The provider arrived really late but he fixed the leak really quickly and gave me a discount for being late.

The plumber did the work neatly and efficiently. He explained why a special hose was needed for our situation, and he explained the pricing clearly. He was friendly and had a professional manner. We would hire Mayer again.

Performed work as requested. While finishing up John found an item that shouldn"t have been where he found it, he removed item and made me aware of it. Good job, clean up work area.

They are reliable and on time. They also clean up after themselves. I have used this company for years.

The plumber arrived right on time. He was courteous and knowledgable. He worked on the drain and unclogged it. The service was satisfactory, and the drain worked. Here is why I wouldn't use them again... It had rained outside, and I had just spent the morning cleaning my floors. The plumber came in, walked up my stairs, and all through my upstairs with mud on his shoes. All other service men that I have brought in have used shoe covers. Not only that, but the bathroom rugs were not put back, there were paint chips on the floor where he had to enter a wall, and the tub was not rinsed. I am not a clean freak, I just expect someone to clean up after themselves. I spent the rest of the morning cleaning up after him.

These guys are very professional and were in and out within 15 minutes.

The plumber that came to our house was professional, considerate and was sure to clean up after finishing a pretty dirty job. Two bathroom sinks were very clogged and he cleared them with a fair amount of work.

Contacted Mayer Plumbing about a slow drain, I had a Big Deal coupon, they came out the same day. After some investigation discovered my problem was near the street. I had the city come out and clean the main out to the street. That's when we found I have some odd plumbing and needed a separate drain cleaned. I called Mayer back and they came out the next morning and cleaned out the other sewer/drain. Very fast response, with professional service!!

Bought AL coupon for $90 services for $40. Expected to have kitchen faucet swapped with new one that I had purchased, assuming $90 covered about an hour's work. Plumber arrived on time and told me that the price for installing customer supplied faucet was $279, and that I would owe $189 plus minor parts after coupon. Price seemed way out-of-line to me; so I had him replace a toilet valve, price was $179, which also seemed very high to me. Since I had the valve he reduced price to $164. I also had him put a shut-off valve on toilet line; and discovered a rusty nipple, which he also replaced. He did a very nice job and cleaned up well. No complaints about the work or his professionalism. I probably would not use him again because his prices seemed way too high.

A positive experience from start to finish. The owner came out to give me an estimate for a new vanity and sink. This property is a rental and met with the tenant to obtain the information. They followed up promptly after, with an estimate sent via email. They worked around my schedule. The two plumbers they sent were professional and very efficient. They removed the old unit, checked for leaks and went above and beyond to ensure everything was resolved. I do plan on using them again in the future.

We discovered that our hot water tank was leaking around 8:00 pm on Friday and called Mayer who had installed it in 1993(!!) The answering service took our information and said that an on-call person would call us immediately since we had an emergency situation. Mayer returned our call very quickly and arranged to have a serviceman come to our house to inspect the tank and determine whether repair or replacement was in order. Brian and his apprentice Brad arrived within the half hour window we were given (they were working on another emergency when we called with ours). We explained the problem to Brian who said it sounded like the valves were bad but the tank might be OK. He said once he repaired the valves he'd inspect the tank to see if it indeed needed replacing ( i.e., he wasn't going to say the tank needed to be replaced just to get the sale: "I have to be able to sleep at night," he said). With Brad's assistance, Brian replaced the valves, stopping the leak on the top of the tank. He then inspected the bottom which was obviously leaking though ever so slightly. The verdict? We needed a new tank. Replacing the tank Friday night would have incured a "premium charge" ( i.e., double the regular cost of parts and service) as opposed to waiting to replace it on Saturday at regular rates. Since it was not imperative or dangerous to wait until the next morning, we decided we could manage 12 hours or so without hot water and made arrangements for Brian and Brad to return the next morning at 10:00 to replace the hot water heater. The men showed up promptly at 10:00 after a call from Mayer saying they were on their way. The installation of the new heater went without a hitch taking between 2 and 2 1/2 hours. There was no "hard sell" in terms of the warranty (we purchased a mid-range one) and they left the area in which they worked as clean as when they started. Both men were very professional and courteous. It was a pleasure to have them working in our home. Our satisfaction with and trust in Mayer Plumbing continues!

Mayer's showed up exactly on time. He was very neat and didn't mind my watching while he cleaned out the drain. The process took less than 30 minutes. He also took a look at another issue in the house and gave a rough estimate. Their equipment and van were neat and appeared to be in good order. It's just another criteria I use - if a contractor shows up in a beat up vehicle, with a mess inside - I'm not hiring them.

I purchased a coupon for $40 for $90 worth of work. They fixed the sink, but said they could not fix the toilet. They said I needed a new toilet. Their price was very expensive

I did not purchase a faucet ahead of time, so i purchased one he had on his truck. He took out the old one and replaced it with the new one. It did not take him lone. He was good and knew just what he was doing. A very nice young man.

I'm sure that it was frustrating for the plumber that the stuck nut was so hard to remove but he stayed at it until it was done. It probably took two hours longer than anticipated but he did not rush off or ask to reshedule. I would certainly use them again.

Our plumber did a great job; he quickly identified the problem and came up with a very low hassle solution. We were worried there would be a larger problem, but he was able to explain to us what was causing our blockage and how to avoid it in the future. Great service, would use again.

Service person was experienced, professional, and polite. He examined the problem, gave details of repairs needed, and performed the work w/o difficulty.

It was a wonderful experience. I felt at ease immediately upon their entry into my home. Cliff introduced himself and the associate who was assisting him. We headed to the basement where I showed them the work that I called to have done. My duct work/venting of my dryer had completely collapsed, as it is an elaborate system that runs up part of a wall and out the side of the house. It was impossible for me to repair on my own, and needed to be done in a manner which prevented it from occurring again. They explained what they were going to do, and then told me what they were also doing to prevent the problem in the future. They even took a look at an upcoming project in which I wanted some ideas about a remodel of my bathroom.

John explained that they would first work with a 25 foot snake. If that didn't work, he had a 50 foot snake. Of course, we had removed all the millions of things that get stored under the sink. John went out to get a drop cloth, took inner part of sink apart, and began snaking. He said he would hear when there was success. He had it cleared with the 25 foot snake. His work was most competent and he was very neat. Then, after putting everything back together, he ran water a long time (in both sinks) and then went down into basement to be sure that the stationery tub water went down. He was most pleasant. At first when he came in and I saw how young he was, I was a bit concerned that he might not be able to do the work. I assure you, he definitely knew how to do the work and was genuinely concerned that all parts of the repair went perfectly. A gentleman and professional plumber and educator. Mayer Plumbing can be quite proud of that young man

They actually did two jobs for us. They did a plumbing job when they had the plumbing special, and then they just came back and put in a hot water tank. I guess it was done a week ago. They did the job at a reasonable price. My husband really liked them. Two people came in, they were fast and efficient. They were very thorough. My husband was really happy with their service and with the quality of the tank.

The individual was very professional and did a great job.

It was a very good experience. Would recommend them highly as an expert.

It went well, except more work had to be done and more cost. However, it was completed and things work well now.
