The landlord rented a hovel to my college student daughter. It was in disrepair, overpriced and the manger was rude. Repairs took constant nagging to complete. When the commode above my daughters unit dripped brown liquid along her bedroom/kitchen wall, it took 3 or so weeks to address. My daughter bleached the brown liquid stains daily(terrible stench that we attributed to feces ). When the leak was finally stopped, the repair men used her paper towels and cleanser under her kitchen sink to clean up. They never replaced them nor did they ask permission to use. She requested and received in writing an opportunity to leave one month early so they could repair the buckling wall . we requested a walk through with the landlord and he refused to provide documentation of the walk through-told us he was too busy and we were not special. did not receive security deposit nor the required documentation with in thirty days required by law. took them to small claims court
