A nearby lightning strike took out my desktop computer, and I needed it running as soon as possible. I tried to replace the power supply myself with a spare one I had laying around, but the PC still would not turn on. I called Sam late Sunday night and left a message, which he quickly responded to on Monday morning. I shared my suspicion that my motherboard needed replaced, and he told me he could come at 1:30 PM to troubleshoot and fix my problems and install a new motherboard if necessary. I asked if I could go purchase a motherboard myself for him to install and he said no problem, though he offered the option to purchase whatever parts are needed for the repair on my behalf and add it to the bill at the end.
He arrived on time, went right to work troubleshooting my desktop, and determined that it was indeed the motherboard. My custom-built PC has lots of tricky peripherals that needed to be removed to replace the motherboard and it was sort of in pieces anyway due to me putting the spare power supply in, so it took him sometime to dismantle everything and get it back together with the original power supply (which was better, he said, than my spare). He went way beyond the level of care and service I expected, and he stayed with me for several hours hooking everything back up and making sure that the new motherboard had all the drivers necessary to boot correctly and function correctly under Windows.
Amazing service, caring professional, and knowledgeable repairman, and true to his word of a $40 flat fee for any service/repair. I will certainly call on Sam for any future PC needs I or any of my friends or family have!
