Patrick did a very thorough job inspecting the house and explained problems to me as he went.  He identified a number of issues that I would have totally overlooked and helped me understand the severity of the problems.  He was punctual and I received the inspection report (with lots of detail and pictures) in a reasonable amount of time.  His inspection not only gave me a much better idea of the condition of the house, but helped me to know what to look for in other houses prior to making an offer.  The cost of the inspection was $300 which I felt was a very good value for the quality of the work done.

The first house, which we knew to be a fixer, ended up being a total rehab.  Patrick identified that the roof was failing, the yard needed regrading, the chimney was unusable, and most importantly, the house was built with aluminum wiring.  Added up, we decided it was too much.  Patrick did a great job of photo documenting issues and providing the information in a way that we could understand.
Since we had such a positive experience the first go-round, we called Inspection Plus again with the second house and asked for Patrick.  He was already at the house when we arrived and  even got up on the second story roof.  The problems he found on the new roof are being taken care of under the roof warranty.  And we were able to use the other findings in the report to negotiate a lower sales price so that we can address the issues before moving into the house.
We hope we don't need to use their services again anytime soon, but would definitely do so if needed.

Wayne was GREAT. I can't recommend Inspection Plus enough! They were extremely timely in their responses back to me in scheduling and, even though the listing agent didn't have the house dewinterized when Wayne did the inspection, it was no problem to get Wayne back out to the house to finish the inspection once the house was dewinterized! He did a super thorough job and was really easy to work with. USE THEM.

Wayne did a great job.  He met us at the house on time and inspected the house thoroughly.  He took the time to explain what he was looking at and the relative importance of the issues detected.  I would recommend him to a friend.

Knowledgeable, easy to work with when I called for the inspection.  She had the Radon gas monitor placed in the condo two days before the inspection in order to allow the Radon test to be complete the same day as the inspection.   Wayne did a nice job of pointing out the good and the bad.  The termite inspection, the Radon gas test and home inspection all arrived on time.  I would use this company again.

Rich was very thorough and patient. He explained everything he found to us and we did not feel like we were in the way being there. The report we were provided was very detailed and helpful in making our decision.

Very well, the home has some issues which were made apparent to us through John's inspection. Despite the best efforts of the home owners to cover those issues up.

He arrived on time. Inspected areas. I didn't even think of. Answered all of my questions. Completed the evaluation in three house as expected.

I couldn't be more pleased with the thouroughness of the inspection and friendliness/compentancy of Don Crum, the lead inspector.  I was worried because we were buying a 140+ year old house and wanted to ensure that we identified all the issues / challenges of older homes.  I accompanied Don during the inspection and he did a great job of not only inspecting the property, but also explaining the areas that he was insepcting and recommended actions that I should do as a homewoner for annual upkeep and maintenance.  The report was very thorough(over 30 pages) and included pictures of all the discrepancies noted.  He was very detailed in his inspection and his report and seemed to inspect every nook, cranny, and opening that was accessible or visible.  Importantly, he helped me better understand the particular problems and needs of 100+ year homes and made a special effort to ensure that I understood what te probelms might llok like in the future so I could be a more preared homeowner.  I would defiantley plan to use them for pre-closure Home Inspection, especially if you are purachsing an older home.

John was very nice and was recommended to us by our realtor. He is very friendly and knowledgable. He also teaches at Cincinnati State and had a student who just finished the course with him. Between the two of them, they were very thorough and found some stuff in the house that the sellers were going to have to pay for. The house needed new wiring and it cost the seller $5,000. John was very thorough and provided a comprehensive report and we had that report late that evening. This house also had to have a Radon service done so the seller had to pay for that too. We didn't compare pricing so I'm not sure what the running rate is. If we had any questions, John would answer right away. He also honored a coupon we had for a discount. Instead of taking the coupon he told us to hold on to it and pass it along and any referrals he gets, he will pass on a referral fee to us.

John and Joseph did a great job.  They were through and complete.  They took the time to explain as they went through the process.  The report was very quick in coming and covered all aspects with helpful comments and excellent photography.

It was an easy and simlpe process because the expert inspector knew what he looking as he conducted a very detailed checklist.We had questions and he provided the answers we needed as well as giving us guidence and peace of mind.It was well worth having the inspection.

I wasn't really pleased with them because they did not detect the gas leak.

We met them at our potential new home and they were quite thorough.  Traipsed through crawl spaces, through basements, and entire whole home with a fine-tooth comb.  Their inspection was one of the most complete I've ever seen - would highly recommend them to anyone needing a thorough job.

John did a full inspection of a new home, he was extremely thorough and took time to explain exactly what he was looking for and concerns he had.  He also pointed out items he was impressed with such as the size of the water heater and good job that had been done on the insulation.  The report he generated and sent via email was very clear and concise, his price was very fair, and most importantly his job thorough.  He took pictures to document problems he found.   I might also add he was a very pleasant gentleman and seemed to very much enjoy his work.  Highly recommend John and his company!

We're purchasing a "fixer upper" that has a lot of visible issues, but needed someone that could do a thorough inspection to help uncover potentially hidden problems. Sibcy-Cline Home Services recommended John, the owner of Inspections Plus, as being a good person for this particular job. We weren't disappointed!! We followed John around on his inspection (he encouraged it) and asked lots of questions. He was great at pointing things out, as well as giving us his thoughts/insights. Not only was he informational on the walk-through, his written report was supported with pictures and recommendations. We spent over 3 hours combing through this house and it was worth every minute of time and dollar we spent. We were able to start a great budget for items that needed fixed/replaced, as well as a great to-do list. John was a nice personality fit for us as well as a very thorough and informational inspector. We'd happily recommend him to others and use him again in a heartbeat!!

Very thorough. Inspected all plumbing, heating, electrical, foundation and for termites. Jim was very professional, prompt and courteous and efficient. Recommend highly.
