Carl was on time, professional and had us up and running in less than 45 mins. The CSR, Grace was great when scheduling. No pushy sales pitch, just great customer service. Seemed like this company wanted our business. Unlike some companies that acted like they were doing us a favor to come out and service our A/C.

Techs put gauges on freon system and said everything should be working fine, but lacked experience and could not figure out what was wrong. They blamed lack of airflow and opened up all of our registers and dampers, which botched up the air balance on the system, but still didn't fix the problem. The owner agreed to refund our money if we tell them how it got fixed. We hired a larger firm who left their gauges on for a longer time and noticed the TXV was not maintaining pressure and the evaporator coil was icing up. We explained how the larger firm diagnosed and fixed our system and the owner returned our check as promised.

This is the 2nd time I've used Pickerington Heating and Cooling for HVAC maintenance. They are professional and curteous. I will continue to use them.

They were fantastic. I love using them. I request James every time. Last year they came out to replace one of our A/C units. They gave me a very good deal. The installers were great. They came out yesterday for a repair on the second one and gave a reasonable price on replacement.

We had their Technician - Matt Losco - out to review and recommend a replacement central air conditioning unit. He was exceptionally professional, cordial, informative and non-condescending. Bottom line - he did a great job explaining what was needed, why and options available. When he did not know an answer, he called and got it immediately from his office. Their office even suggested an alternate for us. We have had several other firms' techs and sales people here to discuss our AC needs, but he was by far the best. If I could give him a better rating I would but the 5 Stars are my only option. We sincerely appreciate this man and his company. "LT"

It went well. The technician was thorough and seemed to know what he was doing. He took the time and seemed to do a more thorough inspection than other companies I have hired. I would hire them again.

They charged $507 for 20 minutes work, to install a $70 part, a part which I could have easily replaced myself but which local suppliers would not sell me. When I complained about the cost I was pressured into buying a brand new furnace for a "great price". I refused. I diagnosed the problem using online tutorials as an intermittant gas valve. I told Pickerington H&C exactly what I needed but they refused to do any work without a $69 service call. The service call took 5 minutes for me to tell them what was wrong and for them to agree. A genuine replacement part cost about $150 but I discovered a cheaper compatible part for about $70. I called local parts companies who confirmed that they had the part in stock, but would only sell to licensed installers (thus protecting their markets). When Pickerington H&C arrived they had the cheaper part but the installation cost was exactly the same, $438. It took him 15-20 minutes to unscrew the old valve and screw in the new one. They were punctual but charged too much, knowing I needed heat and could not buy the part locally. They then agreed it was expensive and tried to persuade me into a new furnace. I will shop elsewhere.

I received 5 quotes on two HVAC systems to replace my 25-year-old units. I did a lot of research to be sure I could compare apples to apples with each quote. There are a lot of choices and opinions out there, but nothing matters unless the installation work is of high quality. When I called Pickerington Heating & Cooling, I explained my objectives and they made the good choice of sending Installation Manager Jeremiah to quote my job. Jeremiah was a stand out from the start and earned my business and respect. From the initial visit and assessment, to the selection of products and finalization of prices, Jeremiah was knowledgeable, ensured my objectives were reflected in his recommendations and quotes, and was a delight to work with. The fact that the company sent the installation manager to quote my job was very important to me. Jeremiah spoke highly of the quality of work of his installers and assured me he would also stop by during the install, which he did. Installers Corey, Jimmy, and Marvin were very experienced and professional and did a great job. Jimmy and Marvin shared that they have worked as a team for many years ... that is impressive and it surely showed in the quality and efficiency of their work. Corey was training a new installer and did most of the install work himself. Corey and his trainee were jovial, professional, and patient throughout what was a challenging job and very long day. Jeremiah was very knowledgable about product rebates and company discounts. Because of this and his hard work to earn my business, I believe I was able to get high-end Carrier products at prices that others were charging for what I felt were lesser overall products. Good people make all the difference. When you find them, give them your business.
