I liked the way the fencing company worked with me as far as how it would look. The guys were punctual and were really nice to work with. They also put flower boxes on the wall. They designed it so that it would work well with the house and the fence. They did good work and were careful when they installed the fence as we have a lot of tree roots.

They were extremely prompt! Their price was awesome! I can’t believe they did it for that, I expected to pay more. They did a great job. The people of course were nice. I give them high recommendation. This was the first time I dealt with them and I was very pleased. I would hire them again, but the fellow told me I would be good for 30 years!

I printed off pictures from their Web site, went to the show room and met with rep. who was very informative on types of rails - helped us decide on the best rail for the space. There was a delay in getting the estimate after our visit - an e-mail inquiry initial got the estimator in touch and then he came out promptly. Our porch was being resurfaced and tear off encountered old metal remnants from previous rail - the estimator called his installer who came by the same day and removed the old metal and sealed the holes (no extra charge). After several weeks, got a call and scheduled the install (within 2 days). Job completed within 1.5 hrs.

Perfect replacement work.

The initial meeting for the estimate went fine. There were some special considerations to be taken into account for the rails on the front porch steps in terms of placement and design of the rails. I was confident that the estimator understood and wrote down what was needed. The delivery date was only a little later than estimated. I told the estimator and installers in advance that I would not be able to be home when the railings were installed, and they said that would be fine. The two standard sets of rails were fine. For the rails on the front porch steps, there were all kinds of problems. Much of the trouble arose because there seemed to be absolutely no communication between different branches of the company. The installers thought that the first set of rails did not fit, whereas they probably were exactly as specified. They apparently did not have instructions as to where and how to install them. They took the rails back to the company. After that, I made numerous phone calls to the company trying to contact the estimator and installers, trying to get them to talk to the each other to either bring back the original rails together to see if they were correct, or make new rails if they were not. I always had a difficult time reaching people at the company, often leaving messages that were not returned. A second set of rails was installed while I was not at home (I was not even contacted in advance that they were coming !) This set was very different that what we had agreed upon, and had to be taken out, On two occasions, the estimator failed to show up, and could not be contacted by phone, for appointments he had made to come to my house to look at the situation (for which I missed work !) . Finally, two months later, the installers put in a third set of rails that was close to the original specifications - but not quite. I was so tired of trying to deal with this impossible situation that I just said fine. They could have probably saved themselves a lot of money (time and materials for the two extra sets of rails) and saved me a lot of frustration, if there had been better communication, and if the estimator had just brought the first set of rails back to the house with the installers, as I had asked him to do. I would absolutely never use this company again because of their extremely poor service. They are supposed to be a "custom" iron fabricator, but they were unable make and install a simple set of porch rails that were just a little different from usual. I

We spoke with Justin at Fortin, who was helpful and offered good advice in helping us pick out the fencing we needed and wanted for our project. He even offered advice on keeping down our costs, as we have a large yard(a double lot)and we knew that iron fencing all around would be very expensive. Overall, excellent work-the fence looks great(we had another company install the fence for us; Fortin did not install the fence).

They're very very good. Their quality is good. They actually fabricate the actual posts for you, they give you several choices and they're not pushy at all with their prices. You can pick from the basic ones to the most expensive ones. They came out and they were very clean. They came within the window that they said and they were here for an hour and half.

We were very happy with the work they did for us. We did not compare prices, but they seemed fair. They weren't cheap, but they did high-quality custom work. We wouldn't have expected a cheap price.

They always came out faster than they said they would, both in the measurement and manufacturing of the actual railing. The work is wonderful. They made exactly what we wanted and it fit properly. They were recommended to us by our general contractor. I would use them again in the future.

Fortin made the screen exactly as designed. The quality and workmanship is excellent and the design perfect.

They are the only people who would do that job. They seemed knowledgeable in what they were doing. They were polite and on time. It did take a long time because we had to get approval.

He was very helpful and creative, but we were not able to find a carpenter to do the necessary prep. work in time.

They were late because they went to the wrong street. Otherwise, they were very nice and did an excellent job. We found an old decorative gate from them for $50, and then they installed it. The man really went above and beyond for me. I was very pleased with their service. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

They did a great job. Their price was good, they were punctual and I was completely satisfied and I would call them again and recommend them as well.

I paid half of the money down as a deposit. They came out and knocked the entire porch off my house! Had a hack carpenter come out to try and rebuild it. Improperly installed the vinyl siding around the porch and left rain water running into my house! And the B***** owner of Fortin Iron turned me into a collection company! I have asked her to come and see the job and see if she would pay for the crappy workmanship-and she won't even come and see it! AND THE B**** TURNED ME IN TO A COLLECTION COMPANY!!!

They were the only company I looked into that was able to do the wrought iron railing. When I called them, they sent someone out right away to talk to me about what kind of railings would be appropriate. They custom make the railings to fit the need. I was very impressed with their level of service and I was very pleased with them.

They did very well. They stuck to the time limit. The price was a little steep but I had no one to compare it to since they are the only ones that could the work.

I would use them again.

Easy process. Half-down, and the installed piece looks great. Only "complaint" is that it took about 4-weeks to install. I know it's custom-made, but it was a pretty simple piece. But, we weren't in a hurry.

The salesman was a wonderful person! But when I went to their showroom to pay my deposit the people there are very stoic and they aren't friendly. (Before anyone buys they should go in and experience the coldness. That should have been my first indication if I ever had problems they wouldn't be kind. But who thinks they will have problems.) They order the materials and we scheduled a date. The installation crew was late. The cut the post and down came my entire porch. They tried to rebuild it using used materials left from the destruction. They took gutters from one of the owners houses and tried to hang them on mine. They didn't even match the others because they were a different size. They pulled the vinyl siding over and I now have open seems for rain to run into. They didn't flash the roof and rain runs in. They left two huge gashes in the vinyl siding where rain also runs in there. They have tried sending me to collections for the balance-I won't pay until they fix their mess!

Job was done exactly as requested. Josh came out and measured the job, and afterward I changed my mind as to one component and Josh came back and re-measured to be sure the change didn't impact the design. Quoted 6 to 8 weeks for fabrication and install and completed both in 5 weeks. Called once ready and installed on a Saturday morning.

We are exceedingly pleased with the work. The installed item has a fine appearance and is very functional to use.

We've used Fortin in the past to install a fence and gate in our driveway, so we knew the right choice was Fortin again when we needed railings and another gate installed. The product and excellent service they provide cannot be beat. We contacted them and within a few days they were out to measure and got the order placed. It was installed within a week. One final praise, they clean up great after themselves, we were actually gone when they were installed and it was like they were not even there.

I was having a custom patio put in, and the contractor did not handle railings. He would install one that I bought. I had seen Fortin's before and decided to call. I explained my situation and lack of knowledge on how to go about purchasing a railing for steps that had not even been built yet. I was worried about codes and wanted to have the railing before the contractor was done with his work and on to another project. The person taking my call was so helpful! She even suggested I stop in to look at their scrap railing to save me money. We ended up finding that there was no code requirements for our rail and decided to go without but will definitely use Fortin's in the future!
