Serviceman was very polite and knew his stuff about plumbing. For what I thought was two very minor jobs (see above) $307.00 seemed very stiff a price. I bought a $90 off coupon from Angie's List for $50 so the amount I owed was $217. But counting the $50 I paid for the coupon my final cost was $267. That is WAY too costly for what was done. I'm retired on a small pension with major health problems (stroke, lymphoma cancer, bone marrow transplant, kidney failure do to cancer chemo before bone marrow transplant and now three times a week dialysis for kidney failure) I can't afford to pay too much for repair services. They were recommended by my mother who used them often. But they're too expensive for me to use again.

They did great. They discovered that I had some roots in my sink and they talked to me about having a video snake down there to find out what is going on with the pipes in there. They took care of it and it has been fine ever since. The service was done within a few weeks after I purchased the deal when I had to call them because my kitchen sink was clogged and there were no extra charges.

It went well. I liked the response and their attitude, and their knowledge. Being the discount that I had with discount advertising I thought the price was very good.

Obtaining estimate and scheduling work was handled very professionally, above the typical standard for a residential service company. The plumber was a bit late, but less than an hour. Some neighbors had similar work done for a couple hundred dollars less, but I ran out of time to collect estimates and was most impressed with the professionalism of Mayer, so I went with them. Price is ok, but not great. The finished result looks a bit rougher than I would have liked. The patched concrete has a small mound rather than being level with the rest of the basement floor, and the edges of the patch were not smoothly feathered into the existing concrete. The plumbing work itself seemed to be done ok.

We had called because the softener was overflowing some, and we were concerned. We also had the new sink and tub hardware (which we had purchased ourselves), and wanted them installed. The plumber was prompt and friendly. When he arrived, he looked the situation over, assessed the existing plumbing, and explained -- and showed -- us why it was necessary to replace the valves and pipes that he did. So it ended up being more of a job than we had anticipated, but clearly nothing was unneeded, and, to his credit, he did try to save us money when he felt it wouldn't compromise the work. Note: While he did install the sink and bath hardware we had purchased, he pointed out that had we let Mayer provide the hardware (he said they recommend Moen), while it would have likely been more expensive, their workmanship on that hardware would be guaranteed as well. As it is, should the sink or shower begin to leak or to pit, the replacement parts are guaranteed by Delta, but we would have to hire a plumber to install them. So far, so good, though.

The plumber melted the vinyl siding around the outside faucet in the front of our house. He had to replace the vinyl finishing plate around the faucet. He took time to run to a store to purchase it and then replaced it with a white finishing plate when our siding is beige and all the other finishing plates are beige. While replacing the faucet on our stationary tub he was cutting one pipe and ended up cutting it too far back. The plumber was here 5 hours. Everything works great now, but we were afraid to let him touch anything else.

Representative arrived on time, described the service he would be performing and stated the charges before proceeding. He confirmed that the Angie's list coupon would cover the charges for the service and completed the work quickly and professionally. Representative was also kind enough to clean up before leaving and cordially thanked me for my business. I have used them twice now and would recommend them to others in our area.

The labor charge was $59 and minimal labor was another $59 and they took out the $90 so it was $28 extra. He did the job okay, nothing stood out. It has been working since he replaced that. I might would use them again if I get a better deal.

Unfortunately, the serviceman wasn't able to replace the fixture as the one I purchased didn't fit the sink. Aside from this, everything went well. The serviceman was very professional and helpful, and he provided good advice on several issues which I appreciated.

I was having issues with the downstairs toilet backing up and sometimes coming back up through the bathtub. Mayer's plumbing came out pulled the toilet, snaked the pipes and sent in a camera to find the issue. The drain line from storm connection was broken as well as the way the pipe was set up, it was a sharp turn into the main sewer system causing water to come back up the pipe into house. They fixed by replacing the broken pipe, re-piping the storm connection for combination sewer, removing and reinstalling the fence and fence post. They added seed and straw to area. They also installed a 4" check valve for future needs. If any issues come up, I can have the snake and cameras entered thru there instead of pulling the toilet again. The workers were professional and clean. They did not leave any mess behind.

He did a good job but the service was expensive. I had a toilet that was not flushing correctly and he was unable to fix it. HE said we would have to replace the toilet.

There was some confusion from the beginning. I purchased a $40 for $90 coupon from Angie's List. Then I received an e-mail from Angie's List that the contractor would contact me within two business days. I did not get an e-mail from the contractor. When I called the contractor, a woman who answered the phone told me that they don't contact customers via e-mail. Hiccup number one. My appointment window was from 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. I should have told the woman I spoke with that I work so the company personnel would understand that I only have that window of time. Hiccup number two and I will take responsibility for that one. At noon, I received a call from the contractor that they were running late. So I called my boss to get the approval to stay at the house for the plumber. An estimator came out at 1:00 p.m. and told me the total amount of $179.00. Thank God I had an Angie's List coupon that saved me $90.00. The estimator was professional and very nice and so I was grateful for the coupon and the estimator. Two younger gentlemen arrived at 2:30 p.m. and fixed the drain pipe quickly. I am grateful for that as well. I checked No that I would not use this provider, but I am on the fence if I would use them again. The people I worked with directly were nice, but the whole time issue is bothersome because I don't like missing work.

I purchased whatever it was for $90 off. I ended up buying a $894, it ended up costing me to put a water filter system in my home. Everything was fine with them. They did a good job. I have no complaints. They were polite and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves. I felt that the technician was being truthful to me. Price-wise, it was a little more than I intended to spend but in the long run, I'm actually glad that I did it and I have a house water system. I felt for the size of my house, it was a little more pricey than it should have been.

A valve was leaking after having a new water meter installed. The plumber tried to just tighten the nut which would be the more inexpensive way to go. With the age of the plumbing (45 yrs?), a new valve was the only solve. Even thought the valve was almost hidden behind the water heater, the plumber persevered and made the replacement. He also made sure the shut-off valve was positioned to make it easier to reach/use.

The work seemed expensive given that he completed it very fast, but I understand materials cost a lot. Looks great and no longer leaks, and the plumber was courteous and clean.

It went very well. John and Jessie were very professional and personable. John checked out what the problem was and gave me an estimate of what had to be done and gave me an estimate on the cost. They changed out the old parts and put in the new ones. They cleaned up the around where they were working so I didn't have to clean the area. After they were finished John showed me that there was a crack on the base of the toilet and gave me an estimate on a new toilet, all in all I was very pleased with both John and Jessie and the work they did. I will call and ask for them the next time I need any plumbing problems.

The service turned out very well. I ended up paying more than the big deal amount. That was because they found that the problem I was having went beyond the initial drain issue. They were very professional and gave me a thorough explanation of what my problem was and how to correct it.

2I called Mayer plumbing to repair a leaky pipe in my basement. They arrived promptly within their scheduled time. After assessing the situation, they informed me that since it was late in the day they would quote me a price to repair the pipe, and come back the next day to do the job. Mayer arrived the next day as promised and fixed the problem (so I thought). I noticed several days later that the pipe was still leaking, so I called them to come back and look at the pipe again. They arrived when they said they would but were very rude to the point that my wife refused to talk to them. They spent some time in the basement, and came up and said that the problem was fixed. My pipe is still leaking.

Company came out the same day I called which was great. While they couldn't finish the job that day (the service person was very willing to stay but I had to leave) they returned the next day and took care of business. I gave then an "N/A" for price because I have no idea if they were expensive, reasonable or cheap. You really don't try and get bids before having someone over, right ? I'm guessing it's reasonable but wouldn't swear to it. What I would swear to is that the two guys who performed the work were extremely professional, and I would welcome either of them back for other work. I recommend Mayer Plumbing very highly.

Job was done professionally and in 15 mins. Plumber (cliss) was professional and curteous. Job was mode well and in 15 mins. When I called to schedule the lady took down my details, set up an appt and transferred me to the owner Jason. I explained the problem and mentioned about the 2 deals that we on Angie's list. One was for 40$ for 90$ of plumbing labor and another was 79$ for drain cleaning. Jason told me it was best to have the guy come out and do the job and used the coupon that was most appropriate. They would honor the Angie's list deal price as I was member. Cliss came out said there was a 59$ visit charge regardless. I paid the 138$ as I needed it done and he was there. But the fine print in the 79$ deal does not mention a visit charge. I look at other reviews and people have mentioned the 79$ for the drain cleaning. I spoke to cliss and the scheduling lady. The owner Jason was supposed to call me back and never did to sort this out. The check has been cashed. Deceptive bait and switch and not responsive to my phone calls. I will not use them again.
