I had a very disappointing experience with Trummel Painting. I hired them to repaint a ceiling and one wall in a bedroom that had some minor water damage. I asked them to use Behr Marquee, which I had previously used for the same room and I like because it is so highly regarded, but mainly so that it would match. Trummerl Painting, however, was very insistent about using inferior Sherwin Williams (I know they get rewards from SW for using them, but still, why not let the customer purchase and use the paint of their choosing?). I agreed to let them use their preferred paint brand but only after their sales manager confirmed via email that it would be an exact match (I gave them the code to match the paint). Unfortunately, after they left it was clear there were major problems: the new and old paint did not match at all and they left lots of white ceiling paint and other debris all over the floor, both in the bedroom and in hallway. I contacted them about these issues and when they came back out they said the only way to fix the mismatch was to the repaint the entire room (duh). I asked them to cover the cost of doing it and offered to purchase the paint, but they would not. They claimed they told me from the beginning the paint colors might not match (despite the emails I had indicating otherwise). So, I had to pay them to paint an entire room. (They also made a halfhearted effort to clean up, which required me to find all the things they were neglecting, but dry paint on hardwood doesn't come up with soap and water, so I am stuck with paint stains on my floors.) Overall it was a frustrating experience and I will not use them again.
