No problem buying the dishwasher. However, the installer (J&L Remodeling) broke the plumbing valve under the sink when installing the dishwasher. Neither he nor Sears would take responsibility for this, and we ended up paying a plumber to do the repair. Over about week, I called and emailed Sears Bainbridge, and the general Sears Customer Services (CR), at least a dozen times. At first I was told that we would not have to pay to repair something that the installer did. So we waited (and washed dishes by hand), until finally Sears told us that they would not take responsibility for the repair. I spoke with the store manager multiple times; at first she was sympathetic, and said that she would contact her district manager (DM). Apparently the DM spoke with the installer, because the next time I spoke with the manager, she simply repeated the installer's claim (using his words) that he was not responsible for the damage. She gave me the email address of the DM for installation, and I received the same reply from that person. Apparently, the installer is more important to this store than the customer. Sears CR told me (by phone and email) that I should not have to pay for the repair, but no one has answered or followed up on the issue. We have bought many appliances from this Sears store, and have had some of them installed. We never had a problem before. After this experience, however, we will buy our appliances elsewhere. I have also filed a review on Angie's List about the installer, Jeff Basset of J & L Remodeling, who was very rude to us on the phone, in addition to not taking responsibility for the problem.
Description of Work: We bought a new dishwasher, and paid for installation and haul-away of the old dishwasher.
