"We had a 3 man crew on site for 2 hours, that is 6 man hours total which I did not charge extra. We did all she had asked to have done besides removing 2 pine 40 foot trees completely. I have not been found of the Big Deal due to the fact the general population has unrealistic expectations of what they will get for the deal they purchased before the company even looks at the job. I had talked to her after the job was complete and she seemed satasfied and had also told her the amount of time the crew was on site for."
I contacted Gavin and within a week, even with all the snow, he went out and took a look at the tree, provided me an estimate and was out there in two days to have his crew cut it down. Turn around time was unbelievable! They don't mess around!
I have a small yard and they took care not to drive through my flower beds, drive over the neighbor's bushes, or hit his privacy fence, hit any of my other trees, or hit my shed or my privacy fence! And this tree was located at the very back of my yard right smack next to the shed with the privacy fence right behind the tree; pretty much growing on top of it! It was tight quarters to say the least. But they got the job done and hauled the wood away that same day and what they couldn't get in the first load, they came back the very next day and picked up the rest. It didn't sit there for days. And my yard was left int good order as well. They also trimmed a maple tree a bit while they were there.
Because of the snow, they were unable to grind the stump of the pine tree, but he will be back this spring/summer to do that when the weather allows.
I found their estimate more than reasonable and competitive and I did call around before deciding on them. Gavin was a pleasure to work with and is very personable and professional.
This was my first experience with them and I'm very, very satisfied with Gavin's operation and I would definitely recommend them, which I already have, and will use them in the future.
"(member name removed) having tree work done is very objectionable, and no 2 companies do it the same way, my question on price is are they performing the same service I had quoted ? Your 80 foot Oak tree has not been pruned for some time if at all and was going to require a full day and a 3 man crew to perform the work. Sorry you feel We were to expensive to perform your work and hopefully the company you chose does the same level of work we had quoted. There are many companies in our area of town that are not insured and do sub standard wok."
"The only message we got from customer was the big deal purchase, we always respond as soon as possible to all estimate request. The tree was a 7 hour job with travel and time on site and with tax was $1174.00. The tree was in a spot that needed to be climbed and lowered with rope over the fences and the neighbors house and required a 3 man crew. We bid all job as economically as possible to still allow profit for the company. There are a lot of options for contractors and every consumer should be aware of liability insurance and if they are insured to preform the work they are performing, not to mention workers comp insurance, if a contractor is not properly insured then it could possibly fall back on the homeowner for repairs and compensation."
My wife arranged for G&A to cut down two trees on our property. One of the trees was very big and in a tough spot on a hill and very close to the house, a fence, stairs, and a lamp post. The tree was not dead but we were worried that with a storm or heavy winds, the tree would crash into the house. The crew worked tirelessly until the job was done and did absolutely no damage to the house, fence, stairs, lamp post, or the yard. I was very impressed with their cleanup effort. If not for a bit of sawdust, I would not have known they were even there. Overall, G&A was punctual and did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it. We would certainly recommend this company to others.
