"NO SERVICES PERFORMED: Thank you for the kind words on me being a nice guy and I enjoyed meeting with you. I felt that we had a plan on working through your unique situation. I was trying to work out an acceptable remedy to your situation which can take a few more days when dealing with the city. Our normal procedure to every homeowner is to provide an instant proposal however your situation was a little different. The reason we were not able to give an instant proposal is that your home would require a special variance from the City of Lakewood building department. If you would have only called, I would have let you know that I was still waiting on an answer which can take a while. Once I actually received the answer from the city, and was getting ready to call you, I noticed this review. I understand it was hot and believe me. I was not wasting your time. I spent a lot of time working on this and how we could do it up to standards without destroying your walls in the lower unit. We insist on doing a professional job and one that is totally up to city requirements. After speaking to an inspector the and getting the final requirements, they confirmed exactly what I had mentioned. Your home would require a cold air return system] installed even if it meant opening up a wall on the downstairs apartment. I know this is something you felt was impractical and I don't blame you. They are beautiful walls with character and I would hate to do it also. The reason it is required is because it's a 2 family home and the cross air flow of two air conditioning systems next to each other which will cause improper cooling and efficiency. I know there are some companies that will only hook up an air conditioner and let you deal with the side effects of an improper installation, however we are not one of those companies. The reason we maintain our perfect reviews from homeowners, that have actually had us complete work, is that we insist on a proper installations every time. "NO SERVICER PERFORMED: Wow where do I start? First of all, I have never met you. I provided a proposal to the previous owner of the home who must have gave you a copy after you bought the home. The price and terms of the proposal was with him and not you. He and I spoke and agreed to the terms and there was never any confusion. He said he would be paying for the system and as far as I am concerned, he is my customer. We are a Rheem system provider which an outstanding system however it is a little more costly than he wanted. He explained that he wanted the least expensive air conditioner available since he was selling the home in the near future. Later on, you called me at about 9:30PM and told me that you had bought the house and asked me what the model number was? Since I had never met you and had no idea who you were and what you were talking about, you caught me off guard. Even though it was 9:30PM at night and I was home with my kids, I still tried to help you. I did tell you that we are a Rheem dealer and I am very knowledgeable with the Rheem equipment however the system you were asking about is not a system that we normally install. I explained the what the size and SEER rating was and how to locate it online if you wanted to know more. In this review you have made so many untrue statements, it's actually funny. You stated that you called me two days after you got the proposal. Since I never sent you the proposal, you had no way of knowing that I had sent the it to the current homeowner long before that. When you called, and told me that you were the new owner and wanted to setup a time to install the system, I tried to accommodate you. I gave you a solid date that we would be able to install your system. but you insisted on arguing with me. I told you that the terms of being able to install within a week was with the previous owner and was no longer available. We were about two weeks out now and there was nothing I could do. I again gave you a solid date that I could install the system and that if we had a cancellation, I would let you know. I think your refusal to accept that and the continual arguing must have gotten you mixed up. You told me that you are now be responsible for a small portion of the installation cost which you provided it over the phone. If you were not acceptable those terms then why would you have gave me your payment? I received a call the next Monday from you, thinking that you had won the argument and that would be getting your system installed today. I looked on the schedule and told you that we had agreed on the following Monday and that if we had a cancellation, I would have let you known. Once again the arguing continued. To the point of sarcasm, you continued to say "Well I might be home next Monday if I have a cancellation". I called the previous owner who was my actual customer and explained the situation who kind of laughed and said "he is your headache now". At that point, I realized that the proposal that I have with the previous owner would not be beneficial to anyone. The previous owner was very flexible and understanding however you were not. I called you back and explained that we no longer wanted to do the work and I would immediately refund your portion. You then tried to intimidate me by threatening to leave a bad review on Angles List. Since no work was ever done, I'm sure and anyone reading this, will agree that our company, who has all positive reviews from ever member who has actually had work completed, know that this is not a valid review. I think that if we would have first met face to face and I was able to explain things and provide a proposal to you, like we do with every customer, you would have seen the value in working with our great company."

"Thank you for the great review! I'm glad that the issue when your system stopped cooling was a minor one. Not too sure how your circuit breaker inside the home got turned off a couple of weeks after installation however we fully understand that things do happen. We are just glad that by turning it back on, was the only thing needed. This is why we never charge for a repair on a system, that we installed, and is still under warranty. No matter what the issue is. It is not uncommon for us to return to a home only to find out that a child has turned off the power to the furnace or that the gas company had disconnected service to the home. The storefront offers have been a great source of value to the members and our company as well. It allows members to see upfront what they will be getting before purchasing. We did speak on the phone about the Rheem equipment however the offer that you actually purchased online was not the offer we were talking about. We have 2 similar offers: " $2,195 for a Rheem 95% High Efficient Gas Furnace w/ duct cleaning" and "$1,895 for a New 95% High Efficient Gas Furnace". As you can see both offers are extremely well priced! The Rheem offer is clearly stated on the very first header line and is in bold print. The offer you had purchased was the lower priced offer. I had hoped that by trying to modify an acceptable offer, before your system installation, you would feel more than satisfied. The additional $200 to get you back up to the Rheem equipment is strictly our cost for the better equipment and still less than the listed Rheem Storefront offer .We do whatever possible to make sure our customers are more than satisfied and become a customer for life.
