Contacts with this company were initially prompt and very courteous. The technician was punctual and gave me an estimate upfront. He was knowledgeable, and worked efficiently, not even stopping for lunch. He fully explained what materials were needed and what could and could not be done, and was polite and helpful. Unfortunately, in installing the new "works" in one of my toilets, the technician cracked the tank. It can't be repaired, and must be replaced.The technician tried to tell me that the tank was already cracked, but it previously held water perfectly. (Also, his words to me were, "I can't believe I didn't notice that crack." He didn't see a crack, but now he's telling me there was one?) Accidents do happen, so I called the Home Butler office and proposed that I would buy the new toilet, and asked if they would come install it for me. This seemed like a more than fair resolution.The company has not responded to my phone call or my follow-up e-mail, and I am left with an unuseable toilet. Update: After my initial report was submitted, the company called me and has now replaced the damaged toilet. As before the technician, Matt, who actually did the work was on-time, polite, efficient, and was careful to keep my rugs and floors clean.

The company was hired to remodel a bathroom which included new floor tile, tile shower surround with niche, medicine cabinet, new tub, sink and shower plumbing, shower door, drywall and beadboard. They were also to locate and repair an existing leak. Despite a contract which assured us that they would do it, they failed to obtain building permits. The tile work was absolutely awful and had to be re-done 3 times just to make it passable. The walls were wavy and the shower niche had a reverse slope and unfinished edges. The original leak was identified and repaired, but another leak began to show on the ceiling below (kitchen) at the completion of their work. The company denied there was another leak at first. A month later after we saw water coming out of a ceiling light fixture, they eventually sent out a plumber who told us that he repaired the problem. The marks on the kitchen ceiling continued to get worse. We made many attempts over the next few months to contact CCR to come back out and open up the ceiling which was stained and moldy. They refused to return emails or acknowledge a problem. Eventually after water was literally pouring down through the kitchen cabinets, they finally came out, opened the ceiling, and found a simple problem: a wax ring that seals the toilet, was broken. Upon opening the ceiling, we found mold which had been growing on the new subfloor, joists, drywall, etc. They denied that they had any culpability for the mold yet they did make an attempt to clean it up. Afterwards, we hired a certified mold remediator who confirmed that it was not cleaned completely or to the proper standards. Two of our kitchen cabinets were ruined along with a cabinet full of pantry items and spices, none of which they paid for. When we tried to confront them about our findings, they accused us of intentionally breaking the wax ring that caused the leak and they also made disparaging and inappropriate remarks about our family.

I called about 2 weeks before Christmas and they got back to me that day with an estimate (by email...very professional). I called the next day to schedule the work and they were able to come out that same week. Brandon, the installer, was on time and they took a few hours to install some of the lights. The only issue that I had was that the guys left before they finished and did not ring the bell to let me know that they were having an issue. I called Matthew to get in touch with the installers and he called back very promptly to let me know that the guys had run out of working lights and were back at the shop looking for more. They then called back to say that they would be back out the next day (a Saturday) to finish up the installation. Brandon again was on time and started the installation but his lights were not all working again and I offered a set that I had to finish off the tree. On the night before Christmas Eve I noticed that there were several strands of lights out on the bushes in the driveway, so I called Matthew. The next morning, Brandon called to let me know that he would be back out to fix everything. He was and by 11 am all was working well once again. They just came out (Jan 7th) to take the lights down and they did give me back the strings that I gave them for the tree. This is a very friendly and professional group and I will hire them again next year.

They actually came a day early which was good. There was also a section of the lights that had fallen which they came out to fix it for no additional charge.

They touched up stain behind the sink, repaired stairs, reattached and put film on sky light. Installed absorbent chair rail to prevent the car door from banging the wall.

We like Matthew, he was professional, punctual and his estimate was competitive -for personal reasons we did not go ahead with the room addition - but would have been happy to use him if we did the work.

Very good experience. Phone was answered the first time I called. The Christmas light installation was a birthday gift for my mother who has a November birthday. Mr. Ray accommodated my need to meet me for an estimate at a time I knew she would not be home in order to keep the gift a surprise. He e-mailed an estimate the same day he looked at the job. I requested an installation date to correspond with her birthday and this was done on time. Installation took about four hours and they are to return in January to remove lights. This cost several hundred dollars. I'm not sure what other companies charge for this so no opinion on how cost compares to other service providers.
