The staff at jakes garage are great. It costs a little more than some auto repair shops but you always know its done right the first time.

Over the course of about a year and a half I had a Jetta that was beginning to reach the end of its life. The engine light was always on. Each time I took it to them to fix it, there was always a reason that the engine light would still remain on. I spent about $4000+ on work between the exhaust, bad sensors, and engine falling off. I was beginning to become very suspicious of their prices when I took my Pontiac to them and cost me $400 to replace a window that was just unhinged. When I later got an estimate on a simple front brake replacement and received an $850 estimate, I decided it was time to finally leave.
They are very professional and punctual, but their price was not worth it. They never actually got the Jetta to a state that was practical. I wish they would've said it wasn't worth it from the get-go. I don't want to say they were clearly trying to create work where there shouldn't have been, but I think they could tell the car wasn't worth it.
