Service was excellent start to finish. This is the 2nd time I’ve worked with Mobile Radon Diagnostics over the past five years and they have never disappointed. Radon levels dropped dramatically to safe levels after installation and equipment hasn’t caused any issues.

Tito came out within a week to give us an estimate. He clearly explained what needed to be done both for the basement and crawl space and what the process was. He provided the written estimate the same day. The installation crew were scheduled out 2 weeks. They arrived a little after 7 am on the day of installation and were done by 11 am. The work was efficiently and professionally done. They left a monitor in the basement for 3 days afterward and provided a report of the radon level post installation (which was well below 1). This is the second time that I have used Mobile Radon Diagnostics and I would do so again.

The installation went very well, and Tino and his team did a solid job installing the mitigation system and sump pump cover. My wife and I paid using a certified check we received from the sellers at closing made out to Mobile Radon. The check was written for a flat sum of money, and we were informed that whatever remained after the installation would be returned to us in the form of a check. This amounted to a little over $100 in the end. After 5 phone calls to Mobile Radon over the past 2 1/2 months, and multiple replies indicating that the company would send the check, including a voicemail from the owner himself stating he would send out the check post haste, we've yet to receive it. It's a relatively small sum of money in the scheme of things, but it's the principle of the matter that is bothersome.

His crew, Alex and Fred, came at the appointed time and set to work. They were efficient, helpful in answering questions and concerns, and did a good job of cleaning up after. They place a meter in your home for a couple of days to check readings to see how well the system is working. Those readings indicated that it is working well. The system's outlet pipe is not far from our bedroom window and we found that noise from the venting fan traveled into the room; the house is vinyl sided which is no doubt the underlying culprit. I told Alex about this when he picked up the meter and he said that he would replace that fan with another that was quieter. He came back in two days and did this a no additional charge, and it is quiet. I would recommend these folks if you have a radon problem. They've shown themselves to be knowledgeable in the field, efficient in workmanship, and there for follow-up needs.
Description of Work: Our next-door neighbors sold their house, failed radon, and had to install a mitigation system to complete that sale. Since their reading was bad we thought that we'd better get one on our place and it came back at about a 4.0 range, which is not good. Mobile Radon Diagnostics had good reviews so we gave them a call and Tino came out to look the place over and give us an estimate. He answered our questions and gave a bid that we found reasonable, so we scheduled the work.

Description of Work: We purchased a house that had a radon mitigation system installed by Mobile Radon in 1999. One of the vinyl elbows wes cracking from age. Alsowhen the system was installed, it was set up to end under the eaves where the attic vents were, essentially blowing radon gas into the attic. We asked the sellers to have Mobile Radon come and service the system, since they were the original installers. The owners said that Mobile Radon came and did the work for free, which was very nice. They extended the exhaust pipe so that it ended above the roof. They also replaced the old cover on the sump pit as requested. My only disappointment, was that instead of replacing the yellow cracked elbow, they just caulked it. I would have preferred that they replace it. I would have given them an A, but I give them a B for not replacing the elbow during the repair and for not extending the exhaust above the roof when the system was originally installed in 1999.

We are in the process of buying a house and hired Mobile Radon to complete our radon test as a part of the inspection. We were under a tight deadline and engaged in getting results in 48 hours. After those 48 hours, we received a call stating that we would get the results the following afternoon. That did not occur. After calling them twice, they told me they would email the results once they were in (not even call and let us know). Because we did not get our results by the end of the day we had do go ahead with the closing without the results. Then, five days after the initial hire, we finally received our results. They did not call to apologize and did not return my phone calls. After finally getting in touch with the manager, he did nothing to remedy the situation.

Tino came to do the estimate himself. He was very thorough, but still quick. He really educated me on radon and knew a lot about how that is affected by the age of my home. While other companies I got estimates from were just looking for a good place to put the pipe, he also took into consideration the area of my home it would be and the liklihood of the placement being able to fully mitigate the radon. The day the job was scheduled, the crew showed up over an hour after the 2 hour time window I was given, but they did call to say they were running late because of the job before. The work was done relatively quickly and was done neatly.
Description of Work: They mitigated my radon by putting in a putting in a pipe that ran from my basement slab to a fan on the outside of my house and up over the roof

Description of Work: We did a home radon test and found our levels higher than acceptable. The sales/service mand came out explained exactly what the levels meant. He reassured me regarding our having lived with the levels for several years. He explained the details of what his system could and couldn't do. We made an appointment and the system was installed. The installer was one time, cleanly attired, courteous and informative. We would highly recommend this company.

Company phone operator very friendly. They called prior to coming out and then called again as they were on there way. Alex explained the installation procedure in detail and was very courteous, he even removed his shoes upon entering my house (thoughtful). The installation took about an hour and they left no mess. Alex and his helper were very professional. Radon level prior to mitigation 6.1 After installation 1.4. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: I called MOBILE RADON DIAGNOSTICS INC to have the radon level reduced in the house. The house is approx. 3 years old and we moved in this June. The home inspection showed radon levels to be 6.1 (higher than EPA standards). Alex and helper installed a radon mitigation system in the basement at the southwest corner of the room. This involved core drilling a hole in the basement floor and running PVC pipe up the wall, through the exterior brick, connecting it to an exhaust fan and then continuing the PVC pipe up the outside wall to the roof line. In addition an electric line had to be routed to the circuit breakers.

Within 2 hours of calling Mobile Radon Diagnostics, Tino was at my home to provide a quote. He brought pictures and described in detail the work to be done. On the day of installation, his crew came right on time, were very professional, installed the equipment, and cleaned up afterwards. The subsequent test showed a significant reduction in radon.

Alex came for the quote and was very professional. I received the quote via email that evening. Alex was very good in trying to help me understand the system. He was very patient with me. I highly recommend this company should you need a radon mitigation system.
Description of Work: Installed radon mitigation system. It was necessary to cut through our concrete foundation. It only took about an hour to install and they will be back in three days to check out their meter to be sure the level of radon is below the EPA recommended reading of 4.0.

Tino saved us $125 they charge for a pre-remediation radon level test since we had already done several ourselves. The workers showed up for the job promptly and worked quickly. It took only an hour. Clean up could have been more thorough and some marks were left on the side of our house by their ladder.

THEY WERE STAFFED FRIENDLY AND CLEAN. FROM THE RADON TEST TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE MITIGATION WAS ALL WITHIN 48 HOURS FROM MY INITIAL CALL. IT TAKES 24 HOURS TO DO THE TEST. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM, THEY ARE CLEAN, FAST AND FRIENDLY.
