Neal's Design Remodel

Neal's was outstanding in every respect! Time and again they exceeded expectations. They say they treat customers like family and they do. From design to planning and construction, Neal's was there. Whenever we had questions or concerns, we got a quick response. Every detail was important to them, and they clearly wanted us to be pleased with the results.

Spoke to Allen who was incredibly honest. Told me they would be happy to look at it and give an estimate, but they usually do decks in conjunction with other work, and I probably could get a better price with a company that does only decks, and he referred me to one which I appreciated. Because of this honesty, this will be the first company I call when I am ready to redo my kitchen.

When it came time to get rid of our huge jacuzzi style tub and humongous plant shelf I only made one phone call. It was Neal’s. We had used them before. They are wonderful! The old master bathroom was gutted and our new one is elegant with everything purposeful. Our designer was Michael. He is an expert on bathrooms. He is so easy to work with, answers all texts and emails. Jantzen was in charge of the actual construction. He pays attention to details, so professional. Handled all our questions and concerns, sometimes even before we articulated them. The results surpassed our expectations! They stand behind their work for two years so that is an important consideration when choosing a contractor.

My husband and I recently completed a six month whole house renovation using Neal's Design Remodel. I can't say enough good things about them. I was looking for a company that could handle a complete house remodel from start to finish. I read many online reviews for Neal's and was pleasantly surprised to find that some of the people had used them for more than one project. The nice thing about Neal's is that you only deal with three main people throughout your whole project. Our first contact was with Frank Kuhlmeier, he was our Project consultant. Frank was very professional, gave us a complete description of the services Neal's offers and described how they handle a project from start to finish. We were also very pleased to find out they offer a full two year warranty on their work. Frank handled working up the design details and the quote for the cost of the project. Once we signed on with Neal's they even provided an architect and engineer to work out some issues during the planning stage of the project. After the project began we were introduced to our Lead Designer Connie Hampton. She came to our house to look things over and get an idea of kind of look we were going for. My husband and I are not designers, so it was great that Neal's provides a designer to help you accomplish the look you had in mind. They even have their own design studio with all the tile and flooring samples you need in one place. Connie was great at showing us all of our options and helping us make our decisions, always keeping our budget in mind. The last person assigned to us was Drew Schroeder. Drew was our Project Manager. He did a fantastic job handling the day to day operations of the renovation. He provided weekly schedules of who would be working on the house and what was being worked on. He handled the scheduling of all the different trades people that worked on the project. He was also the person that answered all of my questions or concerns as the project moved along. Drew was somewhat of a perfectionist as am I, so he really paid attention to the details in the finishing work, which I greatly appreciated. Frank and Drew were also very accommodating to our ever changing list of additions to the project. Frank and Drew never avoided a phone call or text and always replied in a timely manner. In the end we ended up with a beautiful renovation. The quality of materials and workmanship is fantastic. Everyone who worked on our project did an excellent job. They pay very close attention to the details. Overall Neal's was great to work with and provided an excellent result. This is the only project we have done over the years where the result exceeded our expectations. Neal’s is definitely worth the investment, we would highly recommend them.

The Neil's team did a great job on every phase of our project. Our 1960's original-to-the-house kitchen was inefficient, unattractive and cabinets were starting to fall apart. While our kitchen was not enlarged, by removing a wall and repositioning the sink and appliances, the new kitchen is now a wonderful space in which to work. Before, I had to store pans and small appliances in the basement, now everything is stored in the kitchen. We knew going in that Neil's would be more expensive than many other remodelers, but after dealing with less than perfect remodeling of bathrooms and a kitchen in a previous house, we didn't want the frustration and hassle of a less than perfect result. Our expectations on every score were met. Our designer was phenomenal--she gave us just the right amount of options...not so many that we were overwhelmed. And, most important, she was able to speak from experience and steer us away from options that would take away from the efficiency of the space. From tear-out to construction to finishing, the teams that worked in our house were punctual and friendly. Our project manager was on site, if not every day then several times per week, to ensure all work was top notch. We began meeting with Neil's in the summer on the design. Work began the first of October and was completed right before Christmas. Every week we received a project schedule identifying who would be in our house and what they would be working on. Just as with cost, I'm sure there are many other remodelers who would have been faster, but Neil's process ensured perfect coordination among the many tradesmen who worked in our home. We have been using our kitchen for almost three months. We are as happy now with our new space as when we first started using it.

During my first phone call to the company, their representative indicated that I should be planning on spending "3 or 4 time more" money than my planned budget. He practically hung up on me. My budget was based on previous experience and current bids on the job. I got the clear impression that this company only works for rich people. They didn't even look at the job.

Overall excellent design and quality of work. Some communication issues with project manager which Neal's was already aware of and are addressing. Overall "A-" for the project. Neal's is expensive but does more comprehensive work than other bids and quality is top-notch.

This company is exceptional. They will probably be the highest quote you get but every penny spent is worth it. From the planning stage to completion, every step was approached with expertise and quality workmanship. They took great care to respect my home, never left materials around, cleaned up inside and outside each day. They told me how long the project would take, gave me a binder which detailed what they would do each day and finished the project when promised. Great company.

Described the job to front line person who said they would assign it to an individual in their organization. Received a message from this individual. I called the individual back and left a message that I was anxious to discuss the job. Never was contacted. They dropped the ball.

This was the fourth project Neal's has done for us. This time we update appliances and changed the countertops. As usual, Neal's did an excellent job. We had a few concerns when the project was almost done and Neal's responded quickly and appropriately. Nice people, work professionally done.

Our remodel went well every step of the way, and we are thrilled with the results. Detailed planning, skilled execution of the design, and daily cleanup especially impressed us. We were favorably impressed by all Neal's team members with whom we came in contact.

Excellent work.

Neal's completely redesigned and remodeled my downstairs bath. Both the quality of the work and the design were outstanding. They followed a prearranged schedule so that I knew what to expect every day. Trash was picked up regularly, they cleaned up after themselves and were careful not to let my dogs out. I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome and will use them again, if I have other remodeling projects.

The design process was great and all of the contractors and subcontractors were very professional and friendly.  We didn't have to do a thing other than say what we wanted and where we wanted it.  Neal's was a little more expensive than other bids, but the work was impeccable and a great experience overall.
