Since 1981, our company has been proudly providing residents of Ohio with complete protection from theft, fires, and other disasters. We are a fully licensed, bonded, insured, and certified company that will only use top-of-the-line security products, and then offer them to our customers at prices that won't be beat by our competition, regardless of what they're promising. At Midwest Total Security, we want to protect as many Ohio residents as we possibly can, which is why we have recently merged with another company. This expansion allows us to provide fire protection and security needs for even more of our local communities throughout the state.

Midwest Total install a security system on my new build in the 1990s. A little over a year ago I needed a new battery. An employee replaced it without any problems. A little over a month ago, the battery refused to work. I’ve placed five phone calls with Midwest Total and they have not responded to my inquiries. There is no follow-through whatsoever! I take it they do not care about older accounts. What poor business practices! Bob

MIDWEST BROUGHT OUT CHEAPER MODULES WHILE DOING THE FINAL PHASE OF WORK. WE POINTED OUT THAT THOSE HARDWARE WAS NOT WHAT HAD SPECIFIED ON THE CONTRACT TO USE. THE FIRST REACTION OF THE COMPANY WAS TO SAY THOSE HARDWARE WAS THE SAME AND THAT'S WHAT THEY ALWAYS USE. FORTUNATELY WE HAD ALL MODEL NUMBERS AND BRAND NAMES SPELLED OUT IN THE CONTRACT. IT TOOK SOME EFFORT TO HAVE THEM FINALLY AGREED TO USE MODULES SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT. DURING THE WAITING PERIOD, CALLS TO THE COMPANY FOR STATUS WERE NEVER RETURNED. MIDWEST'S BID WAS HIGHER THAN OTHER BIDS WE HAD. WE HAD EXPECTED COMPANY WITH THAT SIZE WOULD BE RELIABLE AND WOULD HAVE NOTIFIED CUSTOMER IF THE DELIVERED PRODUCTS WERE CHANGED/DIFFERENT FROM THE CONTRACT. THE ORIGINAL SELLS MAN NEVER ONCE RETURN THE CALLS WHEN WE WERE ANXIOUS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE WITH THE COMPANY.

FAILED TO INSTALL WINDOW SENSORS ON ALL GROUND FLOOR WINDOWS WHICH WAS LISTED AS ITEM #1 ON THEIR CONTRACT. FAILED TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION FOR SECURITY SYSTEM. HAD TO BE REMINDED THREE TIMES TO COME BACK AND INSTALL TWO MISSING VACUUM OUTLETS. HAD PLANNED TO HAVE THEM INSTALL OUR HOME THEATRE. WE QUICKLY CHANGED OUR MIND ON THAT.

THIS COMPANY DOES EXCELLENT WORK, BUT NEEDS TO EITHER STAND BY THE MOTION DETECTORS THEY SOLD US, OR INSTALL ANOTHER SOLUTION THAT PROVIDES THE SAME BENEFIT, OR REFUND OR CREDIT WHAT WAS PAID FOR THIS FEATURE. WE WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HAVE THE ADDITIONAL PROTECTION.
