.  He is really up to date on the latest things on heating and air conditioning.  He does a lot of research to find the best products and he explains what he had researched and what he had found with the different brands out there and why he thinks a certain one is the best.  When I needed a new furnace and air conditioner, he gave me four different options.  He has got a lot of integrity and he is one of the few people I've found that has these qualities.

I haven't used them since last summer. It was all right. They just kinda came and plugged around the furnace and the air conditioning and kinda head off and run away. It was not that memorable. Its just like the job was done, it was done well and they're just gone.

Scott always arrives on time and works with your schedule.  He has done several repairs on my old furnace, replacing a coupler, smell of gas, thermostat not working to not heating up.  His prices are reasonable and he is always in and out.  I will call him again for any furnace repairs.

After dealing with a nightmare of other companies that my home warranty service sent out, I was finally recommended Practical Heating and Air. Scott from Practical called me right away, unlike anyone else that was recommended to me.  I explained the problems I had been having and that I had been trying to get my air conditioning repaired for almost a month.  Scott promised he could come out that night and take a look at my system.
Scott came out within a few hours and made a special trip to my house late at night.  He quickly found multiple problems with my air conditioning that the other "service providers" could not find.  He found multiple leaks, no filter dryer, contaminants in my system, and a whole list of things with my air conditioning that were not up to code.  Unfortunately for me my air conditioning was beyond repair.
Of course my wonderful waste of money Home Warranty company (Old Republic) would not pay for the replacement.  After discussing this with Scott he gave me an wide variety of options I could choose from as far as what to replace, my choice of a few different brands, and his recommendations and advice.   I called several other HVAC companies around Columbus to compare rates and Practical was right on target or a few bucks cheaper than everyone else.  Scott assured me he could have me up in running within a couple of days.
The day Scott and his team arrived to work on my unit they found that the company that previously worked on my air conditioning had used the wrong size breaker and wiring.  I was told that I was lucky my house didn't burn down.  Scott replaced my breaker and ran all new wiring from my breaker box to my compressor outside.  Practical also provided a brand new pad to set my compressor on outdoors and did a very nice job of installing my unit.  I was not charged for all of the extra electrical work that was needed. 
I was given excellent service and my service was provided very quickly!! Scott is very particular about his work and made sure that everything was precise and perfect.  He also installed a programmable thermostat and carbon monoxide detector to follow code.  If you are looking for someone who does honest quality work in a very timely manner you should call Practical Heating and Air.

We have used him a bunch of times and he is fabulous.  He is really good.  The experience has been fabulous every time we have dealt with him.  We have dealt with him 10 times because we have a little crappy air conditioning.  He is very accommodating as far as scheduling things.  He is meticulous in fixing thing.  He is very fair in his pricing.

Originally, I called Scott for a malfunctioning furnace and he was very responsive and able to squeeze me into the end of his busy day. I was able to fix the furnace myself, but brought him back the next day for preventative maintenance. He was extremely competent and thorough and took the time to explain the workings of our system.
He identified several problems with our HVAC and what he wasn't able to fix on that day, he helped me to plan and budget for future solutions. His pricing was fair and charged me for work done.
I will be using him again without question.

I live in an older home. My A/C filters through the furnace blower. On July 10th, I smelled gas and the only gas in my house is through the furnace. I shut off the A/C and the next day I called Practical Heating and Air Conditioning.  I spoke with Scott and he scheduled me the following day between 2pm and 3pm.  Prior to the appointment Scott called and said that he was running behind and said he'll be there by 3:30. He arrived before 3:30 and went straight to work.  He found two dead birds in the furnace which caused the pilot light to go out.  That was the reason for the gas smell.  He took the time to show me and my son how to safely light the pilot.  He then checked the A/C system and explained to keep a clean filter to keep it running smoothly.  He also wears the boot covers to protect your floors.  He first serviced my furnace through American Home Shield (AHS).  I fired AHS but keep Scott's business card.
