Marty has rescued me twice. In 2012 I began working from home and the
requirements of my position mandate high-speed internet access. The
very first week I was working from home, my internet went out. My cable
company could not make a service call that week. God bless Marty, not
only did he come out the day I called, but he came back the next day
when the cable rep came to my home and made sure they replaced my cable
modem. Marty explains problems in terms that a non-computer person can
understand. He keeps his word, he is a kind and knowledgeable
gentleman, and if I ever get hit with any electronic gremlins again, I
would use his service in a heartbeat. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

He came once, then he sold us a copier and then something went wrong with the computer again and I called him. I thought maybe he would give us slack and he said no it's another $100 to come over. And it was just something, if I had sat there longer, and I did, I figured it out my self, so I think he is very good but I think he's a little over the top with us. Price wise. I like the guy who came out.

We bought a new Dell PC at Micro Center . We thought it would be easy to set up ourselves. It wasn't. There were no instructions with the PC. Too many cables, and they were not easy to see where they were supposed to go. We needed help. I looked in the yellow pages for and quot;computersand quot;. It was 9PM on friday May 24th by this time. I picked out this company because of the name-and quot;Friendly Computersand quot;. Marty answered the phone, and I explained the problem. He was so nice and understanding about our problem. Because it was Memorial Day weekend, he said he would be out on tuesday the 28th between 11AM and 1PM.
It wasn't a big deal to wait. Marty showed up at about noon on tuesday, and got right to work. He knew exactly what he was doing. It seemed so easy with him there. He also set up some of our software that hadn't been installed yet. It was such a pleasant experience. He explained many things about our new system,too. We would call him in a minute if we ever had any problems. He said he would have been able to give us suggestions about a new PC as well as transfer the files, Next tme we will definetely call hm.

Came to my house promptly after I called regarding a problem with my laptop. Diagnosed the problem in about 10-15 minutes, gave me 2 different estimates and took the computer with him (this was on a Friday afternoon). For this call, I had to write him a check for $92.00. After thinking about it over the week-end, we decided to check out costs of a new computer; I called him at 8am and said, don't do anything else until you hear from me. He said he had already called for a new part; it was clear he was not happy about calling to cancel it, but he did. I asked him how I could get my computer back without it costing me any more money (I would come pick it up, etc.) and he said that was impossible, I was being charged for the phone call to stop the order. It cost me another $47 to get my computer back. So, all in all, he made $139 for a 15 minute diagnosis, pick-up and drop off.

"Upon arriving at the clients home it was determined that the laptop had either a failed inverter board or a failed LCD screen as the screen was blank. I gave the client 2 quotes as I still needed to confirm the diagnosis in the shop. The laptop was disassembled and tested on Saturday morning and it was determined that it required a new inverter board. The inverter board (which was not returnable) was also ordered on Saturday. The client called on Monday morning to cancel. At this point I had to re-assemble the laptop and deliver it back to the client. As per the signed agreement, the customer was charged a canceled Shop Work Order charge of $46 which did not even cover the cost of the non-returnable part I ordered for the laptop nor the labor to disassemble, test and re-assemble the laptop."

Was able to visit the next day to scope the problem. The part was reported as backordered and took 3+ weeks to arrive. Return delivery was rescheduled due to conflicts with other clients. Aside from slow response times, system was returned in working order with no operating problems. Repair cheaper than replacement.

"The client is correct that this repair took 3 weeks. The original part that was shipped to me was incorrect and had to be replaced. Unfortunately there were no more in stock and the part was placed on back order and took another 2 weeks to arrive."

The business owner is the also the only employee, so he is motivated to provide excellent customer service. He was very responsive, and the work was scheduled within two days of my call. He arrived at my home on time, worked quickly, and was able to fix the problem.
