Very professional, had a lot of obstacles to over come to make them work in this old house and did it like it was no problem. The whole company was great from start to finish. Would use again and highly recommend this company.

The repairman (Sergiy I think was his name) showed up around 11:30 and after a quick inspection gave me 2 options. Replace just the spring for like $500 or replace the spring with a higher grade spring, the center bearing, and the pulleys for $600 something. Now, keep in mind this is including a $75 off coupon that I had. I figured what the heck, spend the extra $100 and get the other stuff replaced too and a better spring. I called my husband to let him know and he was surprised at the high price but I told him to go ahead and do the repair because I needed to get to work. Sergiy got the door open and began the repair. My husband then called back and said he spoke to 2 other garage door companies who told him they could replace the springs for under $300. Sergiy told him (not very politely) that we have a wooden frame door which is heavier and requires a higher guage spring and that the only way to get a true quote is to have a technician come out and look at it (fair), but he already started the job so we'd have to pay anyway. Sergiy finishes the work and the garage door opens (yay!) Then tells me that they usually take checks, to which I replied I'd rather pay with a card, and he tells me there is an additional 3% fee to pay with a card (ridiculous)! I paid, then signed the agreement on his tablet. He said I would get the receipt by e-mail in a few minutes. A few hours later I still hadn't received the receipt so I called and asked them to send it again. Upon reviewing the receipt, I was charged $469.97 for parts, $308.72 for labor and installation, and a discount of $164.99 (not sure where this number came from as I only had a $75 coupon, but I'm guessing there was a service call fee for $89.99 that came off because they went ahead and did the repair). The 3% fee was not broken out anywhere, but was noted at the bottom of the page that a "convenience fee" of 3.15% would be added to all non cash/check transactions. So, $613.70 total. I have now spoken to at least 4 people who have told me they paid between $200-$300 to have their springs and bearing replaced and they also had a wooden door like us. I feel like my situation was taken advantage of. Had I had any idea what a repair like this should have cost I never would have agreed to pay double! I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Initial installation was disappointing. Installer (Colton) was slightly outside the arrival window that was provided. He seemed to have the right information and concluded I should go with a new system (but he outlined the potential and risks of trying to repair my 20 year old system). I agreed to installation and had to leave before he could finish. I left a check and assumed it would all be taken care of. I returned to find the installer gone and my garage a mess. There were nuts, bolts, batteries, boxes and other debris all over my garage floor. He had left his test remotes. He left the button that was supposed to be mounted on the wall inside the garage hanging by a wire. I called him, thinking maybe he wasn't finished and he seemed annoyed. He agreed to come back the next morning and finish, but never showed or called. After 2 customer service calls, I finally spoke with Matt who was very helpful. He scheduled another appointment for that day to complete the job. Kendall arrived at 8pm (was supposed to be "after 4pm" on Friday) and quickly took care of business. Matt is supposed to issue a small rebate in compensation for my troubles. I like the way they dealt with the problem, but the initial work was so sloppy that I wouldn't use them again.

My garage doors spring broke around 11:30 on a Saturday. I found this company on Angie's list and they said the would be out early afternoon and call ahead when on the way. The guy was professional, explained everything. He went ahead and tightened up all parts of the garage door and lubricated everything while here. He went on to explain general garage door maintenance and what to look for to know there may be a need for maintenance. Overall was here about 35 minutes. The garage door is so much quieter now with just replaced springs.
I rated price a C because I have nothing to compare it to. It seemed reasonable.
I rated a B for punctuality because they said they would be over a little after 1:00, but it  ended up being 2:45. They did stress to not wait around because they would call 30 minutes or so ahead of time when on the way. They did call 30 minutes ahead of time like promised. I don't fault them much though because they provided service just a few hours after I called, just drops it from a A.

Exactly two months after another serviceman claimed to fix my garage door it came crashing down.  The cable broke and the door was hanging at an angle.  I thought I would need a new garage door.  Colten came to give me an estimate and examined the door.  He stated the door was repairable and he could fix it that evening.  The job proved to be more difficult than he initially thought.  He updated me on the process and explained he needed to get another service tech out to help him lift the door.  An hour later, Carl came to the rescue.  They spent over 3 hours working on the door and only charged me the original quote.  I really appreciate their honesty and integrity.

I had the garage door to my house not opening and searched Angie's list as to whom was offering coupons for garage door repairs. I came across a coupon for $89.00 service fee coupon and bought it off of Angie's List. Shortly thereafter, a young technician, came to my home as advised me that the tortion spring was broken and needed to be replaced as well as the cables on the sides. As it was still cold outside and parking is limited on my street, I needed to do whatever it was to fix the door. I was rushed through the numbers of the installation, service, do not recall service warranty terms being explained to me, but in the end the bill came to $419.98 from $89.00. The garage door lifted up and down after he repaired the door, but sounded like crunching metal. He then told me it was most likely the wheels on the sides and to go to home improvement door to buy a can of garage door wheel grease every three months and did not perform this service, my son did the next day after the repair. The garage door still sounded like metal crunching but eventually got less and less and we felt that it was all due to the repair and we were able to live with the small defect. In late June, my husband attempted to open the garage door with his remote and the door began to rise, yet began to open with the right side higher. He then stopped and rehit the garage door remote and it came to a rest with the left side on the ground and right side up. I could not find the receipt and went to the credit card site to find merchant information. They did not have phone or address information and the name appears as : GARAGE DOOR SERV GARAGE DCINCINNATI OH as there was no information available I filed a credit card dispute with AMEX. I then called Angie's List customer service and was provided with the name and phone number. I called the company on 7/6/2016 at 1756. I spoke with a female who stated that her "customer service ladies" were unavailable but would contact me ASAP. I asked her for a breakdown on how $89.00 turned into 419.98 as I didn't have the receipt. I was then told that the service charge was $89.00, the tortion spring was 229.00 and the safety inspection, service warranty (?) and installation fee for cords and tortion spring was $189.00. Two days later without a return call, I called the company back and a young male answered the phone and I explained that the garage door repair they had done in March had failed. He was rather short and rude as I insisted I needed someone to come out to repair the door ASAP. He then stated the service charge was $89.00 to which I balked as it was their repair that failed. He then offered to enter a $70.00 coupon to the service call. I thought I should be charged but agreed to essentially $20.00. The conversation turned to his sarcasm and I then informed him there was a credit card dispute and I would also be calling Angie's List as they offer a price and workmanship guarantee. He then sarcastically remarked that he did not have to give me the $70.00 coupon and I again stated that I would be contacting Angie's List. He then stated that I was threatening him and he would not send out a crew out to me house because I was threatening him as I stated that I would be contacting Angie's List Customer Service in a "verbally threatening manner" and he would not send out a crew as he was afraid I would threaten them as I had threatened him. I insisted that I remain on the schedule he had offered for 1800. I then asked to cease speaking with him as I was being accused by this employee of threatening behaviors. He then stated that I would need to hold and I told him just put me back on hold until I could speak with a manager. He came back on the line and told me they were on the phone and it would be a while. I stated that was fine, I would wait, but then was put into voicemail! I received a phone call from Brianna at approximately 1520. She stated that she would be listening to the taped phone conversation, apologized profusely that the call was handle so unprofessionally and would apply not only the $70.00 coupon but also a $50.00 credit to any repair needed. I then received a voicemail at 1709 that the repairman would call me thirty minutes before arrival. It is currently 1820 and still no phone call. I received a phone call from the technician at 1843 stating his last job ran late and it would be about twenty minutes and he would reschedule with no charge. I asked him to please still come as the garage door needed repair. Kirby arrived at 1915 and stated he had a message that the service call was only $19.00 but had no message of any coupon or credit of $50.00. I then repeated to him repeatedly that I had spoken with Manager Brianna at extension 1008 and could he please call her to confirm. He refused to call and stated that he knew for a fact that his company would only allow him to use one coupon. I reiterated that that was not the agreed terms and for him to please call Brianna He diagnosed the cable that they had repaired in March had gotten caught up in the tortion spring (which they also replaced for 489.19) and that it torqued the door. He suggested we buy a new garage door and the garage door would be weakened because the cable they replaced and torqued the door and the epoxy would weaken the door. He stated it would $799.99 installed with a lifetime warranty/guarantee. I declined to the offer of me purchasing a garage door from them. Finally I called Brianna but was told she was in the bathroom and it would be a while and was placed on hold. When she came back to the phone, she did make mention that there would be a $50.00 credit if it was related to work they had done before. I told her it was related and the fix went from 189.00 to $139.00 after she spoke with Kindle on my cell phone as he again did not want to call her himself. Kindle repaired the cord but the door now pops at the second panel upon rising and lowering.

When communicating with the company it got a little confusing.   We were never sure we were talking to the correct person.  The job was performed ok, however, the technician listened to the "tenant on site" in regards to wishes vs. talking to us the owners. We had requested that materials be hauled away.  The tenant said they would do it.  When I got to the site, materials had not been hauled away.  We made phone calls and it was all resolved.  I purchased a coupon for $399, and the final bill was $549.  I thought that was a little too high for the value.

My old garage door opener's gear broke and the chain consequently came off the track. I called Cincinnati Neighborhood Garage Door services and they responded immediately - sent someone the same afternoon and the service person was very polite, knowledgeable, and seemed experienced. He told me my garage door opener was over 20 years old (which I knew to be true) and that to order the part and repair it would cost almost $200. So, he talked me into installing a new opener to the tune of almost $500.00 - this included adding some new wheels to the garage door which he showed me were quite inadequate and aged and the cause of a lot of noise - these added $80.00 on to the cost. I queried him about any deals and mentioned that I was an Angie's List member. He said that there weren't any Angie's List deals but offered me a 5% senior discount on top of the $125 coupon that he was giving me on the opener. He did a great job on the installation and the door works very well and quietly now! I am very happy with the results. However, after he left, I did decide to take a peek at Angie's list and, what did I discover? Eight deals offered by this company!!!! And one of them would have saved me the cost of the wheels that were installed. So, I called the next business day and complained about this to customer service - and they were amazingly responsive and apologetic - offered to credit the amount of the wheels right away and this brought my bill down to the same amount that I would have paid through Angie's List. So, in the end, I am very happy with this company. I would just say that  their technicians need to be more thoroughly schooled in what deals are available to consumers - but the customer service is excellent and, so far my experience with the company is a very good one. Grade = A

At the time - despite the costly bill, we were satisfied.  Less than 3 weeks later and the springs are damaged.  The technician did not sync the left side to the right side. The garage door is now jammed 6" off the ground.  It's after hours, and the company wants to charge us a call-out fee because it's after 6:00 p.m.  We've been quoted a $129 call-out fee.  We have yet to see what they want to charge us for the repair -despite it's still under warranty.  Also, we learned that while we called the Overhead Garage Door Company, a secondary company appeared and did the service.  After we were given the invoice did we notice that it was Fox Overhead Garage Door Company located on Montgomery Road.

Called late last evening to have them fix a non operating garage door opener. Technician was here at 8 AM and said motor was broken and couldn't be repaired as it was 18 years old.  Installed new Gardian 600 opener and adjusted springs.  Very professional and finished by 9:30 AM.
