Sears Garage Doors

Sears workers were prompt, called prior to arriving. Bryan and his partner explained what they were going to do, reviewed inspection notes, made additional recommendations. No pressure sales on recommendations. We professional, cleaned up after completing tasks. Had Bryan return to complete fixing/replacing rubberized strip. I feel that I received my monies worth.

I thought the price was good, and the technician was very knowledgeable with his repairs. He was on time, and very courteous. Overall he did a very good job.

The consultant Al came in on time and was very professional. He did the work in a timely manner. I did ask him to replace the lightbulb that was not working while he was here but, he was not able to because he did not have the supply. He did tell me where to buy the lightbulb for my garage. The regular lightbulb I placed worked for only a week. Al did take the time to answer multiple questions I asked about maintenance of my garage. Over all a great service.

Very smooth without a hitch. This was preventative maintenance so I didn't expect any problems, but the crew was great to work with and the squeak in the garage is gone.

It went well. They did a very good job. Installed rubber on the bottom of my door to make it quieter.

SP is not able to perform services because the parts they have don't fit the garage door, they said the door is too old.

The tune-up went really well. They evaluated the door and added new plastic rollers. They were highly professional and I would recommend them. I would definitely say that the door is quieter.

The service tech argued about installing the keypad, and only completed it after I called the company to confirm that I purchased a keypad install. When he found that one of the springs was broken, he quoted me $475 to fix it. I got another estimate for $125. They never bothered to call me back, which is probably better for me. I would not recommend this company.

I guess I read the offer wrong. I thought it said $99 Garage Door Tune-up with either a roller replacement or a wireless keypad. I have had my garage door looked at in the past and usually the serviceman will grease the rollers, examine and/or retighten the main springs, adjust the downward travel of the door, put a light oil on the springs, etc. What I got was a $99 wireless keypad which I could have purchased for $36 from Home Depot and put up myself. Don't say Tune-up and just install a keypad. Bad Deal!

Everything went well and I love having the external keypad. For the keypad installation I would give an A grade but for the maintenance I would give a B grade, hence my overall grade of B. It was not as thorough a maintenance as I've had from other providers in the past and the door was not as quiet afterwards as it's been in the past. All he did was to spray Wd-40 on the moving parts, and suggested I could do the same myself.

Spoke with Sean to make the appointment. He was very pleasant to speak with. Dave was the technician that came to the house to perform the services. He was on-time and called shortly prior to arrival. Dave performed the work in a timely manner and answered all of my questions. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and I WILL be using them again for my future garage door needs. I would like to thank them for making my garage repairs easy and worry free. Thank you.

It is good with the service but that sears' guy told me that he will deduct the money I bought from Angie's list. He didn't do that. He still charge me the full price. The total price I spent was 1508.00.

Time from deal purchase to satisfactory job completion was minimal. The only comment I would make about the scheduling is that during the initial phone call, I said I preferred afternoons, then selected a day for the work. The scheduler told me they would call one day prior to schedule a time. I wasn't home the afternoon they called to schedule a time, and the message left on the recorder (at 3:45 pm) just said to call them back. I didn't get that message til that night when it was too late to call. If when the scheduler left that message, she knew they were coming at 9:30 in the morning (instead of afternoon as I had previously requested), she should have said so. I was dressed and ready to leave my house when I called the next morning and found out they were coming in the morning instead of afternoon. All's well that ends well, but it could have caused a problem.

This was an excellent purchase. The provider showed up on time and worked quickly and effectively. He was quickly able to replace the wheels on my garage door and also did a lot of work tightening and rebalancing the door panels. Our garage door is significantly quieter and smoother on open and close. Most importantly in my opinion, the provider made no attempts to "up-sell" me on products. There was no pitch, no pressure, nothing but a good and workmanlike manner. I would certainly rehire Sears if I needed additional work in the future.

So far it's pretty good. However, he wasn't able to diagnose an intermittent problem with the door not staying down.

It was great. There were no extra charges. They were great and they were helpful. It took me calling Angie's List to get their company to follow-up. I think it was twice but I had to call to get them to actually schedule the appointment. The person that they sent out was extremely helpful and nice. He was prompt as well. I would probably not use them given how hard it was to get them to follow-up. The person they sent out was fantastic. There's no guarantee that I would get them.
