The technician was friendly, polite and did a great job. When it was time for payment, I explained that we were told by their CJS receptionist that we had credit thru a previous payment for this cleaning. The technician called CJS and confirmed this and said we still had an $80.00 credit remaining! I was impressed with their honesty, service and record keeping!

Justin arrived with a helper to replace 2 circuit boards fried by a voltage surge as diagnosed by another tech for $2?00+ or so we thought. After doing his own diagnosis, Justin located the actual problem which was a wire nut had allowed a connection to come loose and break the circuit. We had him install surge protectors as we’ve had problems with this before with other items in the house for $500 not $2,000 for circuit boards. We appreciate that kind of integrity from him!! Thank you Justin!!

I assisted my mother-in-law in finding good service for her HVAC when it broke down some years back. When it came time for us to replace our HVAC, my prior exceptionally good experience w/CJS made calling them an easy first choice. We’ve had our top-of-the-line Tempstar unit for just over 3 years now. I’ve been pleased with the unit, as well as the service from all their technicians, including Judson who came by for today’s routine (preventative maintenance) service call.

Our AC started acting up on a Friday. I called CJS Heating and Cooling because they are one of the few AC places that have Saturday appointments. They came out (Sept. 10, 2022) and were over the top friendly. The technician assessed the air-conditioning unit and said the ground wire to the compressor was completely melted and the wires in the compressor were all completely melted in it. She then explained how freon is now illegal, so it costs a lot for our system to be repaired. She verbally quoted us $10,000 to repair our compressor correctly so we would be much better off to just get a new system. She left and sent in the project manager who quoted an extremely expensive price for even their base unit. My husband was out of town, and I repeatedly told him that I was unwilling to decide without speaking to him first. He kept reassuring me that the company was all about customer service and that I needed to make a decision that weekend so that they could get us on the books for a replacement. He emphasized that it was all about making us comfortable because it was hot. He was quite insistent about me deciding right away. The project manager was so over the top friendly and insistent on me making an immediate decision that I became uncomfortable with the situation. I called in another AC company for a second opinion. The company came in and quoted us a price for a new unit that a third of the price of CJS with a better warranty. Before deciding on a new unit he checked our existing unit and came back in less than 10 minutes holding a part in his hand – a bad capacitor. The freon was full, pressures were good, and the amps were normal. He said this was the only problem and that there were not melted wires everywhere. He said this was an easily recognized problem. He fixed it and cleaned the air-conditioning coils in 20 minutes. The part was $150. With the service fee and the part, the air-conditioning was fixed with less than $300 verses $10,000. Our air conditioning started right up and has been running for over a month with no problems. I highly recommend that anyone using CJS to always get a second opinion/competitive quote before signing anything. They are super friendly and want you to believe they are looking out for you, but our experience was very different.

Had my ac capacitor go out and contacted them to come up. Gave me an earliest appt ten days out unless I signed up for the plus club at $20/mth the. It was gonna be a two day turnaround. Felt that was a huge red flag but still signed up. Plus club was supposed to give me $69 rate on a $99 inspection fee and 10% off repairs. Charged me $240 for the capacitor, average cost $120 and $90 for an air filter that costs $40. Can’t imagine what they upcharge on their furnace and water heater replacement. I would not recommend them and I will not use them again. Their club discounts are still twice as high as the competitors regular rates and No baiting to get service in a timely manner. If you have to use pressure sales and your in a SERVICE industry, either your product sucks or your ethically devoid and taking advantage of your customers.

This is only for the Mini-Split HVAC. For whole house HVAC system they are fine. The first think is they put in the wrong circuit breaker on circuit box. It has not worked properly since I got it. It takes forever to cool after I turn it on. It takes like hours. I am trying to conserve electricity. When it cools, it cools 4 degrees colder than what it shows on the thermostat. the thermostat uses infrared, which need a line of site. THey should have used bluetooth. So it either runs to long or does not turn on. They gave me a new remote with the thermostat. still having issues. This is LG mini split. do not but a LG mini split. I had for 6 months and still do not know how to adjust the thermostat to get how I want it. It is frustrating. Ever time CJS comes to look at they cannot find anything wrong. they want 800 dollars to install a regular thermostat. That is way to much. I do not recommend CJS for mini split HVAC system.

Then Josh & Josh came out to replace & they were great to work with. Very knowledgeable and just did they work with great attitudes!

Jamison has outstanding customer service skills: patient and understanding, good listener, he addressed each one of our many questions. He was respectful of our(wife and my differing issues regarding regulating the unit's heating "problems," but was also able to explain the "science" of how our furnace was designed to perform and explained to us what would happen if he complied with our position and how bad that would be for the life of our 3-year CJS installed furnace. IMHO, I think many other techs would have done what the customer thought was the right move; not fully explained what was wrong with going that route; get her or his money and move on to the next customer.

My furnace quit working during the winter and my normal service wasn't available till late the next day so I called CJS. The technicians that installed my Heating and Cooling as well as technician who performed maintenance were professional and did a good job. However, given the amount I paid, I'm disappointed in the response of the business operations. Part of the package was an inspection through the City of Gahanna. After waiting more than 30 days for CJS to supply the permit number needed for the inspection, I finally called the city department. The City employee followed-up with CJS on an incomplete submission so I could get my inspection scheduled. I've have called on several occasions and asked for a warrantee document and detailed receipt because I only have a marketing flyer and an inaccurate hand written work order. I've never received the requested documentation

Judson came on time with mask on right before the entrance. He took his time and went through all the tune-up steps. He was very patient cleaning the dirty filter case and the outside AC with a little help on the hose. Judson has been very thorough and didn't try to sell anything. He pointed out a capacitor issue that needs replaced - he gave the price CJS charges (which to me 15+ times higher for a small part per check on any store). I wish CJS consider a bit more reasonable pricing on part replacement that doesn't really cost much and take less than 10 minutes to install. Technician (Judson) is great for the job going above and beyond - so going for 5 stars

Andrew is the consummate professional. He knows this business. He was patient in helping me understand the steps in changing our special filter. He answered my tons of questions without appearing annoyed. I was worried about using trimming the grass around the outdoor fan unit as well as cleaning it. He made time to show me the do’s and don’ts of that task, too. He even used his hose to demonstrate how it’s properly done. Great guy!
