it was a quick and easy fix of the dryer belt. Dean from BA diagnosed the problem over the phone so was able to bring the right parts with him. He gave me an accurate estimate over the phone and was able to do the repair the same day -- within hours of my call. I was very pleased with the quality of the service and professionalism.

We moved into our house in September of last year. We had a home warranty with the purchase through First American.
When preparing Easter Brunch, we noticed that the burners on our KitchenAid electric stove/range/oven would suddenly stop working and thus we could not cook our brunch. So a few business days later we called First American to put in a claim to get the electric stove/range/oven repaired.
First American sent out BA Appliance Repair to fix it. They said the controls needed to be replaced and that they would order the parts. A few days later the parts showed up at the house and BA Appliance Repair called to verify and schedule someone to come out and do the repair.
When BA Appliance showed up, they had two people because they said this was going to be a big job. Apparently along with the controls, the wiring harness had to be replaced since the controls had different connections. So when they opened the parts box and took a look, the two guys had a conversation and said they could not do the work. They said they were going to call First American and tell them they needed to send out another company.
A few days later, First American called Sears (was not actually Sears, it was a subcontractor that Sears uses) to come out and take a look. They said the control board needed to be replaced. They ordered the part, came out replaced it, and it really did not work even worse than before. They then ordered another control board. The board worked the next time, but the stove still have the problem with the controls going out and the burners stopped working again while you would try to cook. So now Sears agreed with BA that the controls needed to be replaced. When the control parts arrived, the Sears guy looked at the box of parts (same parts that BA Appliance ordered) and said that the stove was beyond repair. They said First American was going to replace it now.
Then I followed up with First American who verified the stove was going to be replaced. BUT....a few days later when they found out this unit originally a high-end stove worth around $2,500 they decided not to replace it and called a third appliance repair company - Day's Appliance Repair.
Day's sent out one of their technicians who said he could fix it. He agreed the controls were bad. I filled him in on the entire ordeal (two months had passed by this time). Day’s said that the repair was very time consuming and difficult and that's why in his opinion the other two appliance repair companies (BA Appliance Repair and Sears) backed out and said they could not to it. I also did not mention earlier that the Sears subcontractors dented the stove control panel while trying to put the stove back together. They admitted they did it and said they would replace it. Sears never did, so I did tell Day’s I wanted that replaced when he came back to do the repair.
Day’s submitted their estimate to First American - I am just guessing the repair was north of $500 - and First American gave them the OK to repair it. Day’s ordered the parts and when they came in, Day's called and scheduled the repair.
It was a big job to rewire it and Day’s was here for a few hours. But when it is all said and done, as Day’s promised, they said they could fix it and they did. Days’s people were real professionals and knew exactly what they were doing.
I was very disappointed that First American called BA Appliance Repair in the first place. BA Appliance Repair should have been able to fix this. I watched the guy from Day’s and it was not so much a difficult job as a time consuming job.
The only thing I can think of is that when BA Appliance Repair sent their estimate to First American it was too low and so they were going to lose money. Instead of losing money, they just decided to bag it and let some other company deal with the problem.
So if you are in Cincinnati I might suggest you call Day’s first before BA Appliance Repair. Oh, and the $60 price I noted in this review is for the deductible I had to pay them as part of the First American contract.

Mr. Bigelow came when he said he would ( I was so happy), He was polite and professional. He checked my dishwasher and pronounced it as good as dead. He gave me helpful suggestions for a new one and didn't charge me for his time.

He explained what was wrong with dishwasher and shop vac'ed out the water that he put in the machine, to test it out. He explained he could put a new motor in, but it would be more cost affective to buy a new machine.

  1. Upon initial call, Dean picked up. Gave description of problem. With that information, he had a heads up on probable cause. Showed up with the part. Removed old part, installed new one and every thing good to go.

Called on December 23rd regarding refrigerator not keeping cold. Said
they would for sure make it to us on December 24th in the morning but would call if
they got a cancellation. True to their word, there was a cancellation
and they were out same day. Diagnosed the problem right away. Dean and
Tom were both very kind and courteous. Willl definitely use again and
would definitely recommend. Not sure if the cost of the repair is comparable to others, so rated it a B as I do not have a good gauge.

Noticed on a Saturday morning that our fridge was quiet and not all the cool in the inside. The freezer side was frosty and melty all at hte same time. BA Appliance thought it might be our compressor. An estimated $800 repair. It was $39.95 to have them come out and look at the fridge. If they mae any repairs the $39.95 would go toward the service. If there were no repairs made we would simply pay $39.95. When the repair person arrive he discovered that part of the unit was full of ice. So the fridge/freezer had gone into defrost mode. We were told to leave it unplugged. doors open and let it defrost for a fulll 24 hours. And then plug it back in.
BA Appliance was great. They were quick to repsond. Didn't charge us and arm and a leg to come out on a Saturday. And they were honest. What we thought might end up being the cost of a new fridge/freezer, turned out to be $39.95. Highly recommend them!

Dean was great. I called on Tuesday to schedule an appointment for the next day. He was very nice and we set up the appointment for between 9-12 the next day. On Wednesday, Dean called to say he would be later than he expected. I really appreciated him taking the time to call and let me know that he was going to be later because his first job took longer than expected. That was thoughtful of him. Once he arrived, right when he said he would, he got right to work, replaced the door and we have had no problems since.

I was set up with BA Appliance through my home warranty. The employees could not have been nicer or more responsive. They were concerned that my fridge was not functioning and I risked food spoilage and wanted to make sure to help me right away. That was not necessary, but I appreciate the concern. They were a pleasure to deal with. They called when they were on the way and arrived promptly. The gentleman was friendly and repaired my fridge quickly. He had paid attention to the details (what kind of fridge, what was wrong) and had the necessary parts on his truck.
I could not be more pleased with their service. I highly recommend BA Appliance!!

We called another popular service company and they couldn't get an appointment until the FOLLOWING Saturday 8-2. I called Dean and he said he would be out THAT DAY at 2:00, no waiting around! He came on time, turned on my dryer, and knew instantly what the problem was and fixed the problem. He had it cleaned and done in less than 30 minutes. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and explained everything he did. Best appliance service call ever!!!and rdquo; I am very happy we found Dean at BA! I will recommend him to my friends and family.
