SALEM DOOR CO

Have used Salem on a couple of occasions. They had installed 2 new garage doors back in 2008 and I've been very happy with them. Recently, I had trouble with the garage door opener/doors getting stuck. I called them on a Friday and had them out the following Monday. Guy I talked to even was giving some ideas to try myself if I wanted to save the service charge. I decided to have him come out anyway to make it sure it got fixed right. They came out and lubed everything up and made adjustments to get tight seals with the concrete and doors. They also adjusted sensitivity of garage door opener. They were in and out in about 20 minutes and had everything back functioning like new. Would use them again.

This was the only company in the area that carried our particular garage door opener.

They never called me. I left a message for the owner and he never called me. They are not accepting responsibility the problem.

Appointment was scheduled 1 week out on a Friday morning, I was told the company would call 2 hours ahead to confirm time the day of the appointment. They did not show in the morning as scheduled. I called to confirm that they were still coming- they said they would call back with a time for the evening. I waited all day- no return call or visit. We left a message on machine, we received no return call. On Monday, we called again, they said they would come that day and would call with a 2 hour window. They did not call or show for the second day in a row. This company is not reliable or professional- I would not recommend them to anyone. We have now been without the use of our garage door for over a week based on the word of unreliable and dishonest business tactics. We are taking our business elsewhere.

PROMPTLY GAVE ME A QUOTE OVER THE PHONE, AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT TO INSTALL WITHIN ONE WEEK. CALLED AHEAD OF TIME TO LET ME KNOW THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY. INSTALLED THE OPENERS EFFICIENTLY AND WENT OVER INSTRUCTIONS AND MAINTENANCE THOROUGHLY WITH ME, AT THE END OF INSTALLATION. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE, DUE TO THEIR GREAT RESPONSE AND PROMPTNESS. PRICE WAS WITHIN BALLPARK OF OTHER COMPANIES, BUT DECIDED ON SALEM DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY HAD ALSO INSTALLED THE GARAGE DOORS.
