Doc Destruction removed 178 lbs of docs to be shredded today. He was on time, called 20 minutes before arrival and was finifhed in lesss than 15 minutes. The docs were shredded on location and to my satisfaction. Then I received a certificate showing the docs were shredded. Very pleased with the entire process. Bought the 250 lbs for $75.00 on Angie's List. It was a great deal!

The young man was very polite and conscientious. He picked up the boxes that I had waiting from the basement and carried them to the truck. The whole process was less than 30 minutes.

overall ok....the shredding part was good, but the service was a mediocre experience for me... i was very appreciative that the business owner was very nice & assisted me in scheduling the appointment after the time had expired since i had some personal issues that had interfered w scheduling. my problem came when the technician arrived. i had hired someone to do this because i am unable to carry large or heavy things down stairs. And I had them all neatly organized for him when he arrived. i am certain i had informed the owner ahead of time that my materials for shredding would be upstairs in one room. But when the serviceman arrived, he got very annoyed and a lot of attitude when i told him the materials were upstairs and said that I "should have had extra charges for that" and asked me if "(I) would be carrying them down the stairs....". he made me very uncomfortable and was barely cordial, rather annoyed and mostly "silent" throughout the visit. Ultimately, he did remove the materials (it was only < 1/2 the weight of the materials i had paid to have shredded but all i could get organized in the limited time I had). i carried some of it as well -- although it was very physically uncomfortable for me...he emptied everything from the boxes and bags they were in into a large rubber container and then threw my containers, etc onto my porch (my mess to clean up) without an effort to leave them neatly in a pile.... the shredding part went well otherwise. i still have a lot more shredding to do and am not sure i feel comfortable hiring them again, which is a shame, because the actual work of shredding went fine and the owner was very kind & accommodating. if i could coordinate w a friend or neighbor who would be interested in helping to carry and would stick around to interact w the cranky fellow, i might consider it...i still don't know as yet. in summary, i would say if you're a person on your own with any physical limitations to carry your own things for the man doing the shredding, you might want to think twice before going with this company. if this isn't an issue for you, i'm sure you will be happy w the service.

To schedule with Document Destruction, I sent an email to address provided, but then looked up the company website and called to schedule an appointment. Respondent was very helpful in describing what days they visit certain parts of town. Deal coupon did not include the phone number, which was awkward, and they do not offer a time window at the time of reservation narrower than 8 am-5 pm, which is a challenge for working folks. They do offer a 30 minute call-ahead, which we made work for us. Documents need to be accessible to the driver, as in the garage or on the first floor. Through live video, you can watch to make sure everything is shredded. If you have old files or bound documents, no worries: everything goes in the shredder and is sorted during the recycling process later. This is a great solution for getting rid of old tax documents, bills, etc!

From first contact to the end service was perfect

Called for an appointment to have them come to my office instead of home as our company was moving and needed to shred old documents along with my personal documents. They were very easy to work with on the phone and set an appointment to be there two days after I called as it was their regular day in the area. We had more than estimated and that was no porblem. They carried everything out and shredded it on site. Great to work with overall, would highly recommend them.

Very smooth- no problems. They came to my house and put the documents in the shredder before me. The whole thing took maybe 5 minutes

make sure you know that they will call immediately before coming-I didn't and missed the call and had to wait until past the scheduled window
