Nails On Neil

I have been to this salon twice now. The quality of their gel manicures is fabulous. Both times the polish has lasted 4 weeks before chipping!

I've been going to this nail salon for the last four years.  The salon is very clean, bright and vibrant.  Service is always quick and prompt, I've never really had to wait.  I've had both pedicures and manicures with gel polish.  Every service I have had has always been performed way above satisfaction.  My nails always look perfect.   The gel polish is thin (as it should be), with a clean polish line along my cuticles, and stays on without chipping or dulling until removed. 

With gel polish, you must find a great salon that not only applies gel polish correctly but more importantly, removes the gel polish correctly without damaging the natural nails.  My nails are as in good of shape (healthy and strong) today as they were the first time I went in for a manicure. 

I personally have recommended this salon to several friends who have in turn recommend this salon to their friends as well which speaks volumes as to the quality of this "five star" salon!

Janie was fabulous and very meticulous in her work. I had a small crack on the side of one of my thumbs that broke about five days after my service and she fixed it without cost. The salon was clean and the staff pleasant.

I love this place. The staff are friendly and professional and they are punctual. My friend came with me (didn't get a manicure) but they offered him a bottle of water along with mine. The manicure was excellent; lasted almost 2.5 weeks and looked great. I got a lot of compliments and I will definitely be back.

I went to Nails on Neil based on the recommendation of a friend who'd gotten a gel polish manicure there. She told me that I could drop in without an appointment without much wait if I avoided lunch and after work time. I was able to walk in without an appointment and only had to wait a couple of minutes before I was seated at a station. Since they had the doors open, the smell was not overwhelming in this nail salon as it seems to be in others in the mall that I've walked by. The woman who did my nails was very soft spoken and there was a bit of trouble making sure that we agreed on what type of nails I wanted since I wasn't familiar with all the different options. I had tips put on my nails with gel over them for a french manicure look. She worked quickly and did a decent job. I have had nails done before at higher priced salons and they took their time a bit more, but overall, I've been happy with the look. The price was definitely better than in the other spas I'd checked into. The reason I gave them a B on quality is because she did not push back my cuticles or clean under the finished nails to remove debris like I would have liked. In addition, there were was a flaw in one of the tips that I didn't notice til I left. Overall, for the expediency and the price, I'll likely go back for fills.

Update: When I went back for fills, I pointed out that there was a pink and quot;uand quot; shape in my nail bed where they'd sanded my nails with the dremel type sanding tool before application. As my nails grew out, it was clear that the pink line on every nail was moving up as my nails grew. When I pointed out that they'd obviously dug in to far upon the first set, the woman asked me who did the first set - I told her she had. She didn't have anything to say about it to apologize, just finished her fills. I took the nails off after that. It took months for the pink line of thinner nail to grow all the way out. It seems the bargain wasn't really worth it.
