EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS

Their customer service for delivery and professionalism leaves a lot of room for improvement. The day before Valentine's Day, I call home for my messages, and hear the delivery driver who states he is attempting to make a delivery to my house, but realizes nobody is home, and says he will wait a bit for further instruction, but if not, I should call the office to re-schedule the delivery. Well, oh, goodie! I was getting a surprise arrangement. The next day I call, and the woman who answered the phone, was talking to someone in the background as she was talking to me on the phone, the whole time. I stated I needed to schedule a re-delivery. Firstly, she asked if I had my order number. WHAT? How should I know? This was a surprise to me that I was even getting something. (she is still talking to someone there in the store). I ask if she can look it up by address. Yes. So, I give my address. Okay, they can re-deliver, but, she says, "we may have to charge you an additional re-deliver charge". WHAT? I told her that wasn't fair. How was I supposed to know about this delivery? Okay, she renigged. (still talking to someone in the background, about my delivery now.) I told her to just leave it on the doorstep if nobody was home, if they could not give me a specific time. (now she is telling the person in the background all this, oh, but wait, she had to give this other person instructions about logging the order/delivery). I suggest to her that maybe in future, they could call the person to say that they have a delivery and find out when would be convenient, so no trip was wasted. She said that then it wouldn't be a surprise for those who the delivery was for. WHAT? Wasn't that my situation? But, look what I mess that was. How was I supposed to know, if it was a surprise, then have suggested that another deliver charge would be applied? I told this woman (who was STILL talking who whomever in the background) that I had to get off the phone, and repeated to just leave the deliver at the doorstep. GEEZ! Well, yes, finally, the arrangement made it to the door. That itself was nice, well presented, and good items. Product was good, but I would give the delivery logistics a "D". I would get the product again, but suggest to the giver to not have it delivered.
