The main thing that I was impressed by was Residential Safety Services' ability to comment and quickly assess what will be helpful. Most of the things that he did and most of his suggestions were not as expensive as the converted steps lift unlike putting the swing-clear hinges and also changing the threshold ramps in between rooms, that was a pretty easy thing to do but in terms of our master bathroom, for example, he made a modification in taking off flexi-glass doors because this way it was easy for my dad to get in and out, you put a shower curtain and a bunch of handrails. A lot of the stuff that he did was just the fact that he has experience in identifying what will help a person who has mobility issue. He was always punctual because he did a couple of things over the course of some days, very pleasant, reasonable and very professional. We had to have a little wire corrected on the lift and my father called him on that same day and fixed it. They way that we paid it is, he needed some upfront so we made a down payment and then we paid the balance at the completion of his service, it worked out well.

Admittedly, this was a difficult dual-door widening project many other contractors didn't want to tackle. I had a vision to remove a center divide between the rooms, and Peter was able to expand on that idea and drew up plans to create a space for unparalleled wheelchair access that can be closed off with barn-style doors and a curtain. The work started promptly when promised, and only ran over a few days longer than initially discussed due to MY requests for late starts some days and lots of extra finishing touches that were above and beyond what I expected.
Professionalism and accommodation are the two words I would use to describe the work. Great care was used throughout to minimize dust getting into other rooms, and each night my entire work area and entranceway were left very clean and usable. Peter was very agreeable to work around my routines and schedule to disrupt my life as little as possible, and was always willing to accommodate me for minor changes I requested during the work.
The ccompleted space works so much better for me than before, and the care taken to make it beautiful with perfectly-matched wood flooring replacement, 1920s reclaimed doors, matching molding, and a finished paint job are greatly appreciated. This company really cares about the work they do, and it shows from start to finish.
