We entered into a construction contract with Restoration Home Llc c/o Chuck on May 9, 2023. The work was never completed. We came to an agreement with our lawyers that we would be reimbursed $6300 of the $12,000 we gave him. He agreed to pay us on or before April 30, 2024. He failed to make any kind of payment by that date. We had to take him to civil court. We won a summary judgment of the $6300 plus interest, plus court cost. To this date, we have not received a dime. Do your homework when hiring a contractor. Look at Hamilton/Butler/Clermont county clerk of courts to see if a contractor has any judgments against them in Ohio.
