Cliff came out initially on 11/20/13 to clear the backup in the utility floor drain. After snacking the drain and checking the water flow, it seemed to have resolved the problem. Unfortunately, the next evening the drain was blocked up again. Cliff came out again on 11/22 but found that the backup was actually in the main sewer drain and recommended that I call the city and have them come out, which I will do today. Cliff was very professional and knowledgeable and even took a personal call from me on his cell phone after the job was complete to answer additional questions. I would not hesitate to use Mayer Plumbing and Heating again in the future. They worked us into their schedule twice in the same week and were priced fairly.

At first it seemed OK. My wife was there and the guy was nice to my wife. He got the thing unclogged and it worked. We noticed on Friday night when my wife started doing dishes that it was clogging up again. On Tuesday my wife called them and they said they would send someone out on Wednesday night. They guy comes out and immediately says "we're not responsible for what you put down the drain". The guy just continued to further explain that I only paid $79.00 for something that would normally cost $200. So apparently you get less service because I had a coupon. I called to speak to the owner a little while ago and asked him to call me back within the past half hour and he hasn't given me a call back.

Arrived on time at 9 AM. Turned off water, toke faucet apart on hot water side. Replaced washer, loosened up handle, installed plumbers goop, reinstalled faucet tightening properly. Job finished, no leak and a 30 day warranty. He was done in 45 minutes. Was happy with the plumber and would use them again in the future.

I thought the $40 was for the entire service and then I ended up paying another $118. I know there were parts used but they were small so I wasn't quite sure what the $40 meant. They replaced the ball cog in the back of the toilet and replaced the chain that had come off. Maybe I just misunderstood but I thought $40 was going to be the entire labor and then they would charge me extra for any parts and I know those two parts didn't come to $118 so I am not sure what happened.

I was very pleased with the service performed, the workers were polite, explained what they were doing and cleaned up the work area before they left. I was able to get an appointment quickly, however they were running very late on the scheduled day, and did not arrive until 4 to 5 hours after the scheduled hour. It ended up being after nine at night. I was grateful that they agreed to do the work despite the late hour, as I had been unable to use my sink. I used an Angie's List special deal coupon, which was honored. On the company's website, they advertised a reduction in the amount of the bill if they were late for any reason, but they did not give me the discount for that. Still, I would use this company again.

A couple of plumbers came out to investigate way the water heater wasn't working. So, they cleaned the water heater out of dust and dirt thinking that was the problem. Once we found that it didn't resolve the issue, they had gotten someone else more familiar with the make and model. It was determined that the thermo coupling needed to be replaced (which I had mentioned before). During the second visit, I had also mentioned that I needed my bath tub faucets stems replaced. The third guy (that was called to assess the situation with the water heater) quickly jumped to the task to see what could be done. He was able to take a quick look at the knobs and determined that he could do the job. I had someone out before and they didn't want to touch it, because of its age and suggested that I replace the whole unit (knobs and shower unit). The unit would have been twice as much to fix, and then I would have to employ someone come out to replace the wall.

Repairmen were efficient and helpful

We had a clog in our double sink in the main bathroom. Technicial was on time and had the problem fixed within 1/2 hour. Price was half of what we were quoted by another service. We would definately use them again if needed.

I received a written estimate for a gas meter job and a company card to reach them at. I agreed to the job and the tech said he would call me to schedule a date to do the work. I didn't hear from them for 3 days, so I called them. I was told by the female receptionist that she would forward my name and number and someone would get back to me. Nobody called me back for another 3 days, so I called once again. The girl said the same thing to me but added that they were very busy. I waited a week this time and still no return phone call. I called again and asked the girl why nobody is calling me back. She didn't have an answer. I asked for the tech's cell phone number so I could speak to him myself, but she said that they weren't permitted to give that out. She then told me that she would call him as soon as I hung up with her and that she would call me right back with a better answer. That never happened. I called again the following day and asked her why she never called me back ? She said that their "system went down" and her shift was over by the time they came back up... I asked to speak to the owner and she said he isn't in and he very rarely comes in. At this point I could tell that they were trying to avoid my business. Maybe the written estimate wasn't to the owner's satisfaction and this "wild goose chase" was the only way they could get out of it. Here's something that I noticed after all this: I've used them in the past when they were advertised as J.C. Mayer Plumbing and I was a satisfied customer. Now I see that they are just using Mayer Plumbing and Heating. Maybe this has something to do with the poor customer service that they recently provided to me.

We purchased a big deal for the service, and it worked out all right. They weren't able to help me. They came out to try and fix the problem, but it didn't work. The drain was too clogged from my contractor, and so I had to get someone else come out and do it. Their price was too expensive and so I got someone else do it. They had a drain in the other room, and they said they would drill a hole and go through it for 200 Dollars, while these people just wanted to rip out my whole floor for 2000 Dollars.

They were great! Very nice, very thorough! He (Cliff) looked at every possibility to unplug the drain. It is an old tub and he had a lot of trouble getting the cover off the overflow drain. He gave me a price for snaking the drain if all went well and he gave me a price for the worse case scenario - if he couldn't get the cover off, we might need to replace the overflow drain assembly. Both prices were very reasonable. I will DEFINITELY be using Mayer Plumbing again.

I work 70 hours per week myself and am often up at 4:30 in the morning. I administrate the Operating Rooms at a very large metropolitan hospital. So having to schedule an early appointment on the weekend is hard for me. I normally do not hire contractors who cannot provide evening services. This vendor had Saturday hours. With my work schedule I always have very busy weekends squeezing in all the activities of daily living that most people do during the week- so reliability and punctuality are key. This appointment has been scheduled for weeks- no one showed up or called until after 11 am. I was called at 11:08 saying "the tech is on his way" - not possible for me as I had a music lesson scheduled I am requesting a refund. I would not recommend this company if you want punctuality and the courtesy of at least a phone call if they are going to be late

Came installed my replacement water purifier. Said to watch it for a few hours as it was tight when they left. But after two hours I did dishes and the cold water line was leaking. Called them and they returned promptly saw the problem and replaced the tap on the copper pipe feeding the water purifier with a dual tap connector. Everything fixed to my satisfaction.

Minor mix up with the address, but that was soon resolved. They were quick and efficient.

The service man was on time, professional and the price was reasonable. We would call him again.

The services went fine, the drain drains well now. The price was kind of high though.

Did the work satisfactorily but the cost was extremely high !!! even after purchasing a $50 coupon deal from Angies list.

They were really quick; they got in and got out. They were also very responsive; she made an appointment for the next week and we were having a wedding and I needed to have it done quicker, and they came quicker. They fit me in so that I could get the drain cleaned.

I contacted Mayer Plumbing by purchasing a special offer over the weekend on Angie's list. Monday morning I had an Email offering me an appt for service Tuesday or Wednesday. I selected Tuesday and received a confirmation for Tuesday morning between 9 and 11am almost immediately. Tuesday morning Brian R. from Mayer was here at 9:15AM. He was very polite and professional, He assessed the problems, gave me a written estimate and had the work completed and the area cleaned up behind him in less than 2 hrs. He is the type of service person you always hope will show up when you schedule work to be done. I was extremely happy with the entire process.

timely, neat, honest he could not get a outside faucet at a reasonable price. He drove to store for fixtures and found quality fixture for under 60.00

Called them on a Tuesday and they were out by Thursday to do the work. The only complaint I had was that they were a bit late. I guess they got held up in traffic. That happens. Beyond that they were super professional and did only what was needed and that would help my situation. I felt very confident in their work. Now it was done today so it is always possible things will fall apart, but the transaction so far has been very good. I would recommend them to others and use them again myself.

I had a problem with my garbage disposal, they came and fix it withing 20 min... I worried about it for 3 weeks wish I had called sooner...

They cleaned from the street and into my house and used the camera to see if any other issues remained. They said their equipment could not really get all of the roots out, but it was all on the city's side. They said the city would clean that for me at no cost. That is what happened. The city came out the next day and finished the cleaning. All is well. This is one of the first times I have used a plumber and felt like I was treated fairly and honestly. I did not feel like this deal was a "come on" to get more business. Thank you Mayer Plumbing. I will call you in the future if I need to.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List. There was a little confusion at first, like their office person was not aware of the coupon. So I then ended up turning around to get a refund but the manager actually called me and apologized, and said that that was a new person and there was some confusion and that they would certainly honor it. So, it worked out in the end. I ended up paying more than the big deal, because I had some extra stuff done.
