Holland Paving has been serving the private sector for 40 years. We provide asphalt work for residential, commercial, and industrial facilities in Northeast Ohio. Services include: Asphalt installation, repair and maintenance - Storm drain installation and repair, concrete and all parking lot services. We are licensed, bonded and insured. (Workman's Compensation Certificates available upon request). 50 seasonal Employees. Estimates are free!

Someone from Holland Paving came out the same day I called to give me an estimate. Once I submitted my signed contract, they called me back within a day or so to schedule the work. The workmen showed up about an hour later than scheduled but once they got here, their work was done quickly, professionally and neatly.

Holland Paving did an excellent job installing our 3000-square foot driveway last September and we asked them to come back and do the sealing. After getting a quote and returning it with a 50% deposit, they called us to schedule a date (weather-permitting). It was clear and hot and the three-man crew arrived on time and spent just over an hour, carefully cleaning leaves and pine needles off the drive before thoroughly coating it (meaning I didn't have to spend time sweeping). As usual, an efficient and professional job for our third interaction with them (the first was in '05 when they layed an aggregate base, the second in '06 doing the paving).

There were no hassles whatsoever. Everything was done as said. Everything was done professionally. Everything was done in a neat and clean fashion. Tom was on time for every appointment. Work dates were kept. There were no surprises or additional charges that popped up. As a matter of fact his price was excellent. He was always respectful and polite as was his crew. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish and I highly recommend Holland Paving. You won't be disappointed when you let Holland Paving do whatever asphalt work you need. Thanks Angie's list for finding me a great contractor!

I was not very happy with them at all. I had it done a couple of times. The price was alright, but our shoes seemed to stick to it. When I called and told them, they said there wasn't anything they could do about it. They did try hard though.

"THE GOAL OF HOLLAND PAVING IS TO SATISFY EVERY CUSTOMER. THIS MEMBER CONTRACTED US TO APPLY CRACKFILLER AND SEALCOAT TO HER DRIVEWAY ON 6/15/05. CONCERNS ABOUT THE FLEXABILITY OF THE CRACKFILLER WAS BROUGHT UP LAST YEAR AND WE RESPONDED BY APPLYING ADDITIONAL SAND AND GIVING HER A DISCOUNT. WE EXPLAINED THE NATURE OF RUBBERIZED CRACKFILLER AND ITS FLEXABILITY IN WARM WEATHER. WE THOUGHT HER CONCERNS WERE ADDRESSED, UNTIL LEARNING OF THIS NEGATIVE REPORT 364 DAYS LATER. WE CONTACTED HER AGAIN IN JUNE 2006, BUT SHE REFUSED ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE, BUT THANKED US FOR OUR KINDNESS. AS STATED BY THE CUSTOMER'S COMMENTS, THE PRICE WAS ALRIGHT AND THEN GAVE US AN F. ALSO, THE OVERALL GRADE WAS AN F, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD 3 B'S. THE REPORT WAS WRITTEN ONE YEAR AFTER WE DID THE WORK. HOLLAND PAVING WILL CONTINUE TO USE HOT RUBBERIZED CRACKFILLER, EVEN THOUGH IT IS MORE LABOR INTENSIVE AND COSTLY. WE HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT FOR MANY YEARS WITH EXCELLENT RESULTS. WE WILL ALSO INFORM THE CUSTOMER ABOUT THE NATURE OF THE MATERIAL PRIOR TO INSTALLATION."

The dig up and prep crew were personable, and very considerate. They arrived when they told me they would and explained everything they did. The paving crew was not as personable, but did an excellent job none the less.

THEY DID A DECENT JOB OVERALL. THE DRIVEWAY IS SMOOTH AND HAS A BETTER PITCH THAN BEFORE. COMMUNICATING WITH THEM WAS A CHALLENGE (GETTING THEM TO RETURN PHONE CALLS AND COMMITTING TO A START DATE). THEIR OFFICE STAFF COULD BE MORE ORGANIZED WHEN THE SALES GUYS ARE OUT IN THE FIELD. THEY COULD HAVE BEEN NEATER WITH RESPECT TO MY LAWN AND NEWER CONCRETE SIDEWALK AND APRON WHERE THEY LEFT ASPHALT DRIPPINGS AND CHUNKS. ONE OF MY LARGE SHRUBS LOOKS LIKE IT WAS BURNED FROM THE HEAT OF ONE OF THEIR PIECES OF EQUIPMENT, HOPEFULLY THE BRANCHES WILL SURVIVE. THE DRIVEWAY STILL NEEDS TO BE SEALCOATED FOR AN ADDITIONAL $150 AND I HAVEN'T DECIDED IF I WILL USE THEM FOR THAT.

I HAD TO CALL THE COMPANY TO GET THE WORK SCHEDULED AFTER POSTING DEPOSIT 4 MONTHS EARLIER. ONCE SCHEDULED THEY ARRIVED ON TIME, DID THE WORK EXPECTED, CLEANED UP AFTER. SO FAR SO GOOD.
