They have been excellent, do a good job, are honest, and don't try to do work that is not needed. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them.

My husband totally believes in them. We started with them years ago when we owned a Sterling. We also have purchased cars from them for our grandchildren. I will recommend them and use them, again.

They were going to charge me for something, but I decided not to go there. I ended up taking the car to another place. It was the next day it was really quick.

Jim was so patient and helpful to my daughter during this time. He worked with her so she understood what needed to be fixed and what could wait. He made sure she understood what the repairs were and why they were needed. He identified an additional problem with the suspension and let her know the cost but told her it could wait. He offered to call the place where she bought the car - the people that rebuilt it - and talk to them about some of the repairs that, in his opinion, should have been fixed as part of the rebuild. She had the necessary repairs completed and he worked with her on payments. The car has worked well since the reapirs - even though she decided to postpone the suspension repairs at that time. Fast forward, several months. He called her yesterday and left a message saying he just wanted to check up on her and make sure she got the repairs taken care of. He said she was such a nice young lady and he knew there were many 'chaps' out there that might take advantage of her and he wanted to make sure she knew he still had her info on file and would work out a payment plan with her, if that would help. This place does not NEED her business. They are busy all of the time. I believe he was genuinely checking up on her. As a parent who is letting go of a young adult daughter, I am thrilled to find there are honest, caring businesses out there. It is comforting to know she has found a car repair shop that will treat her with respect and honesty. Kudos to Jim!

Based on my previous experience, I took my classic Land Rover to Evans for an oil change. Because of their overall experience and knowing my car I feel I am always in good hands. This is an every 6 months service and I know they will not only change the oil but also look over the car and let me know of other issues. Because of their assistance, I am making repairs to the car that will allow it to be on the road for many more years.

The car is in great shape but the previous owner did not drive it much which did more harm than good. I knew of some issues but wanted professionals to give it a look so I had some sort of starting point. I did not want to take it to a dealership and knew Evans had a solid reputation of working on foreign cars (I also used Angie's List to read reviews.). From the moment I called to see if they were interested, they did not hesitate to explain their knowledge of classic Land Rovers and made me feel at ease with bringing my car to them. They kept me abreast of the progress and pointed out things to be worked on in an order of priority.

I have a truck in my fleet that has about 15 times the money in it than it is worth, but I love that truck. This truck just goes, Someone of poor character dumped salt into the gas tank. Evan figured that out. Insurance paid for it. They did this for a very fair price and they did a lot for the money. They replaced the whole fuel injection system, the gas tank and all the fuel lines.. The truck is still going strong! When I was at their shop I also noticed several Ferraris, a Mazzerati, a Rolls Royce, many Mercedes, many BMWs and the like. Most were the highest end models. I got the feeling that many of my neighbors really trusted these guys with any kind of car.They also had many bays for working on cars and everyone I met there was totally professional and competent. I think this is the secret place to get impossible repairs done on any car at a very good price. I thought I would have to junk my truck but they fixed it and after all these years it is still producing. I am a contractor and what we do is not easy on trucks- slate roofing!

Evans was on the phone constantly with the North American HQ for the car's manufacturer as well as England. Car is like new after repairs were completed. Took from August until June to get all parts needed for repair. Was able to adapt a Lucas part which was quite a bit different from the original part (although it carried the same part #). I'm delighted to have the car back.

I have a 06 Land Rover and while I am not anti Midwest Auto Group, I really want to do my part in supporting local, so asked around for recommendations. Evan's was referred to me by another Land Rover owner who's used them many times and the reviews here on Angie's List were convincing.
I emailed a service request and promptly received a phone call w/an estimate of the work. I set up an appt and had no wait upon arrival. Upon completion, they gave me a list of a few things that I should consider in the future with cost estimates and w/NO pressure. I will be scheduling a follow-up appt soon to get these other service items addressed.
I feel I am getting great service at a fair price from Evan's and am thankful to now have my and quot;local garageand quot;.
Did I mention they have wifi. :) So, I was able to work while I waited.

I needed an oxygen sensor installed on my BMW, so I called them for an appointment, then went in a couple of days later on my lunch hour to get it installed. An hour later it was done and I was on my way!

I thought the price was fair, though I don't know what other prices are around. The quality of the work was good.

After purchasing a "new" car in 2005, I took it to the dealership for service. It was close. Recently, they gave me an estimate of $1100 to replace the exhaust system. They did recommend I go somewhere else (Midas...) because they could do it cheaper. I have used those muffler services in the past and was not happy. So, I returned to Evans Automotive after a four years absence. I will once again return here for all my car repairs. They said that I only need a repair, fixed it within 24 hours, and charged $185.00 Make sure to talk to Jim - he is knowledgeable and funny.

Excellent, as usual they found problems, and solved them.
Note, this is a proffessional shop that services basic vehicles to the most high end vehicles.
I have taken my vehicles here before when the dealer could not sokve problems.

I really enjoyed doing business with them. They were able to get it towed in and diagnosed the problem. They were able to fix the problems at a very affordable rate. I would suggest doing business with them instead of the porshe dealers.

They are courteous, and professional but their prices were extraordinarily high. I could have the same job done for half the price. I will not use this company in the future.

I have been using them for a couple of years for the service of my car. and I have satisfied with the quality of the work and the price.
