"Thank you [Member name removed] for taking the effort to submit a review on Angie's List. Let me know when you are ready to continue searching out quality investment properties. I have been in the Construction and Real Estate industry for over 30 years... and believe that my success has been a direct result of taking that extra step. Your referral to others that may need a Realtor would greatly be appreciated."
"Thank you[Member Name Removed] for your great review! It was a pleasure working with you & your family to find that 'perfect home'. I have been doing this for over 30 years -- and really enjoy real estate."
"In many cases, especially in this uncertain housing market, I suggest that the seller get an appraisal. This helps establish a market value, which sometimes shortens the negotiation time with a buyer. I did touch base with the eventual buyers a second time. Persistence pays off!"
"This case really underscores the value of having a professional real estate agent handle a property. While a seller may not be able to generate a market for a property, I can often use various advertising and marketing techniques to attract prospects, which is just what happened here. Of course, the cash part was just luck, but I'll take luck whenever I can get it!"
"I can't tell you how bad I feel about missing this appointment. It's one of the few times in 40 years that I couldn't make an appointment without being able to connect to the other party. To make it all worse, I was trying to do a good deed. There I was, helping an 86-year-old woman move items from her farm, which was, sadly, going through a foreclosure sale. I heard about her plight at church and decided to help out, so it wasn't at all connected to my real estate business. I had allowed myself enough time to help this lady and still get to the client's appointment. Everything was going according to plan until I backed my truck into the barn. It looked like it had a dirt floor, but the barn was on a hill, and the floor was just wooden. Over the years, the planks had become covered with dirt and straw. The rear wheels of my truck fell through the floor of her barn! And there we were, the lady and I, sitting at a rather incredible angle in my truck, down near Owenton, Kentucky. And the property sits down in a hollow, so of course there's no cellphone reception. Well, I could only wait until someone came by. I wasn't going to leave an elderly woman by herself. So this happened about 11 a.m. At 3 p.m., the lady's son happened by. He went five miles down the road to a neighbor's place to get a chain. The neighbor came by with his truck and we went to work to get my truck freed up. At 7 p.m., I finally got back to the interstate, where there was phone reception. This client was the first call I made. I offered to meet with him anytime at all, to switch my appointments around to accommodate him, but unfortunately that was not possible. I still felt bad about missing the appointment so later I emailed him and offer to email or mail him a breakdown of sales for 16 months. In fact, it so happens that I've sold two homes on his street, along with other homes in the area, so I am quite familiar with his property. I certainly understand this client's disappointment, especially as he is came in from out of town and was trying to get a lot done in a short amount of time. I do take client appointments VERY seriously and, believe it or not, even pride myself on my punctuality and reliability. So, it's especially painful to me to miss an appointment in this way. I do believe the good Lord has a plan. Sometimes, I just wish he would share just a little bit of it with me!"
"These clients were great to work with. They remodeled most of the entire house, and they were out there constantly, pitching in themselves, right alongside the work crews. A major reason the house was the second one on the street to sell was all the work the clients had done to the home to spruce it up. I'm glad the Mrs. liked working with me!"
": A Page of Happiness! Those are so great to receive. Very affirming. Thank you! Actually, it's 40+ years of experience in construction, but who's counting! Even though this effort didn't lead to a sale, it looks like I have a client who is committed to using me again, and that's one of my top goals when working with anyone."
"It's important for an agent to listen closely to a buyer's needs and wants and to even help the buyer separate out "needs" from "wants" to increase their flexibility in the market. Working with a "for sale by owner" property offers its own challenges because the seller is seldom a real estate professional. I feel my experience helped smooth the way for this transaction."
"I feel my construction experience is a real advantage; it's like getting a preliminary home inspection right at the start. It's very gratifying to have made suc a favorable impression, and I appreciate the referral they have already given us. Another advantage I offer is my familiarity with the area. I've lived here pretty much all of my life, so know pretty much all of the neighborhoods. It was nice to be able to recommend other areas the buyers might like to look at."
