Excellently. Joe arrived timely, set out his drop cloth and went to work. He carefully laid out the time that he removed on the drop cloth to ensure that he re-installed it in exactly the same position after he had cleaned the mortar from it. Joe explained each step of the reconstruction process, including the purpose of the high temperature mortar, as he proceeded.

Did a great job. A tennis ball got into the gutter the following weekend and clogged the drain and he came right back out within an hour (he was in the area when he got my message so he stopped by on the way to lunch) and took care of the problem. I was impressed!

What a terrific experience. Dave called 24 hours before to reconfirm appointment, showed up on time, performed what we discussed, was clean and respectful of our home and we were charge the amount we were quoted.

David Jacob came to our one-story, ranch-style house to perform the chimney inspection and cleaning which was an Angie's List special for $175. He was professional and fast. He determined that the chimney and firebox are in good condition. Did note the crown needs repair and provided a quote to fix that this coming spring - price quote is $825 which includes a 12 x 12 stainless steel cap - I plan to get additional quotes for that fix - seems kind of high. He told us we can still use the fireplace in the meantime.
Overall, he did a good job. Based on the condition of the chimney and the fact he was here less than an hour, I probably overpaid with pre-paying for a "special". But I do have peace of mind for being able to use a feature that we really haven't utilized and look forward to doing so - which there isn't a price that can be put on that.

I made the appointment via Angie's List. Dave replied promptly and set an appointment  for the next week. The process went very smoothly. 
Dave was running late the day of the appointment, but called to say he would be a little late. Once he was here he went right to work. He was sure to lay covers on the floor and hallway to keep our home from getting dirty.
He was only here about 45 minute, so the price feels a little high, but he is highly rated and I would rather get quality vs. a lower price. 
Dave said he is transitioning his business to a new owner next year. He is being very careful to train this person extensively. I hope his replacement keeps up the good work!

He was punctual, and he did the work quickly. He discussed details of what he did and wrote a report on his work and the condition of my fireplace. He covered the work area and left no mess at all.

Vacuumed the flue and provided advise for future maintenance of firebox and chimney.
Also advised on covering chimney top with hardware cloth and capping pipe vents to prevent any recurrence of animal or organic matter entering.
Dave was very professional and explained the process without sounding like he was talking down to us.

He does a great job. He  initially inspected and cleaned the chimney when we first moved into the house. We don't have fires too often, so he calls me only every three or four years to schedule the cleaning. He is friendly and neat, keeping the work area very clean. My fireplace is now clean and ready for next winter.

The experience was very good. He came when he said he was going to come. He did what he said he was going to do. The price was reasonable.

He arrived on time and did everything he said he would do.  A very pleasant experience.

He carefully covered the floor all around he fireplace before performing any work. When the work was completed, the room was exactly the same as before he arrived. He asked how long it had been since our last cleaning (probably 2-3 years) and suggested that we schedule with him again about that far in the future provided that our usage stays the same. He is very low pressure and obviously knowledgeable about his profession. I would highly recommend him. 

David did an excellent job cleaning the fireplace and chimney.  I was able to spend some time learning about fireplaces and chimneys from DavId in regards to gas fireplaces.
I feel very comfortable about having a fire in my fireplace, since David told me everything was in great shape

There was absolutely no mess and I felt like he was knowledgeable and helpful when discussing future repairs that were needed.  He is a very pleasant person!
