We were very happy with our remodeled bathroom after working with Buckeye Guys. They were extremely easy to work with, flexible with changes along the way and dependable. They showed up every day until the bathroom remodel until finished. No disappearing along the way like some contractors do. Their attention to detail and quality of work was top-notch. I had the pleasure of working with The Buckeye Guys for a basement remodeling project, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Fence and deck installed in 2018. Many delays and hiccups during construction phase which were ultimately resolved. When the deck and fence were quoted I stated that I wanted a no maintenance solution and asked for the no maintenance non wood solution. The owner, Bill, talked us into using pine for the fence and deck with all weather paint on them and that this would be maintenance free for 5 years plus. Last year we already were seeing bare wood through the finish and by 2020 we have significant bare wood showing on the deck and fence. Also, during the build process I expressed concern about some of the boards which had cracks and voids and was told that this is normal. As of this year, 2020, one of the runner boards for the fence has broken completely through at a knot point (the board is literally sheared into two pieces). I believe that inferior wood may have been used and also that the paint was applied too thinly. The can says to apply two coats and the contractor applied only one coat. I have contacted the owner Bill repeatedly and he will not respond. I am very disappointed in the quality of the work provided and the failure to meet the requirement for no maintenance.

I would highly recommend Buckeye Guys for any home improvement needs you may have. I recently contracted Bill and his team to design & build a deck for my newly built home. The professionalism and responsiveness from Bill was superior to other quotes I received. The design ideas really helped the appearance and functionality of my deck. He listened to my "wants" and helped guide me for the best possible deck within my budget. The quality and follow has been fantastic, something rarely experienced in this industry.

We wanted a patio in our back yard, but our yard is steeply slanted and I knew it would be a challenge. Not knowing anything about this kind of project, we got estimates from a couple different companies. Bill from Buckeye Guys came out and took a look, told us what would be required (and told us a couple things that we DIDN'T need to do because it would be a waste of money). His company was able to take care of not just the paver patio, but also the excavation and leveling of our yard, the wood skirting that hides the under-side of our deck, and a hand rail next to the steps. (Other companies told us they would do the pavers, but they don't do woodwork.) The price Bill gave us was less than what we were quoted by other companies, we got more for our money, and there were no games or nickel-and-diming. Walter (paver guy) and Jay (decking/wood guy) took care of the rest, and we are INCREDIBLY happy with the results. They went above and beyond what they needed to do, altering their plans and taking extra time where necessary to make sure our project turned out the best it could. In two weeks, our back yard was totally transformed! I would absolutely recommend these guys, and down the road when we decide to tackle our basement, I know who I am going to call!

They made the process simple. We sat down with Bill the owner, agreed on the price, and then they took care of the rest. They completed and submitted the HOA application for us. Their installer called me the day before to let me know he would be out to install the posts. He explained to us what his process was going to be. He came back two days later after the concrete had set and placed the fence. When he was done, he went over everything he did including the gate latch he installed. Fence quality is great. They used a 4" x 6" for the gate support so I'm confident it will not sag over time.

Bill came out in mid-March to take a look at some wood trim and deck issues I'd like to have repaired. Once he looked, he referred me to Brandon, his handy-man, who came out separately to look. When I spoke with both them, at no point in this process did they give the impression that they would not or could not perform the work, however I did have to reach out to them to get a response after several days each time. It's now 5 weeks later, 3 calls after our initial conversations which have gone un-returned over a span of 2 weeks, and no estimate. I was up-front with both that we were looking to get this addressed as we are putting our house on the market, and now we are really stuck as I have to start over with a new business, all of which I am sure are booked months out at this point. Buckeye Guys has really left me in a tough spot. I've generally had great luck with Angie's list as this is my first negative review, but this one really tied me up.

"I had a very nice meeting with [Member Name Removed] in general on our initial appointment this past year. I thought it was for a new deck installation which was not accurate. [Member Name Removed] basically just wanted to scrape down and paint various areas of the exterior of his home and deck to save money. I actually thought it would be easier for [Member Name Removed] and his timeline on selling his home to recommend him to a provider directly that we have used. Basically, we were not trying to make any money on the home owner as a middle man. Brandon had been very reliable for us in the past and he was a better fit for the services that he needed that we did not do by itself very often. I could have been clearer of why we recommended Brandon so that everything could have been clearer to [Member Name Removed]. My apologies on that aspect. First of all the "F" rating is really uncalled for as we did no work and no agreement was ever in place. No arrangements were ever established. No work was ever completed and this is an unfair mark. Simply to lash out at the company on how we held up the project is just not true. However, we do understand the inconvenience since Brandon did a poor job following through with [Member Name Removed] on future meetings to discuss possibilities. The five weeks thing is far fetched. Either way we could have done a better job making sure if the guy we referred followed up with the home owner. We understand some general frustration and have even offered to give a gift card to a nice restaurant of the home owners choosing several months ago, just for this inconvenience. The offer still stands once the rating is removed."

I was extremely impressed by how fast they had the fence installed! It looks great. Definitely sturdy and strong. Office staff was responsive and helpful. The installation went perfectly. I didn't have one complaint. Would definitely use them again.

I hired Buckeye Guys to build a 4' tall cedar fence in my backyard. The price was not the best quote I received but I went with them because I trusted their quality. The fence was installed very quickly and looks great. However, I also tried to use Buckeye Guys for repairs to my kitchen and basement due to water damage. I had somebody come out to prepare a quote for me and I thought things were going to go great. After 3 weeks I finally received a quote via email. The quote was not even close to the ballpark amount we had previously discussed and was not something I could send to my insurance company for their approval. I have attempted to call and email numerous times for clarification and cannot get a call back or an email back. I even tried calling the office multiple times and never got a call back. After 4 weeks, I called the office and asked to have the owner call me because the guy I was working with would not get back in touch with me. Needless to say the owner never called me back. They have lost what would have been a return customer for years to come, and I unfortunately cannot recommend them to anyone due to their poor communication. I can't express how disappointed I am, and I will be searching for someone else to perform the services now.

By far one of the best experiences with a contractor. The whole experience helped me to envision what I would be getting. Everyone was professional and also gave me tips and ideas about where to put the fence and gates, and also how to maintain the fence. Super nice and also completed in a timely manner. I priced three contractors for a fence and they were reasonably priced and their attention to details raised them to the top.

When the project started I was told it would take 3 days to complete after the holes were inspected for the framing. The project took 18 (including weekends) which would have been fine if they would have told me this from the start. The worker even said they would work a Saturday and then didn't show, or call. When I questioned the guy who quoted the 3 days he acted like he never said it and he had no clue where I got it from. The workers left garbage around the yard for days without picking it up. They also left a pallet in my front yard killing my grass for at least a week (the work was in the back). The owner was very disrespectful when I contacted him to come to the site before I made final payment saying "I don't know what you could possibly have to complain about now". I made multiple requests for increased communication about the timeline of when workers would be working, and projected end date that went ignored. Some days the workers would stay until 10am, and some days they would take a 2 hour lunch come back for their tools and leave. So I assume they are just not making my job a priority. In the end the owner came and addressed my concerns, and had the guys fix the problem areas. My finished deck is beautiful, and well built. So if you are not worried about good customer service the do quality work. I should have canceled it when the guy showed up to go over samples of material with me to pick out what we wanted the deck made out of, and he had nothing with him not even a brochure.

It went great. From the time Bill came out to give us options and a quote to helping finishing the projects (and even helping us when a property dispute occurred!), Buckeye Guys Construction has been a pleasure to work with. The construction is quick and well done, and they thoroughly cleaned up the yard each time they were there, and hauled away all scraps. They walked us through what was done with each project, and have encouraged us to call them if boards were to warp or something otherwise went wrong. I look forward to consulting and working with them on future projects!

Buckeye Guys Construction did our basement from day one when the Sales Rep. came out to give us a estimate we were very impressed. He went over all the details and layout with us showing us materials that would be used. Within a couple of days we were introduced to our crew chief and the workers. They showed up on time always cleaned up after theirself and any questions we had they were more than eager to answer. The quality of work that these guys perform is absolute perfection. We would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for Home Improvement work to be done.

The supplies were dropped off the day before the job started. The job was started on a Sunday which I didn't really like but the job was completed in one day. The crew that build the fence were not very professional. They didn't tell me what there were doing and when asked where I wanted the gate I was told that it could not go there. I'm not happy with how the gate was installed. Overall it went pretty well. Just a few things i would have changed if I were would have been given the opportunity.

Buckeye Guys Construction did a great job installing a deck in my back yard. They new what they were doing, they gave good direction and offered the best option to meet my needs. the crew that cam to do the actual installation were courteous in every way, made all the necessary adjustments when the current plan i had in place changed the day of installation.
They were fast, paid attention to details and delivered a great deck. I will hire Buckeye Guys Construction any time for any of my upcoming projects.
