"I feel badly that Member had this negative experience with our company. We take pride in our fast and friendly service – a key reason for our success over the last 20+ years. We always seek to improve and to also deal with problems and errors when they occur. We are one of the few glass & mirror companies that schedule Saturday appointments. A couple of the issues with doing so are (1) The high number of customer cancellations that occur (both with and without notice) on that day, and, (2) Negative customer reaction when we ring their doorbell early on a Saturday morning without prior warning. Many years ago we instituted call-ahead procedures that increase our ability both to respond to, and to increase the satisfaction of, customers who need our service on the weekend. Our technicians call customers personally prior to traveling to the customer’s home to make sure that we are still in their plan and that they are ready for us to arrive. In Member's instance, our technician left a voicemail message at 9:00 am while he was heading to that area. By the time of Member's call back after noon, our technican was in a different area and engaged in a job for another customer that would not allow him to return. There is absoluely no excuse for poor phone etiquette on the part of our employee. We are dealing with this as a performance issue."
