Our family-owned business is three generations old. We started in 1952 meeting the needs of homeowners that just weren’t being met. As times and demands have changed, so has our company. If the customer isn’t happy then we aren’t doing our job. No one understands that better than we do. We took the concept of warranties and turned it upside down. Cost is determined by the job. They came out when they said. Completed the work in a time. Our gas had been shut off by the gas company, so it was important that we found a company that would come out immediately. They were careful not to tear up existing landscaping and buried wires. However, when they came back to fill in the trench they were not as careful and broke the invisible fence wiring in the yard.

When moving our meter to the outside of our house, the gas company informed us that we had a gas leak inside the house. I called ABC Gas Repair early in the morning, and to my surprise they said a repairman would be there within one hour. He arrived as promised and gave me an estimate for the work. He found several small leaks, as well as one at the new meter outside (which the installing company took care of). The final bill was less than the estimate and we felt relieved that the gas leaks were remedied.

Mike, Ben and Jay did a wonderful job. Having an older house meant that the hook-up was not going to be easy. Old water line ran under my basement and through front yard. They were able to move everything to an easier access, requiring less digging through existing landscaping. They were very conscientious and helpful. Whole project took about 5 hrs., even after some delicate digging to avoid a buried electrical line for the city street lights. Waited about an hour for the city to approve, then they back-filled everything. They were even helpful in salvaging some large rocks for use in landscaping!

Columbia gas shut off our service on Monday afternoon. No warning, no nothing. They said it was part of the riser safety program. We had people coming over and no way to cook or get hot water. We freaked! Fortunately we discovered we had a gas line warranty as part of our home protection. Estimates I solicited on the phone put the repairs at $800. Our warranty is with ABC. We called and they arrived the next day. They had to dig up a flower bed to make the necessary repairs but they were careful, going so far as to replace flowers when they were finished. The area is obviously a little rough after the repair, but all landscaping was put back in original condition and all repairs passed inspection. I am very happy with ABC and would recommend them. I plan on renewing the warranty when it comes due.

It went well and I would definitely use ABC Gas Repair again. This is the one located at 707 South Front St, Columbus OH 43206. They were neat and after I told them to be careful of my gutter drain pipe they were. After the gas company came out to check their work and turn on the gas a person came the next day to fill in the holes. I ask him to save the sod and he did. They also offer insurance for gas line repair and outside water lines. $85/year for gas lines and $35/ year for water line. ABC said that to repair water lines outside is more expensive than replacing gas lines. Also gas man told me to not lose my bill because there is a discussion out that gas company may reimburse me even though I did not have insurance. I am asking Angie if I still need to pay for gas line insurance since I already had work done. They could have increased the bid because they had a big root to cut. Hope it did not kill my 30 foot spruce. I guess time will tell.

The gas company confirmed a leak in front of my house. Because I had a new homeowner warranty with ABC Gas Repair, I called them. ABC Gas came out early Mon. morning. I expressed my great concern for the 75 year old Maple in my front yard. He assured me that they would take great care not to damage the tree. I received a call telling me they were having trouble and would need a back hoe. I again expressed concern for the tree. I asked him again about my tree and he again assured me that the tree would be fine. When I arrived home from work, I was horrified to see what they had done to the tree. The roots had been hacked off on over 75% of the tree. I called the next day and spoke with Tim and asked if he could come look at it. He said no that would not happen. So the gas line was fixed promptly but the tree now has to come down. I have come to know that there is another commonly used method that should have been used that would not have damaged the roots.

THE TURNS PREVENTED US FROM PUSHING THE NEW PLASTIC PIPING ALL THE WAY TO YOUR HOUSE. OUR ONLY ALTERNATIVE WAS TO EXCAVATE THE BALANCE OF THE DISTANCE. IN DOING SO, WE WERE LIMITED IN WHERE WE COULD DIG BY THE LOCATION OF HARD LANDSCAPING (EG. PORCHES, WALKS, ETC.) WE WISH THERE HAD BEEN AN ALTERNATIVE. IN FACT, THE ADDITIONAL EXCAVATION REQUIRED RESULTED IN A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF EXPENSE THAT WAS NOT PASSED ALONG TO YOU. WE CERTAINLY TRIED TO AVOID THAT SITUATION. YOU NOTE THAT YOU HAVE NOT YET HAD YOUR TREE REMOVED SO IT IS OUR HOPE THAT YOUR TREE WILL SURVIVE. AGAIN, WE APOLOGIZE FOR NOT COMMUNICATING MORE EFFECTIVELY."

I arrived home late on a Saturday night and found a note that my gas had been turned off due to a leak. I called several companies the following day. Only two returned my call. ABC gas repair offered the quickest service. They were out on Monday morning, made the repair, and I had gas service restored that afternoon.

They came out the next day and found out that our Realtor has a contract with them to do the work free of charge. It was painless on our end and I didn't even need to meet them at the house or deal with the paperwork they left it for the gas company and all was taken care of.

I had smelled gas on the outside of my home near the meter. The Gas company identified the gas leak. I needed to have the repair completed quickly. ABC gave me a quote on the phone and came that afternoon to complete the repair.

I've used them before. They were priced much better than competitors - other two estimates came in at approximately $325.00 and $275.00. They were responsive, had the issue taken care of within 2 days, and I've had no complaints since.

Great! My call was handled very nicely, they came the very next morning and worked until done (mid-afternoon). They explained everything, discussed options, they even painted the outside piping to blend with my house exterior. Excellent experience and I would definitely recommend them. This is a long-existing family business. I felt I can trust them, as well as they clearly know their work.

ABC Gas Repair is a very professional and knowledgeable company. They completed the job that J. A. Myers Co. said would cost over $350.00 for $76.00. ABC Gas Repair is a very honest company, and I highly recommend them for their promptness and quality of work.

I called on Monday and ABC Repair came out the next day. They repaired the meter and checked inside the house as well. They are certified by the US DOT so Columbia Gas recognizes ABC's work. He was very nice. would recommend them.

The technician came out the same day I called. We had two leaks, one in our range, another in the gas light outside. The technician was very courteous and knowledgeable. He was able to fix the range the same day. The gas light needed more work and additional supplies, and he was back within 2 days to replace the entire line. I was very pleased.

The company was very responsive to our call, one man gave us an estimate and after we accepted it, he had two additional men come to assist in the repair. All three were careful and considerate, important since they worked inside and outside. When the job was done they cleaned away all refuse, etc.

MARK WAS VERY PROMPT, MET SCHEDULED MEETING TIME. REPAIRS WERE MADE WITHIN TWO HOURS OF AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED. PRICE SEEMED REASONABLE ALTHOUGH ONLY GOT THE ONE QUOTE SINCE THE WORK NEEDED TO BE DONE QUICKLY.
