I hired Jim Carver & Sons for a kitchen remodel. The project required the removal of two small walls to open up my floorplan and the wall removal required re-routing of several HVAC vents. At the initial meeting, my kitchen was measured and photographed. About 1 week later, my new design was ready for review. We signed the contract in April and the project began in June. The bulk of the project only took 5 days (demo and new cabinet installation). We were given a temporary sink for 2-3 weeks while we waited for the counters. Once the counters were installed, the sink and dishwasher were installed that the backsplash was laid. The project was painless and even came in under budget. I'd hire Jim Carver & Sons again in a heartbeat. Adam Kelley was my rep and Gary was my crew leader. Both were fantastic to work with!

Project went very well. Installer was a perfectionist, so I was very lucky he fitted a 2 piece granite counter top over the vanity and a floating portion over the commode. You can't tell it is really 2 pieces....the 2 parts look like one. Bath vanity mirror had to have mirrors flipped and reattached to accomodate a tri-view instead of a front view. New HVAC was installed under vanity. All plumbing and work done in a very professional manner. Carver & Sons, have great follow-up to get all parts completed. You might pay a little more but it is worth it!!!

I called to discuss installation of a sliding glass door. Steve Carver was rude, tersely informed me that we were out of his service area, and hung up on me. It costs nothing to be professional and courteous.

Carver did excellent work! From the beginning planning to the actual work it was very efficient. The craftsmen on the job were skilled and very friendly to have in my home. I was comfortable going out of town and having them come in and do the work. I was very pleased and would have them again for any remodel job. I liked the one stop shopping...Carver could supply everything!

Called and left 2 messgaes a week apart with no response. Called back a 3rd time and after making a request to have someone come out for an estimate the employee I spoke with said the home was "near the edge of their territory" and wasn't interested in giving me a quote. The business is in Anderson and the home is in Wyoming. I definitely wasn't being taken seriously and can't believe that a drive across town was a factor in a renovation that would be 16-20k. I just don't like that approach at all.

Project went so smooth. The remodeling started on the scheduled date. The subcontractors all arrived when they were supposed to arrive. Subcontractors were all professional (HVAC, hardwood flooring). I would definitely use Carver Remodeling again. Adam Kelly was our go to person at Carver, and he was so good to work with. He gave us lots of great suggestions, but without being overbearing. He simply wanted to let us know additional options that perhaps we had not considered. I would recommend Carver to family and friends. The price below includes putting hardwood to match our other hardwood floors into the dining room area and refinishing all of the hardwood. And our kitchen remodel was on the less expensive side because we re-used all of our cabinets (they were only five years old) and appliances. We did add a couple of new custom cabinets to match our existing cabinets. We also had to add granite to the new run of cabinets.

Job went well, replaced door and any damage wood under and adjacent to the opening. Replace trim inside and out. They went the extra mile with adding flashing to the base of the door and beyond. Steve was professional and quality minded.

We heard wonderful reviews about Jim Carver and Sons Home Improvements so we made an appointment and went to their showroom. Absolutely hands down a wonderful company! We signed our contract and began working with our designer Barb who helped us select beautiful products (vanities, toilet, tub, mirrors, countertops and gorgeous tile for our new shower and floors.) Then our crew of John, Alec, Tommy and Wyatt did an incredible job of putting everything together! They truly are artists and we couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out :-)) We are so happy with our new finished bathroom that we are going to have Carver and Son's remodel our kitchen this summer!! Very much looking forward to working with this team again!

Design work was very good, but when the construction began, the job fell apart. I was looking for quality work, done by licensed professionals -- this was not the company to choose. The first day of demo, the two crew members removed all the fixtures, but didn’t put down adequate floor protection, and stained our bedroom carpet. Then it got worse. Day 2, they wanted to start the plumbing, but within a few hours, it became clear they had no clue how to do it. I found out that neither of them were licensed plumbers and that no one had pulled a plumbing permit. Contacted Carver and he tried to find an actual plumber. Day 3, they started into the electrical, but the same problem – neither of the crew member were licensed electricians. Uh-oh. At this point, I stopped the job. Negotiated with Carver to pay for the material delivered, and then had another company finish the work. I would not recommend this company.

We were very pleased with the service and professionalism of Jim Carver and Son's for our remodeling needs. We worked primarily with Dave Carver. He was very patient and helpful with our projects. We felt our kitchen had very limited potential, however Dave was able to produce a design with additional storage space and very nice appeal. He was also able to do the same with our powder room. The project started right on schedule. His crews are very neat and professional. He showed up on site several times to check the progress of the project and to answer any questions we had. Dave works very close with KBR granite and Lovell flooring which allowed seamless scheduling of other aspects of our remodeling. We enjoyed working with Dave Carver and I would not hesitate to have Jim Carver and Son's assist with any future remodeling projects.

My primary contact was Dave Carver with Carver and Sons. And right to the point we were incredible impressed and thrilled with the work they did. We had a very difficult project. We wanted to remodel and open up the kitchen in a room with 5 entryways and 2 windows which were both different sizes. We had 4 contractors take a look. 3 of them either didn't show up after i discussed the project, or they submitted a design which completely ignored what we wanted (not blowing out the main load baring wall, and opening up a different room). Without making this into a novel, Dave took the time to show up (timely), he put together an incredible design for our kitchen (one that took him multiple tries before it was right for him), and was just incredible to work with throughout the whole ordeal. The project looks great, and the contractors he uses are top notch, in quality and trust worthlessness (could not have asked for a better crew than Gary's) So just to hit the high points - 1) incredibly skilled with the design and what materials would be best for the project 2) could not have a better experience than working with Dave, and Gary (the contractor), both were extremely responsive and attentive to questions 3) thing happens, especially when you involve multiple companies and projects. He was on top of it anytime something came up, and fixed it with as few inconveniences as possible 4) Made a huge project as simple as possible. At the showroom, and at our home 5) He is not cheap, however he was able to help us cut costs where possible, and guide us on which ones are better to let him do (ie we did some demo, changed some outlets, and could have done more...... but he allowed us to do it to lower the costs)... also he's not cheap because you get quality. 6) Not being cheap does not mean he is expensive. We feel he is well priced for doing a very high quality job. It was a big job 7) the Guy genuinely cares about the work he does. From when you get at the showroom to completion. He follows up, communicates well, takes the time to make sure he shows us the designs and products that we can use (until we know we like it). He showed up at our house multiple times to inspect the progress, and check how it was all coming together. He followed up well after completion, and came back to touch up small updates quickly ps - worth noting we were just as impressed with the contractors (Gary) as we were with Dave throughout the project. What we say about him, carry's through to the staff he uses on the projects.

Jim Carver & Sons recently took our outdated and unfunctional kitchen from the 1980s and transformed it into the kitchen of our dreams. Dave Carver's vision for the layout of our kitchen and first level floor is what set his company apart from the rest of the quotes that we received. His design was too good for us to pass up. In addition, the quality of the workmanship and the materials that they used in the kitchen was top-notch. They paid attention to every little detail, and they made sure that we were happy with everything that they did. I'd highly recommend Jim Carver & Sons if you are thinking about remodeling your kitchen. Our redesigned kitchen has truly made our house a better place to live.

We appreciated the direct, no-nonsense, no high-pressure sales tactics approach. Windows look great! Installation was great with generally good communication, though I would have appreciated a call when install team was running about an hour late on day 1 of the project.

Professional and on time. They keep their timeline and are flexible. They were able to get to the house and get things done even when I am not around the house. They correct minor problems right away. We had some miscommunication and ordered the wrong kind of door but it was solved for some additional charge. No other issues and job was impressive quality. Amazing design and finishing. Adam (the project manager) gave me the right advice when I am not sure with design questions. Top notch by any standard. Deserve A++. They worked with us to maximize work when we were out of the house. The installation crews were extremely friendly, polite and professional, and they asked questions as they went along. We didn't change the floors so they came up with very nice baseboards and trim. there was one minor miscommunication on a spice drawer we wanted, but the cabinetry and countertops went very smoothly. Because we widened a peninsula, they moved three light fixtures to center them without restricting cabinet doors. They temporarily kept the sink and plumbing connected as long as possible, and they kindly installed a new refrigerator we had delivered and transferred the contents when we were out of town. They made all arrangements for microwave and refrigerator delivery, and quartz countertop measurement and installation (including new sink unit). This is definitely a classy company to work with.
