Fortin Welding and Ironworks Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. He is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I've used them on two separate occasions, the later was November of 2012. It cost $14,000. German Village Commission, you can't go to Lowes and get your fencing got to get it from Fortin Iron Works. But they knew all of the ins and outs, they work almost exclusively in this neighborhood. The whole neighborhood is on medium, it's historic places. So everything has to go through the German Village Commission. You can't get a mailbox on your house with out it. I'm not making this up. You have to go and sit in front of this commission with all your stuff and they make decisions and tell you no. It's something I didn't know. I didn't know when we bought the house three years ago, had I known I probably would have made a different choice. Fortin Iron Works is a class act, completely entirely. I liked the quality of the craftsmanship. There is nobody that does the wrought iron design and execution the way that they do. They are above and beyond anyone I have every worked with. They were just A plus. They really know their business. They have been into this like 130 years or so. Which is what make them the choice of the German Village to do the work in the neighborhood. But again, everything, the look and feel of the fence. They helped me every step of the way. It was a blessing. It cost a lot of money it was a blessing, it's beautiful. In the back of the house where I thought we were going to put the fence in the back, they gave me an alternative plan they acutally put it along the edge of the patio that saved me $9,000 on the back fences. Their suggestion saved me $9,000. They didn't want to be digging holes in the landscaping, they're not landscapers, but the way that they suggested I do it was to actually drill holes into the edge of the patio and actually seat it on the edge of the patio and that is exactly what I did in the back and it saved me a huge amount of money and it was exactly what I needed.

Great! I called and he was here 2 days later when I didn't expect him for another week. He was able to bend back the gate without taking it in or having to make a return trip. I learned how to tighten the gate so it will latch easier and not have to call them back to do it, which was very helpful! Awesome experience! Love this company, they have done other work for us too and had great outcomes with very reasonable pricing. They had made a beautiful custom wine rack for our built in cabinets and refinished some chairs for us as well!

The whole experience was simple, easy and fast. We need exterior hand rails for two sets of stairs installed to meet buyer FHA requirements on our house. I called in, spoke with the operator, who told me that there were other options available, including one one that cost us substantially less than custom iron work. They also provided us with an installer. They were out in 48 hours and the installer (a subcontractor) was great and did very nice work. It's done, its a quality product, its installed correctly and it was easy to accomplish. HIGHLY recommend.

The installers were on time, installed the fence in approximately 4 hours. It is well installed , attractive and secures our back patio.

They were very good. I got the impression that they actually are better than all of the other landscape companies in regards to iron fencing as well as aluminum fencing. My only delay in not using them is instead one making decision its two is the only problem. They were on time coming out but there was a confusion or I didn't get the quote right away though from them. They were professional.

They took my husband's concept to modify the lights and worked on it. I liked the quality of their work. There was one small thing that didn't go well as it should that made a bigger difference. They worked on it and corrected it, which was very good.

We called Josh Van Gundy, Fortin Ironworks Project Manager, explaining that our unusual sloping stonework front steps become a skating rink during ice storms, leaving us in need of a sturdy hand hold to reach the drive way. Josh made a prompt appointment where he provided us with a very helpful pamphlet, viewed the site, measured it and discussed with us the options Fortin could provide. We also discussed at length the excellent related information on the Fortin website, which had influenced our decision to contact that firm. We settled on a mix of a handrail to be attached to the entryway wall and a free standing railing from the wall to the driveway. The following day Josh faxed us a quote with an attached sketch. The quote was exactly what we paid. We suggested modifications to the sketch and faxed it to Fortin. Jeff modified the plan accordingly and gave us an estimated time of installation of three to four weeks. A week later we received a call that our project was ready, and telling us to notify Fortin at our convenience when we would like installation. The project was completed on April 19, 2011, and it is exactly what we hoped for. The installation crew was prompt, thorough and professional. Frankly we were surprised at the reasonable cost for this wrought iron project; Fortin's personalized approach to ensure that we would be pleased with the result was greatly appreciated.

They did a very good job, and they thoroughly explained everything they were doing.

Simple. Although it was a small job, it was easy and I can now be confident that no one will fall off the porch into the bushes where the wild cats hang out.

They were very prompt in both providing an estimate and advice on what design to use for our property. And after 6 weeks of getting our handrail fabricated, they called to schedule a time to come out and install our handrails. Their wrought iron looks wonderful!

The service technician at the front counter called in the fellow who was actually going to do the welding work and I showed him a picture and a blueprint of what I wanted. The welding artisan asked some questions and we discussed the project. It went well and I would use this company again.

Estimate was prompt. It was six weeks until service was performed due to hand made rails. Service was friendly and prompt. They answered all of my questions.

I rate them very high. I was thrilled dealing with them. I have the best tralis in my yard than any other house in this area and it is pretty remarkable. They were very professional. Their store room is amazing. They have a lot of art work there.
