Purchased a special deal on Angies list for $60 furnace cleaning.  Technician Todd arrived on time, performed the cleaning service and was very professional.  Our furnace hadn't been cleaned in years.  Todd reminded us in a professional manner that we needed to have the furnace cleaned regularly.

We had Columbus Worthington come out to do a routine maintenance check on our furnace.  They determined that it had a cracked heat exchanger.  They told us they would send another technician out for a second opinion, at no charge, and I accepted that so that my husband would be home to see the crack.  They came back out and the second technician showed my husband the crack.  We immediately told them we needed a quote to replace the furnace because we did not want it repaired for fear that brand of heat exchanger would just crack again.  They sent a sales representative out of the same day to give us an estimate.  In the meantime we had a second company come out and give us a quote so we would have two estimates to compare.  Columbus Worthington Air was just a little higher, but we liked the brand of furnace they installed better and they were very prompt and knowledgeable.  They actually had a opening the very next day and we had them install a new furnace and a/c at the same time.  Our units were only 9 years old (original equipment), but we felt that since that brand failed so quickly, we were concerned that the a/c might be quick to fail as well, so we had them replace both units.  Jeff B. and Jason A. installed our new equipment and were polite, courteous and kept everything neat and clean.  We would strongly recommend Columbus Worthington Air to anyone who needs maintenance or considering purchasing new HVAC equipment.

I can't say enough great things about the technician, Matt.  He was pleasant and professional.  He also took the time to explain information on the humidifier and UV light.  He educated without being condescending and asked great questions to get to the root of the things I did not understand.
I would not hesitate to use this company again, especially if all their associates have the same level of professionalism and customer service.

My complaint is not about the quality of the service but  with the price I was charged for service.  No new parts were installed, and the total time spent was about 20 minutes.   I don't mind paying the $84 trip charge, but $65 to wipe off the flame sensor is not a reasonable charge. (It took the technician less than 2 minutes to remove it, wipe it with a cloth and put it back in!  At least I know how to do that myself from now on.
 I recommend getting service from somewhere else if reasonable prices are important to you.

First of all I think the 5 hour window of expecting someone to be available at 30 minutes notice is not considerate of the customer. Secondly, my expectation was arrival between 12 noon and 5 pm, not just a phone call indicating that my time would be occupied even after the 5 hour window.
On both occasions when I called customer service at 4:30 - 4:45 pm I got the same response "the service repairman ran into a lot of customers that did not have heat and was delayed. We do not know how soon he will be able to service you, but you are next" which was of no consolation to me since I had been waiting all day TWICE! When I called on 11/27 the customer service person assured me that I would be taken care of and not have to wait until the end of the day again when I rescheduled and that did not happen. Now I am out of the $59.00 I paid in advance and under no circumstances would I schedule with them again. I had heard that their service was good and they were prompt, but this did not work out for me. So I am going back to my previous service provider and am sorry I delayed by giving them a chance.

12/22/2015 I would like to add that I was contacted by Customer service and discussed my concerns. I must say that I really appreciate the understanding of the person with whom I spoke and his offer to rectify these issues. I accepted the offer and will provide another review of the actual service after the appointment scheduled for 1/15/16 @ 9 am is complete.

I recommend getting a service contract with Columbus/Worthington Air.  You get priority service, discounts on parts and there is no labor costs if they come out to address a problem.  You also get a spring and fall system inspection.  I have been impressed with this company the two times they have come out.  On an earlier visit this year, they uncovered a wiring issue in our heating system that was causing us to spent hundreds of extra dollars on heating costs.   In addition, they convinced me to replace a humidifier that was defective and solved another problem with our heat pump.  I ended up spending like $400, but will save several hundred dollars a year on heating/cooling costs.  They are fair on pricing, trustworthy, and always on time.  I really like out technician and you can request him for all related calls.  I have done business with 3 or 4 other heating/cooling companies in Columbus, and Columbus/Worthington Air is by far the best of them all.

Started out with an annual furnace check from Ian.   He was very thorough and answered all my questions about the crack in the heat exchanger that he found.  Ian also took the time to thoroughly clean the air purification system and showed me how I could do it in the future, which I really appreciated.  We scheduled the same day to get a quote on a new system, since replacement part was no longer made by the manufacturer. 

Drew came out to my home and assessed the heating and cooling requirements and sat down with me to explain his findings.   He was very easy to talk with and was more than willing to explain things to me.  We scheduled to have the furnace and a/c replaced.

When Chris and Nate W. came to do the installation, they were right on time and did a nice job using drop cloths to protect my carpeting while they were going in and out and up and down stairs to the work area.  They stayed busy the entire time they were here, never took a break for lunch, just so they could get the job completed in one day.  They were easy to approach with questions and never seemed annoyed at me for asking.  After the installation was complete, Chris went over instructions for the furnace and the humidifier.  Again, very professional and courteous.
