Dieter Heating and Air Conditioning

Back in 2017 we had an entire new heat pump, inside and outside installed. Bob and his employee Michael installed everything. We came home one day to light switches reversed in the house and one of our cats locked in a room that the door always remained closed to. So we had a bad feeling about what was going on while we had to be away at work. We have one camera in our basement which caught footage of Michael trying to pick the lock to a heavy metal door we have in the basement. Violated is a very appropriate word to describe how we felt after knowing our entire house was rummaged through. But not only violated, scared because we didn’t know if he’d come back to our house after the job was done. We found this footage the day after it had happened and called Bob to inform him of this. While Bob did go out of his way to finish the job on the weekend and alone, we made it very clear Michael was not to be on our property again. When doing a small remodel in the house after the fact, we found above the indoor unit, a lock pit set along with a number of our personal items he stashed there, that we can only assume he intended to steal. Which made us go looking above air ducts in the basement. We found multiple piles of copper piping from the brand new line set that was being stashed. Every year since the brand new unit was installed we have had nothing but problems. We continued to call Bob because of the warranty on the unit. Comments like “well you don’t want my employee on your property” and “you don’t like my employee” we’re made- as if we didn’t have a solid reasoning behind it. Bandaid after bandaid with Bob. There is no way we should need serviced every spring and winter. I just simply don’t believe it. Yet here we are again needing to be serviced this spring. We absolutely will not be calling Bob. The reason we waited so long to make this publicly known was because we didn’t want to dirty Bobs name or reputation over what we thought was just an employee problem, who Bob still employs. Along with also being scared of what the repercussions could be by making this public. But after continuous rude remarks and constant attitude after every time we call seasonally with problems, we feel that it’s time to make this publicly known because who knows who else has had similar issues. If you do a little background check on his employee Michael, you won’t want him at your house either! Anyone who wants to see this footage or pictures of proof- please feel free to message me!

Could use a course in customer relations. Not very friendly, did not explain what he was doing.

Bob was called upon to provide an estimate for a new sun room we were building.  We did not want to tax the existing heating and cooling system of our house, so we opted for a mini split system.  We narrowed it down to two providers and eventually went with Dieter Heating and Cooling out of Canfield.  Bob is the consummate professional in this field.  His knowledge and expertise were evident and he provided one of the longest warranties on is product available.  He arrived when promised and he and his assistant worked diligently to install this system.  The install was very clean and every detail covered.  The finished appearance is beautiful and we are proud to have this in our new living space.  I appreciate Bob's attention to detail and making sure every thing was cleaned up and perfect when done.  I recommend Dieter Heating and Cooling to anyone needing the services of a HVAC professional.  They are the best!

The boiler was a special order and took a long time to get in, but the actual installation only took 3 days the system works great, it is much more efficient than the previous one (only 15 years old) and no leaks or water usage so far.

They even hauled away my old unit and swept the basement when they were done.

He was honest with me and he put in a new furnace. He also re-did the duct work. He really helped me out and he was very knowledgeable.

Bob has worked on our furnace for years (installed by someone else - who is now out of business). He has done an exceptional job. He is upfront on pricing, always on time, and does great work. He had fixed our old furnace multiple times, and always gave us all our options in a fair and upfront manner. We have always felt Bob has our best interest at heart. So when it was finally time for a new furnace, we called Bob Dieter HVAC. They took out the old furnace and installed the new one in the same day. The new furnace is working great. Mike, the guy who works with Bob, is terrific. I can't say enough good things about Dieter HVAC. Highly recommended!

They were prompt, professional, and courteous. I have had them do work for me previously and was very satisfied. Bob is very knowledgeable and helpful.

The person who came down to do the job was very knowledgeable. He came when he was supposed to come. Their price was within the range I had expected. He didn't try to oversell me anything. He left it up to me to make the decisions on his recommendations. He took his time to explain things to me and answer my questions.

Everything went pretty much as planned. Mr. Deiter and his assistant arrived on time and had the unit installed, charged and working that same afternoon. He had recommended putting the inside unit in a different location than where I wanted and he was right on. It looks better and distributes the air more efficiently. They cleaned up everything well and explained the operation of the remote. We are well pleased with the unit, the installation and the professional manner of Bob and his co-worker.

They were very good and were reasonably priced. When they say that they are coming to do something, they turn up on time.

Helped us choose the right size unit, made some excellent suggestions, then quoted a fair price and did the work on time and in a very clean manner. I had a small issue with a fan and he returned immediately to correct it. This guy is knowledgeable and experienced.
