I left a message for them on Monday, 6/15/15 in the morning regarding a request for an estimate. I heard back from them by the afternoon of the same day. Mr Mathews stated that he could come out between Tues and Thurs and said the work was about a "week out" right now. I asked him to call before he came as I had many trees in my yard and wanted to talk to him. He called Wed morning and we met in the yard so that I could show him the specific trees and ask some questions. 
He was very nice about addressing my questions even though it was raining while we were outside. I asked if the trees could be cut low to the ground as I was trying to not have the extra expense of having to have the stumps ground. He assured me that they could be cut nearly flush with the ground. He said that his crew could probably cut the trees the very next day (Thurs) or Fri morning. He asked if it would be okay to mark the trees that needed to be cut with spray paint as I have many in my yard and he wanted to ensure that the crew knew exactly which ones. 
He called the next morning (Thurs) and said that the crew would be there within 30 to 45 minutes. They came during that time and very quickly and efficiently cut down two ornamental trees. They removed all the wood and raked and cleaned up the area when they were finished. They cut the trunks flush to the ground. I had asked for some of the smaller limbs to be cut to size to use in a wood grill and they were, with a reminder.
I appreciate how quickly Mr Mathews responded to my initial message (same day) and how soon he came to provide the estimate (just 2 days later). The work was then completed by Thursday, which was great... They took care of it quickly and cleaned up when they were done. Thanks. I will be using them again!!

Todd came out and gave us a quote and and their quote was the lowest by several hundred dollars.  Once we got on their schedule we did have to get moved around a few times but it was due to weather which was out of their control.  Todd kept in contact with me throughout the process and never left us hanging or wondering if/when they would be there to take the tree down.  They crew was fast and got the tree down, cut up, the stump removed, and the area all cleaned up in about 2 hours.  They took care to not damage the property and even put some top soil in the large dent the trunk made in the wet ground where it fell.  I just need to put some grass seed down!  At my request they even cut the trunk up in to smaller sizes so that we can keep the wood to burn in our fire place this winter.  We will need to rent a wood splitter, but it is cheaper than buying firewood!

I had a great experience with this company. Todd and his crew put in a long day. They started work about 10:00 AM and finished up about 7:00 PM. Stumps were ground down and everything cleaned up nicely. Todd is very professional. Great communication. Called the Friday before to let me know they would be starting Monday morning and then called Monday morning to let me know they would be starting a little late because of a storm cell that was passing through. I am very happy I used Mathew's tree service. I will call them again if I need any more trees cut down and will recommend them highly to my friends.

Todd has worked for us at least two times before. 
I called him about getting the 2 trees removed and he said he would call us on Wednesday. He called as promised and came over that morning and quoted us the price of $340. He said he and his crew could come back in about 2 hours and do the job.
They returned  as promised, and the four of them finished the job and cleaned everything up in about one hour. 
Todd and his employees are amazing. Very fine in evey way!

Called for an estimate on a Monday, they were out to my house by Thursday giving an estimate.  And work was done that following Monday.  
Three guys came out: one climbed the tree and cut down big branches while the other two dragged stuff to the street.  Were done in a bit over an hour.
Left the yard looking real nice.  Would've liked for them to cut down the stump a bit closer to the ground, but they said they didn't want to damage the fence it was near.
Overall, very pleased with how it all went.  Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Mr. Mathews returned my call within 30 minutes and was able
to give me an estimate on the phone per my description. Fortunate for us he and
his crew were close by and between jobs. They arrived within an hour and had
the job complete including a great clean up. Prompt, polite and courteous!

Excellent job!  Response to phone calls was timely, crew showed up on time, worked fast, and cleaned up ALL debris from jobs.  I am very satisfied and will use them again.

Todd was very quick with returning my call. His communication was top-notch, and he quoted me a price that was less than a third of one of his competitor's prices. He was even able to help me a week earlier than originally planned. I would definitely hire him again!

Service was outstanding.  I called only a week ago for an estimate.  Within a week, I had the estimate and all services performed.  The work was also very high quality.  Would recommend to anyone who needs tree service.

I still have my shed! And if the Mathews guys hadn't done a super job, the shed would be flat! The price was excellent, and Todd Mathews worked with me on that to my total satisfaction.  The cleanup was superb. The crew was careful of my garden. This is the second time I have had Mathews tree service here, and they've been great both times. I will definitely hire them again. I would recommend them to anybody else.

I would recommend this company for sure!   They were the first company to respond to my request for an estimate.   The estimate was lower than other estimates.   (In fact, it was almost 1/2 the price of one of the other company's listed on Angie's List.)   We scheduled a day.  They said expected poor weather might push out a day further.  It did and they called and confirmed.   They showed up the morning I expected, worked all day.   They cleaned up after themselves.   It couldn't have been better.

They were professional, on time, did a good job, and cleaned up before they left.  I have no complaints at all and I was very happy with the work that they did.
