When we hired walpainters to remodel our only full bathroom, we were told by Shawn the project would take 7 business days maximum. Because it is our only full bathroom, our family made arrangements to stay with my parents during this renovation. The renovation ended up taking three weeks to complete - 15 business days, over twice the length of time that was promised to us. This was a large inconvenience to our family. During these 15 days, there were multiple days that absolutely no progress was made on the project - days in which Shawn did not even show up. We provided the required deposit for materials (thousands of dollars) over a week before the project started, and yet weeks into the remodel it became clear that some materials had not even been ordered yet. There were "problems with the light fixtures" about two weeks into the remodel, causing us to make a rush decision about an alternative fixture. Shawn also claimed to have to drive hours to get the requested tile for our shower (a simple white subway tile) and stated that as a reason for part of the delay. On day 13 of the renovation Shawn told us his wife was looking for the shelves that we had requested and picked out (and paid for) nearly a month earlier. Overall, the quality of the work is OK. Some of our tile that We kept in the bathroom was damaged by the renovation, but the bathroom looks nice. An incredibly frustrating process for our family though, and in hindsight I would pay significantly more for a contractor who is better organized (wallainters neglected to even acknowledge an email I sent on day 12 of the renovation to inquire when the project would be finished and to make sure no other supplies needed to be ordered causing a delay) and more professional.
