A-1 Concrete Leveling

How did WHAT go? Still waiting - also not crazy about an active business that forces everyone to leave a message. Hire some employees to answer calls and share the wealth is what I would recommend to the owner. Consider it money invested, not money spent. For every agent you loose - it really equates to a minimum of 5-7 deals per year. So this has a good probability to lose you guys 10-14 deals this year - just from these two realtors. Hate to imagine how many other deals have been dropped by the lack of response. This is highly unusual too as I have never had problems from this company.

A couple months after the work was done (we rarely go in the basement), we discovered major cracks and shifting in the basement walls underneath where the concrete had been poured. I called A1 on November 16th. A representative came to the house the next day, November 17, to see the damage. He took photos and videos to show the owner, who was out of town. I was told I would hear from someone after the owner returned. I did not receive a call. On December 6th I called the representative that came to the house. I was again told I would hear from the owner. Still no return call. On December 15th I called the main office and explained the scenario and asked for attention to the matter. December 16th I received a voice mail, the first communication initiated by them in 4 weeks, that their engineer had surgery the day before and would not get to the house until after the first of the year. I called back and expressed my frustration with the lack of communication and lengthy delays. I was not given any explanation as to why no one had called over the span of 4 weeks, no apology or even concession that this has been poor service. I was simply told the file had been tagged for after the first of the year.

It was done perfectly!

Not good, They put in new porch which cracked and they refused to replace. Porch also sank into ground, Other companies explained that it was not properly constructed with supports. and foundation, A-1 would schedule with me but never showed up. Once they leave the job and get paid they are done, I would not hire or recommend. There are better alternatives.

Work has not been done. House is under Contract. Waiting for results from Inspection.

On time, quick, professional, detailed report on system

The entire process went smoothly. I contacted their office. An Estimator called me within one business day to schedule an appointment. He was able to come out within 3 business days and give me an estimate. He was on-time, reviewed the work to be done, discussed some issues that could come up specific to our job, gave me a written quote, and told me next steps. Their office called the next day to schedule the work and was able to get us in the following week which was quicker than expected. The two man crew showed up in the time frame given, did a better job with the leveling than we hoped for, and cleaned up the work site completely. The whole job took about an hour. Because the asphalt drive had bulged where it met the concrete, there was some damage (about 3" by 5") to the asphalt when we repaired the concrete. However, the Estimator and the work crew discussed this with us before the work was done, and we expected it. We already had our asphalt work scheduled for after this work so repairs could be accommodated. An added bonus is that they guarantee the concrete leveling for 3 years. Overall a good experience.

A1 did a great job. Everyone I came in contact with from their company was polite, explained the process and answered any questions I had. They arrived when they were scheduled and competed the job nicely.

I contacted A-1 concrete leveling for an estimate. Chad arrived as scheduled to assess and estimate the work. He provided a verbal estimate and followed-up with a written estimate. Chad seemed quite knowledgeable about his business.. I ultimately used another company due to a lower estimate

Phillip and his team were FANTASTIC! He was great when he came to give me the quote, and then willing to do our back patio when he arrived and we asked him to add that on. He stayed late to add caulk around the entire patio (it was an extra charge that we paid for) and explained all services. He was patient and knowledgeable regarding how the concrete had to be leveled in order for water runoff etc. Both for the quote and for the work, he showed up promptly and both he and the other team member were great! We were able to save thousands of dollars by having our patio leveled and then to have Phillip do all the caulking was fantastic - the one full panel that had cracked he caulked over and all of the areas that between each block of concrete he completely caulked. The $4 a foot was worth it (although definitely not required as homeowners can certainly do it themselves). Additionally, they powerwashed the patio, our front steps and our walkway. The powerwashing alone made everything look amazing and then sealing in all his work to make sure everything was going to remain great. We are so happy with the work completed!

They never contacted me. It seems that if they are going to list with Angie's List, they should be responsive to members who contact them.

Scheduled appt. to have cracks in my foundation evaluated and possible estimate for repair. I forgot to right down the time and emailed Linda she emailed me right back to remind me. 

Ron took his time to take a look inside and out. He decided I really didn't need repair they were minor cracks and said I should just monitor them and call back if they get worse over time. Also offered me advice how to fill in the cracks myself.

Service provider showed up on the day they scheduled.  Leveled my entire sidewalk and cleaned up nicely when they finished.
The entire process took maybe an hour at best.

Excellent - sidewalk and step look great and they were very efficient, professional and friendly. Also, the person who calls for scheduling is outstanding. Very friendly and responsive.
