Eagle Specialty Remodeling

The work was pretty satisfactory. John made some recommendations that worked well. He recommended a pocket door for space saving. He did a pretty satisfactory job. He was a conscientious worker. They were able to do the plumbing and electric as well. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with.

We have worked with them in the past and we had a really good experience. The negative part was that we would schedule the work and they never did turn up. I think if they had done that, I probably would have moved forward and had the project done. They kind of dropped the ball and the project was never done. Initially they were very responsive and came out very quickly.

The rooms look great. Once Eagle started working, they had one or more people on the job every day until the remodeling was completed. This was very important to us and greatly appreciated. We have had the misfortune of contractors starting a job and then disappearing for weeks before completing the work. Eagle was very helpful in the making selections of materials and providing advice as to alternatives. They were very receptive to making changes as the job progressed and even readily agreed to move a medicine cabinet that we had mistakenly placed off center. In addition, they were willing to work with our cabinet maker (Miller Cabinets). This is in contrast to contractors that we interviewed that only wanted to install their cabinets. Eagle also recommended a good painter and helped coordinate his work as the bathrooms and kitchen progressed. We also appreciate the help and continuity that their primary worker, John, provided on a daily basis. He was on the job from start to finish. His tile work is outstanding, and he was able to improvise to make things work. As with any large project, there are items that will need to be adjusted or fixed. Eagle readily addressed some minor issues regarding cabinet drawers and a leaky faucet.

Overall, the process was great. Scott took the time to listen and hear exactly what I wanted to accomplish. I stressed I wanted to match the exact architectural aesthetics of the house (built in 1919) and they did a good job. They were the only estimate that was willing to hand dig the foundation so to not disturb the retaining wall, irrigation system and landscaping already in place. Myron performed the excavation, foundation, framing, window installation and siding and was outstanding. He even identified a broken roof truss and fixed it. He was extremely polite, made sure the work area was cleaned up each evening and did a fantastic job. Overall, they were exactly within the timeframe they expected the job to take and the craftsmanship was excellent. My only negative point was after discussing a design point with Tom (who manages the work crews), it was not communicated to Myron, which led to the exterior not lining up exactly as we had discussed, but this was also my fault, as I should have made sure what we discussed was written down. Other than that, everything was fantastic and I would definitely hire them again for any remodeling needs I have.

Our experience was great. Scott and Claire met with us two times before we made the decision to go with Eagle. They were friendly and eager to earn our business. They estimated the date they would start on our project and started right on time. Claire seemed to be just as concerned about how everything looked as I was. She was extremely helpful when picking out and ordering the components of our new bathrooms. John was assigned to our home and did all of the work. We really felt like he took pride in the work and made sure everything was done well. If something didn't look right, he fixed it before we even were aware. He even decided he should move a recessed mirror up 1/4 of an inch, so it would open more easily. (I'm not sure I would have even noticed!) These "extras" were an extremely pleasant surprise since this was our first remodeling experience...and we had heard horror stories from our friends. The total time of the project took about a week longer than expected, but this was not upsetting since we felt the high standard of quality was worth it. We could not be happier and we are already planning our next project with Eagle.

The original estimate of time was to be around 3 to 3 1/2 weeks. It took almost eight and there are still a couple of small items left to do as of this date (08/21/09). Part of the problem was delays in getting inspections done, which I know is out of the contractors hands. The main problem was that some of the sub-contractors were not very good about getting to the job when they said they would which then caused the next step in the process to be delayed. I couple of times one of the subs didn't show at all when they said they would. The qualitiy of the work was very good when it did get done. We would probably use them again, but would not depend on the schedule they say would take place.

They just walked through the house- they didn't take the time to ask any questions about what the work would be, take any measurements, etc. The quote was very high and I ended up going with another company.

We had a caved-in exterior shower wall. Eagle gave us an estimate based on a few different scenarios likely to have caused the problem. Theirs was by far the most reasonable estimate for the work we wanted to have performed. Upon starting the work, Mike could literally pull off the old tiles and drywall by hand-the drywall had rotted because the builder installed a sheet of plastic between the drywall and the insulation, causing a vapor lock and preventing moisture from showers/baths to escape. We had to wait for the insurance adjuster to inspect it and once that was done, Mike tore out the entire tile surround including drywall, tub, fixture and towel bars. He installed new cement board, new tiles, a new tub, a new fixture, and replaced the old soap dish and towel bar. Due to some family issues, he wasn't able to devote a full day's work a few days, but the other days he worked hard all day and got the job finished in 6 days-including the time waiting for the insurance adjuster, and waiting for grout and caulk to set. After installing the tub, we discovered that the builder shorted the vinyl floor(unsurprising)so Eagle said they'd install a 1/2 round baseboard to keep the floor down. It took several calls over several months to get them to come back to do that. Since the work was done(two years ago ...)I've had to replace the caulk under the tiles at the top of the tub.

From the moment we talked to completion, things went smoothly and my needs were always considered. They told me the start date and they started on that date. The entire project was done within three months which I considered remarkable even tho we had good weather. I knew who was coming the next day and they consistently worked on the addition. If something wasn't quite what I wanted, they changed it. They were considerate and careful of my pets. Overall, everything when far better with less frustration to me than I ever dreamed it could. I have already contracted with Eagle for another smaller project.

They were fantastic. Their work is very high quality. They have good ideas and they are willing to work with you. Their punctuality was perfect.

I was given an estimate by Scott in April and told the work would start in about 3 months. The work started right on schedule and was completed in a little over 3 week. The estimate was right on. Everyone was so professional to work with. Claire gave me great suggestion for the tile work that I love. I changed a few things and Tim handled the changes promptly, the same day. Each day, John, Myron or Vernon spent time cleaning up. Everyone that comes to see the new work can not believe how great the craftsmanship is. I am so happy with everything! The back porch is in cedar and it is something I wanted for years. The roof line matches the existing roof and the shingles were ordered to match also. The neighbors love it! It turned out so much better than I imagined. I enjoyed working with each and everyone at Eagle and we will recommend them to everyone.

They did a great job. They were very professional. We went with them because they had such great ideas that we hadn't considered and turned out much better than what we had planned. They were able to provide a lot of information. The worker-Mike- was courteous he cleaned up, he was very attentive and would make changes when necessary.

We were very delighted. They were very pleased with the overall service. They did high quality work and took pride in what they did. They were on time and it was done in a timely fashion.

Overall they were good. They were clean and they picked up after themselves when they were done. They were close to the estimate that they gave me. Overall it went good.

Did a great job. Absolutely lovely people. They are a little bit higher. He wrapped the exterior trim on my house. Had it wrapped with an aluminum. They are a high quality contractor.

I was impressed with how quickly they were able to come out to my house and provide a quote. I decided to with another company that I had prior experience with, but I thought Scott was very professional and punctual.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong with them! They completed the job promptly and cleaned up after themselves.

This was our first remodeling experience, so maybe this is normal. The tile guy dropped a tool and chipped the cast iron bathtub. The granite countertop installers chipped the backsplash, and when they came out to fix it, they broke the sink. Eagle handled the problems well, however, their representative did not catch the mistakes (and the laborers did not own up to them). So, it was pretty disappointing to find the damage ourselves. Live and learn, I suppose.

They were fantastic! They presented a plan and helped me in a very professional way. They did meticulous work, and the results were beautiful. They were not only on time but they stayed on schedule. They got the job done in about two weeks. I just can't say enough good things about them! All of the people that they had working were of the highest quality. I won't hesitate to recommend them.

I had five companies come out to go over my ideas and give a bid for the work. From the moment I met Claire Love with Eagle, I knew that they were the ones to beat. Claire was very detailed and gave me some great ideas and a very complete estimate. After choosing Eagle the process went smoothly. We got together numerous times to get all the details together from tile to fixtures to colors and beyond. Throughout the process we added and subtracted things from the contract. This being my first major remodel, I was looking to make it perfect and I admit to making numerous alteration. They never hesitated to go with the flow. Work started on time and the crew was prompt and efficient. As the work progressed we did a little change in tile design and the completion deadline did grow, but the quality was so good we did not mind the extra time. After all we wanted it done right. When the job was completed it turned out better than we had ever imagined.

We had 3 estimates for this job, one being in the $35,000 range. We don't typically hire the lowest or the highest when reviewing bids but this estimate turned out to be the lowest of the three. During the initial visit with Scott, who came up the stairs measuring everything and asking questions that facilitated a great dialog, this company seemed very competent and my mind was made up who would be remodeling our bathroom. Although the work took longer than promised, Greg was meticulous at completing the job with the exception of the tile work (that, too, was done with care). They were always prompt, left the work area tidy, and protected our wood floors in the process. We have been considering a much larger remodeling job and will definitely call Eagle again.

We've used this company before, and have been very impressed with the quality and professionalism of its employees. When issues arose, they were very responsive to our concerns. The entire project only took a month, and we're really happy with the end result.

We were not in a hurry, so we waited for an opening with their workers for several months with no problem. The work was done quickly, in two days, once they called. The worker was very polite and did an excellent job. We were very pleased with the results.
