Were to arrive between 8 and 10 am(have never had a two hour window before...that should have been my first clue). Got a call at 9:05 saying there was an issue with the truck, but they would be there within the hour. Called the person who called me at 1045 and 1100 and left a message with no return call. Called the main office in Hilliard and left a message, no return call. They did show up at 11:15. The problem was, they had driven from Cincinnati to cover this area and had arrived on good time at the place to pick up the truck, but there were no keys for the truck so someone had to bring them a key to the truck...so they were 3 hours later than they had anticipated. They were obviously upset and I understand that, but you don't take it out on the customer. They told me what had happened. I reviewed the job with them and they got to work. I shared with them the additional stop to exchange sofas, which they said they were not aware of and hooking up the washer and dryer, which they informed me they don't do. By this time I was very frustrated, but just needed to get the move done. I will say the men worked very hard and did all the things I asked of them. It started raining as they were unloading and, of course, had the day started as planned, that would have been avoided. I spoke with someone in the office on Monday(the person who left a volleyball game to run keys to movers..thank you) and was told Freida(my contact person would call me back that day and that everyone was aware of the mess the move had been). She called my on Tuesday after I sent an email expressing my displeasure(in a professional manner) at their horrible communication amongst themselves and with their clients. As of today, my last email is as follows: Thank you, I am so sorry for your disappointment with our company. My supervisor has been out of town. I did speak to my operations manager and he is going to have a meeting with the crew. I will be in touch once I get the results from them. Accounting is telling me there is a balance of 180.00 due on the move. How would you like to take care of this? .
Are you kidding me!!! I am all about paying my bills, this was over estimate, which I could deal with if your customer service was anything but horrible. It is not only the crew who needs to learn how to handle things when something goes wrong...let alone a lot of things go wrong. Customer service recovery is something the people at Bell Moving and Storage need to take classes on. I would never recommend this company to anyone, unless, of course, you like additional stress during a very stressful time.
"There are several untruthful comments made in this review. Unfortunately, some people set out to complain enough so they feel justified when they refuse to pay the total due. Restaurants experience this on a much more common basis than moving companies. The customer stated that the moving crew worked hard and efficiently. The final charges were less than estimated, yet she refused to pay and still has a substantial balance due. After serving thousands of customers, we know there are many types of consumers out there. It's no accident that more than 99% of Bell customers are highly satisfied."
"No surprises on moving day is what we want for our customers!"
"Our movers have a reputation for working quickly and efficiently!"
"Pleasing our customers during the difficult task of moving is our top priority. Glad to be of service!"
"Moving long distance is one of the top three most stressful events a person will endure in their lifetime. We don't take that lightly and make every attempt to help relieve as much of that stress as possible. When our customers feel we have gone above and beyond to make their move a great experience, let's just say we feel we've accomplished what we set out to do!"
"We take the proactive step to provide customers with a free, in-home quote prior to providing our moving services. This ensures that on moving day, we are prepared with the right-sized crew, truck, and proper equipment. Afterall, no one needs surprises on moving day."
They exceeded our expectations in every category. Excellent service from start to finish. They were friendly and provided prompt service at a very reasonable cost.
"Now this is the type of customer experience we love to hear about! Great service from start to finish and exceeding our customer's expectations. Music to our ears!"
"Because moving, especially long distance, is one of the most stressful events a person can endure, we make it our mission to help relieve some of that stress!"
"Turning difficult into great is one of our specialties. Glad to be of service!"
"Our moving teams are specifically trained to perform services quickly and without damage. Sounds like they're doing their job!"
"Small, cross-country moves that take place during the peak season of summer sometimes pose a challenge for our van lines' traffic department. Although it is very unlikely, on occasion during the extreme high demand months of June, July, and August, there are simply more moves than there are trucks. We deeply regret our van line experienced a peak-season delay in the delivery of this customer. If there would have been a quick solution, trust us - we'd have utilized it. Our hope is that the delay did not cause too great of an inconvenience and that all is well in the new home and city!"
