"We did not know that this Angie's List member was not happy with her estimate and renderings until we read this review. We’ve contacted this member twice and have offered to have Pat do another set of renderings. She has not responded to our emails. Since the subject of having to reschedule the estimate came up, I would like to clarify that it was due to a family member’s funeral. The 3-D design matched the estimate that we put together for the project. Pat and the member discussed different options and knocking down walls and moving plumbing wasn’t an option due to the additional cost, therefore, we made the renderings to match the estimate. We could have done another set for re-designing the whole kitchen, but Pat didn’t think that was the route she wanted to take. Had Pat not been interested in the project, he would have not taken the time to put the detailed estimate together and the renderings which take a few hours. We apologize that Pat coming to their home for a consultation and then spending a few hours putting the estimate together and the renderings was a big waste of this Angie’s List member’s time and money, therefore, we’ve asked Angie’s List to refund their money. We wish her all the best with her kitchen remodel."

Unfortunately, I had less money put aside than what is needed for this project, so I wont have the work done soon. When I am ready, I will contact Pat Scales Remodeling.
Pat told me it would take about 2 weeks for him to come up with the design renderings and estimate. However, much to my surprise,
it was in my inbox in less than 5 business days. I am very pleased with the design he provided and has given me the information I need for this phase of the my project. I am only in the process of getting estimates/ideas/designs (work to be completed at a future date) and Pat has surely set high expectations for the competition.
I could not have been more satisfied with his work, and plan on engaging him for a deck extension, and several other interior projects.
When they installed the deck, they had to remove the concrete sidewalk, cut through 50 year old tree roots and complied with very strict Union County building regulations.
We are very happy with the quality of work from Pat Scales Remodeling and will definitely contact them for future projects
He has a good handle on commercial building code and experts available when needed. He laid out a plan to replace old trusses that were damaged in a fire and reframe both floors. He had the task to get this old building up to code that had multiple violations over the years. His plan was accepted by Columbus building and zoning services and we were off to the races. Pat was also flexible to work with me and my handyman to do some of the work to keep costs down.
I would recommend Pat Scales Remodeling to anyone that is serious about getting a job done correctly and on schedule. He makes sure things stay on schedule and on budget which is more than 90% of the others out there.
Contractor(Pat) did a fantastic job and works well with his
remodeling team. The remodeling team cleaned up each evening before they left
and were very courteous of our home. If the contractor(Pat) found something not
finished to his or our liking he made sure is was overhauled to his our satisfaction.
If any company deserves to be on the "Page of Happiness," it's Pat Scales Remodeling. Pat and his crew, Mike, Eric, Doug, did an outstanding job that exceeded our expectations. Pat is an outstanding contractor: responsive, communicative, friendly, has a great disposition, has an excellent rapport with his crew, and is focused on customer satisfaction and on delivering superior results at a very reasonable price. He went out of his way to ensure that all our questions were answered, and everything met our satisfaction. His crew is great -- highly skilled and experienced, detail oriented, focused craftsmen who take pride in their work. And they're nice guys, too ! We will definitely use the services of Pat Scales Remodeling in the future. This, people, is the "A" team.
In the meantime, Pat climbed over the a-frame ceiling joists to inspect the other fan. That also was properly vented so no work was necessary for that one.
I was pleasantly surprised when receiving the bill that Pat had made an adjustment to lower the bill since the second fan was already vented properly.
This was my very first experience in hiring someone to do this type of work. I normally have always done such things on my own. I am very pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness and the quality of the work. Everything was cleaned up before they left. I will definitely use them again should the need arise.
