We were very impressed with Logan Services from the beginning: they provided upfront pricing and information, an excellent parts warranty due to their high-level standing with the manufacturer, and excellent communication and service throughout the process. At the initial quote consultation, we learned that our attic did not have a suitable mounting surface for the unit (any walls we had that were tall enough were angled into the room rather than perfectly vertical, which will not work!), and we would need to remedy that first. Craig, who provided us with the initial quote, recommended that we have someone build a soffit that would provide a flat, vertical surface on one of the tall back walls, and that is what we did. Once we had arranged to have the soffit built, I reached out again to finalize our paperwork and get on the schedule with Logan Services. It was at that time that we opted to upgrade to a hyper-heat unit, which was only a few hundred dollars more than the one we had initially selected; we felt that was a worthwhile investment to make sure the space had reliable heating in the winter months. Dan was our rep for these last steps, and he was fantastic. He even communicated with me via text message so that he could see photos of how the soffit was coming along. Before I knew it, we were scheduled to have the unit installed on May 6, 2016.
Rick and Willie arrived on time the day of our appointment, and I showed them where everything would be going. Once they got the general idea of our layout and how to run the lines, they unloaded their gear and got to work. They were very conscientious: they laid dropcloths on my wood floors, and were very understanding of my insistence that the basement and attic doors be kept closed to keep our cats from getting into those areas. They started between 9:00 and 10:00AM and finished just before 2:30PM.
Along with installing the unit inside, they installed the outdoor portion and did all the wiring. (They made sure to bring the appropriate fuse for our "Push-matic" electric box, which is somewhat difficult to find--I was impressed with their attention to detail!) After all their hard work, I felt terrible when they informed me that we had poison ivy growing around the house: they found that out because Rick is allergic to it! They were very gracious about it and Willie pulled down the vines of it that had grown up the siding near where they were working. (Needless to say, we bought and used some ivy killer the very next morning!) Rick showed me how the indoor unit works; it is much more high-tech and complex than I had imagined, but it's so neat! It's a very effective and efficient piece of equipment, and we are very glad to have one in our attic: it's absolutely ideal for a space like ours. So in addition to being thrilled with our experience with Logan Services, we are similarly thrilled with the Mitsubishi unit itself!
Logan Services provided us with the heating/cooling solution that best suited our needs and our space, and they did it with professionalism and excellent customer service. We would highly recommend them, especially if you are looking to install one of the Mitsubishi ductless units. We will certainly be keeping them in mind for any subsequent HVAC needs we may have!

I relied on Logan Services? expertise to determine what new equipment was necessary to provide sufficient air flow to the two bedrooms and my family room to maintain appropriate temperatures. The salesman said that a $8,059 TRANE system would make my home comfortable year-round. After the $8,059 system was installed, Logan Services said that the system that they installed was not able to correct the cold spots during the winter in my home. They are not willing to install a bigger system to improve air flow. So, I am left with an $8k new HVAC system that failed to correct the 2 problems that I identified and Logan Services said they could fix.
"Hello, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’ve taken a look at your situation, and unfortunately, it seems as though the issue is with the original ductwork your home was built with. The system we installed was properly sized for your home, but the nature of the poorly installed ductwork is causing the airflow issues. We are not able to install a bigger blower motor, because the blower motor you currently have is the largest that is manufactured for that furnace. In addition, installing a larger furnace would be over-sizing the system, which overworks the furnace and causes short-cycling. Our Vice President of Field Services visited your home on January 12th to evaluate and confirm the situation. He then followed up with an email on January 20th with an offer to add a duct booster, free of cost to you, to see if that would help with the airflow issues. We would still offer that to you, if indeed you would like to try it. Please let us know if this is something that you would like to move forward with. I called Logan Services to come out and check out my A/C for the season. Logan?s Technician told me that I needed 2 new capacitors and a new contactor for my A/C. His suggestion was that I should consider purchasing a new system since my equipment was 18 years old. The problem I had with that was that his quote for the new system was only good for 1 week before an impending price increase. I felt that the company should at least be willing to stand with the price for 30 days. One week wouldn?t give me time to get other quotes or advice from other contractors so I decided to take more time to evaluate the situation and be sure that I was making the right decision, despite any monetary gains I might be losing out on.
I called another HVAC contractor to come out and quote a new system. The 2nd contractor explained to me how the systems perform as they age. It was clear to me during the conversation that the 2nd contractor was interested in what was right for his customers, whether that meant repairing their current equipment or selling them a new system. I asked them to come back to replace the contactor in my A/C, in addition to quoting me on a new HVAC system. When they came out they determined that my A/C didn?t require any repairs. The picture they took of the contactor wasn?t dark like the one taken by the Logan Services Technician. In other words, the contactor wasn?t burned from arcing. Pictures can be affected by light and Logan?s picture was taken on a cloudy day, however it should have been clear to the Technician visually. This was a deception that would have placed a significant financial burden on me so I?m glad I didn?t just accept it without question. Logan Services might be fine to call if you are looking for a new system but if you want choices including maintenance I wouldn?t recommend them.

Due to the age, shape and condition of the air conditioner, our technician used his judgment to conclude that the benefit of replacement outweighed the ease of a quick repair. We will always offer our customers the choice of looking at new replacement options if we feel that it is in their best interest due to safety concerns, lack of efficiency and the cost of operating/repair fees. Unfortunately, we have no control over the promotion dates that our manufacturers offer. The last promotion ended on April 15th, which is why your quote for a new system was only good for one week.
