I had a great experience with this company. Todd and his crew put in a long day. They started work about 10:00 AM and finished up about 7:00 PM. Stumps were ground down and everything cleaned up nicely. Todd is very professional. Great communication. Called the Friday before to let me know they would be starting Monday morning and then called Monday morning to let me know they would be starting a little late because of a storm cell that was passing through. I am very happy I used Mathew's tree service. I will call them again if I need any more trees cut down and will recommend them highly to my friends.

Todd has worked for us at least two times before. I called him about getting the 2 trees removed and he said he would call us on Wednesday. He called as promised and came over that morning and quoted us the price of $340. He said he and his crew could come back in about 2 hours and do the job. They returned as promised, and the four of them finished the job and cleaned everything up in about one hour. Todd and his employees are amazing. Very fine in evey way!

Called for an estimate on a Monday, they were out to my house by Thursday giving an estimate. And work was done that following Monday. Three guys came out: one climbed the tree and cut down big branches while the other two dragged stuff to the street. Were done in a bit over an hour. Left the yard looking real nice. Would've liked for them to cut down the stump a bit closer to the ground, but they said they didn't want to damage the fence it was near. Overall, very pleased with how it all went. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Mr. Mathews returned my call within 30 minutes and was able to give me an estimate on the phone per my description. Fortunate for us he and his crew were close by and between jobs. They arrived within an hour and had the job complete including a great clean up. Prompt, polite and courteous! Highly recommend to others

Todd was very quick with returning my call. His communication was top-notch, and he quoted me a price that was less than a third of one of his competitor's prices. He was even able to help me a week earlier than originally planned. I would definitely hire him again!

I still have my shed! And if the Mathews guys hadn't done a super job, the shed would be flat! The price was excellent, and Todd Mathews worked with me on that to my total satisfaction. The cleanup was superb. The crew was careful of my garden. This is the second time I have had Mathews tree service here, and they've been great both times. I will definitely hire them again. I would recommend this company for sure! They were the first company to respond to my request for an estimate. The estimate was lower than other estimates. (In fact, it was almost 1/2 the price of one of the other company's listed on Angie's List.) We scheduled a day. They said expected poor weather might push out a day further. It did and they called and confirmed. They showed up the morning I expected, worked all day. They cleaned up after themselves. It couldn't have been better.

They were professional, on time, did a good job, and cleaned up before they left. I have no complaints at all and I was very happy with the work that they did.

We had two trees blow over during a storm and decided to also have an additional stump taken out from a prior downed tree. Todd responded quickly and was able to schedule the estimate and work within a week. Job was done while we were at work - came home to the completed job and was completely satisfied with the results.

Todd Mathews came to my house the morning of 12/1/14 to give me an estimate for removing a LARGE Bradford Pear Tree. He quoted me a very fair price and told me that he could have a crew there in the afternoon of the same day. About an hour later he called and told me that they were on the way. A crew of three showed up as promised and cut down the tree. They also ground the stump and completely cleaned up and hauled away all the debris. It took them about 2 hours. I was very impressed with their efficiency and professionalism.

One of the best businesses I've ever worked with. Prompt, professional, hard-working, conscientious and competitively priced, they took down a huge tree in a pretty cramped space in short order and did a phenomenal job cleaning up the mess. We were very impressed with Todd and his crew and have no reservations about using them again if the need arises. Did a terrific job! Todd came out and gave and estimate the same day that I called him. He was easy to reach on the phone and showed up exactly when he said he would on the day of removal. This was a large job so we got a number of quotes and his was one of the lowest (by several thousand dollars in some cases!). He was very easy to work with and I would gladly hire him again.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with both the bid process and work completed. And will call again should I lose my two ash trees out back. I believe I called on a Tuesday and Todd came out the next day and provided a detailed estimate for everything we walked through. I called back Thursday to give the go ahead, and was scheduled for the next Tuesday. So just a week from my first call to start. A big reason I went with Todd is that he is equipped, and willing, to take on the whole job. Bucket truck, chipper, bobcat, large trunk grinder for trees (via a sub, I think), and smaller grinder for smaller trees and shrubs. So no need to call someone else to finish up loose ends. The school out back okayed bringing his equipment around back, so that helped a lot to bring equipment in close proximity to the work being done.. On arriving, Todd briefly walked his crew through what was to be done, and everyone pretty much knew what to do, and who does what, and quickly got to work. Todd gave me an on site add on estimate for removing the overhanging branches and dead limbs To his credit, Todd kept the estimate reasonable so we were able to quickly agree and move on. And so by end of day, I pretty much had everything done that needed done. Regarding cleanup, no complaints. The first rain in over a week had not helped. But crew spent considerable effort raking beds out and air blowing the lawn to fluff up grass bent over by the work. And tidied up the street out front as well. So as to not mislead anyone, we did have some collateral damage to the sprinkler system. Pretty much unavoidable, as it had not been installed correctly below grade, so some lines and heads got caught. Todd kept me informed every step of the way, and let me make the call whether to keep going on a spot or not. We also took out 4 shallow telephone lines, none of which are used anymore, so okay. Cable and internet must have been properly buried, as no problem there, thank goodness. So what's next? I have someone coming out tomorrow to piece the sprinklers back together. Then another to further hand work, level and seed three beds.. And then a lawn service to reseed the lawn twice over. All of which needs to be done quickly, to get the new lawn in yet this fall before winter. And that simply would not have happened without the efforts of Todd and his crew. If you have a big job, my impression is that this is a good company to use and, from my experience, highly recommended.

All the work was done while I was at work. They came in, removed the tree, cleaned up, and were gone before I got home. The tree was as tall as my house and very bushy. It was like the tree was never there. Not a leaf was left in the yard. Highly recommended.

A storm blew the medium size tree in our backyard down on Sunday evening. I submitted a request to Mathew's Tree Service on Sunday and had a reply back that evening setting up a time to provide an estimate the next day. He came out, provided the estimate, and scheduled removal for the next day. The crew showed up on time and had the tree down and cleaned up in under an hour. Except for where the stump was ground down, you would never know the tree ever existed in the backyard. I would definitely use this provider again.

The quotation was approximately a week after I called on a Friday. The work was performed that Monday. They arrived when they said they would and everyone worked hard. It took approximately 5 hours with a crew of 4. When they were done they cleaned the yard completely.

Perfect! Todd the owner promptly returned my call and set up a time frame to visit my property to provide an estimate. He called a few minutes before arrival, took his time listening to what I needed done and provided an estimate at the end of his visit. I accepted his price and his crew arrived the next day right on time and performed the job spot on. He operates on a basis of open discussion, absolute honesty and a handshake. He is a highly motivated businessman who truly wants his customers to be insanely happy with his services when done. He is fortunate to also have a hard working very polite crew. As a fellow businessman I appreciate all of these traits and would without hesitation recommend him to anyone needing tree removal services. A pleasure to do business with.

They arrived early and were able to start without me. Took out the two trees without damaging any of the house or electric wires. They ground the stumps and trimmed the bush/tree I had, I wish they did landscaping too because it needed some serious weeding around it. They used a cherry picker type truck to get to the large branches in the front. No damage to the roof as far as I know. He was very nice, I thought I had asked for more branches trimmed but I think it was with another quote, so his crew called him up and he came right back over. We looked at it and he said he would still take it down without raising the quote. I thought that was great. His crew worked very hard and efficiently, they cleaned all the debris up, so there is no evidence. The job looks great, what I wanted and he beat the other quotes. Well worth the money.

If you need tree services just stop and call Todd. You won't get a better bid and the quality his team brings just seals the deal. Professional, and went above and beyond what was requested based on Todd's onsite inspection and guidance . I had five different areas of limbs/trees that needed attention plus a forsythia bush that needed removed. All executed, clean and done. The right business for the right job.
