They were efficient and got the job done. They were also very informative and did a nice follow-up.

In the fall of 2006 and again in the spring of 2007, we contacted the company because we were experiencing moisture problems in our garage and on the ceilings in our master bedroom and family room (above the fireplace). Andy Sharp came out, assessed the problems, and gave us a proposal for repairs which he indicated should give our roof an additional five years of life (at that time, the roof was 14 years old). We engaged Mike Priebe Roofing to perform all of the work that Andy proposed. Assuming the repairs (done in March or April of 07) fixed our problems, we had the ceiling in the family room repaired. However, in February of this year, a substantial wet spot reappeared in the same area in our family room. I called Andy and although he never returned my call, he apparently gave the message to Tony (your roofer). Tony left a note on our front door indicating that he recaulked the chimney flashing. After the chimney was recaulked, it rained and water spot grew area on the ceiling grew larger and water was now dripping down the wall. I called Andy to let him know that the recaulking apparently didn t solve the problem, so we were probably going to have to put a new roof on our house. I asked him to come out and give us an estimate on a new roof. Andy never returned my call. I called Andy again, and again received no response. My husband called Andy, and he received no response. He called Andy again, and again received no response. Finally, your operations manager called my husband, said Andy was out of town, but indicated that he would get back to us. That never happened, so he called your operations manager again and, once again, he got no response. He called him again; this time he got through and told him we were interested in a quote on a new roof. He said that he would get back to us. Neither he nor anyone from Mike Priebe Roofing ever did. My husband then placed a call to Mike Priebe himself on two occasions. We re still waiting for those calls to be returned. Since we didn t hear back from the company, we had a few other roofers come out we were told that the reflashing job on our chimney was not done properly. Here are a few of the things he pointed out that were done improperly: 1. Back flashing on chimney not high enough. 2. Caulked poorly (a lot of openings in caulk). 3. Ice guard exposed on back piece of flashing. 4. Bottom on elephant ear not bent. 5. Flashing installed in one piece per side instead of in at least two individual pieces, not allowing for expansion & contraction. 6. Last piece of flashing not wrapped properly around side of chimney. 7. Flashing not tucked into mortar; just nailed on brick. 8. Masonry nails were not sealed properly. I sent Mike Priebe a letter (with pictures) and it's been a month and I still haven't heard from him.

They came the first day of the week and it started raining. They didn't use tarps. I had a large window that looked like I had waterfalls coming in. He put the wrong gutters on. He wouldn't respond to me, other than to let me know I didn't pay for the gutters. Said he would have his insurance company look at it. Never did. I had mine look at it, and they had a hard time getting his insurance information, as he did not want to give it out. My insurance company had someone repair the work. It took me almost a year to get them to come back out (work fall of '04, finished end of '05).

THE CAP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS RUSTED. WHEN THE INSTALLER PUT THE CAP ON HE DID NOT CLEAN UP THE RUST THAT WAS ON THE OTHER METAL PIECE ON THE CHIMNEY. THIS CAUSES THE CAP TO NOT LOOK NEW, EVEN THOUGH IT IS.

He did an excellent job. He is very conscientious. Good people to deal with.

They were extremely professional and well informed. The clean-up was excellent and they were very punctual.

The company came out and applied installed the materials needed to put on a new roof. They worked in the hot temperatures of the summer and did a great job.

PRIEBE ROOFING DID A GREAT JOB. THE SALES REP, JIM CAME OUT AS PROMISED TO DO AN ESTIMATE, AND CAME BACK A SECOND TIME TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS WE HAD BEFORE WE SIGNED THE CONTRACT. THEY DID NOT ASK FOR ANY MONEY UP FRONT, THE ENTIRE JOB WAS TO BE PAID AFTER THE WORK WAS FINISHED, AND WE WERE SATISFIED WITH THE JOB.

IT TOOK THEM APPX. 4 DAYS TO TAKE OFF THE OLD ROOF. CREW SPENT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS PUTTING ON THE NEW ROOF. A TRAILER TO CATCH THE TEAR OFF WAS LEFT CLOSE AGAINST MY FRONT DOOR, REQUIRING US TO USE THE SIDE DOOR. WHEN HE PICKED IT UP, HE DIDN'T BOTHER TO SWEEP UP THE NAILS IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE RIDGE VENTS WERE INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. THEY CAME BACK AND REINSTALLED THEM BUT LEFT OUT THE BUG SCREEN. THE THIRD TIME THEY GOT IT RIGHT BUT THEY HAD TO COME BACK AND REDO THE GARAGE AND PART OF ANOTHER ROOF BECAUSE OF SCUFFS. THERE WAS A LEAK THAT CAUSED A HOLE IN THE BATHROOM CEILING. THEY FIXED THE LEAK BUT NOT THE CEILING. AFTER APPX. THREE MONTHS THEY INSTALLED THE NEW GUTTERS. THE GUTTERS WERE INSTALLED OVER THE DRIP EDGE, AND SINCE THEY DIDN'T LEAVE A 1/2 IN. OVERHANG WITH THE ROOFING, RAIN POURED BEHIND THE GUTTERS AND RAIN DOWN THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE. THAT TOOK ANOTHER MONTH TO FIX. THE JOB TOOK A YEAR TO COMPLETE AND IS STILL NOT RIGHT. I JUST DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM AGAIN. NOT RECOMMENDED!! I had to have another company come out and fix all the problems that this company did not fix or caused. Two pieces of gutter, the waterproofing underlying of the roof, the metal valley, 4 courses of shingles on two roofs. Because of the leaky roof i now have drywall damage in my house.

SHINGLES DO NOT GO ALL THE WAY DOWN THE ROOF ON TWO SIDES. WE DO HAVE LEAKS IN THE ROOF (14 OF THEM) DID NOT HAVE BEFORE.

I HAVE MADE 6 CALLS JUST THIS WEEK TO THE SUPERVISOR OF PROJECTS. EVERY TIME I CALL THEY GIVE ME NUMBERS OF OTHER CONTRACTORS TO CALL. THIS IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO CALL THESE PEOPLE. THE SKYLIGHTS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT TWICE THE SIZE THEY ARE AND THE DAY THE CARPENTER CAME TO INSTALL, THEY WERE TOO BIG. WAS TOLD I NEEDED LOUVERS AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO DO SO IN ORDER TO GET THE GUARANTEE. I HAD TO PURCHASE DIFFERENT SKYLIGHTS AND THE COMPANY TOOK THEM TO EXCHANGE THEM TO FIGHT PROPERLY. (WHICH THERE WAS A $200 PRICE DIFFERENCE) ROOF IS STILL NOT COMPLETED AND WHERE THE SKYLIGHTS ARE THERE IS NO DRYWALL, SO WE ARE COOLING THE ATTIC. I KEEP GETTING THE RUN AROUND AND NO RESOLUTION FROM THE COMPANY. I KEEP GETTING FED LIES .

HAD COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS WITH PERSONNEL ABOUT ADDED COSTS. HOWEVER, WHEN MIKE PRIEBE, JR FOUND OUT, HE APPOLOGIZED & OFFERED A SETTLEMENT. HE WAS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT OUR SATISFACTION.
