They were very informative about what they would be doing, how it would be done, and exactly how much it would cost. Once I engaged them the arrived as scheduled and walked me through what they would be doing. They consulted me before installing the pipework for the radon system as to placement. They explained how the system works and how I can make sure it is operational. They had to come back several days later to complete the installation because it was raining so they could not complete the vent installation that day. They also left a radon detection / measuring system in place for several days then came back to get the readings. This is to make sure the system was working properly. As a secondary activity, I had them install a second sump pump with a battery backup system. I am very happy to have this added protection in my basement and it was very affordable.

Exactly on time at 9:00 AM. Accomplish installation and was complete at 4:45 PM. Install a 48 hr radon measuring device. Return Mon, 14 May, at 2:30 PM to gather reading, present radon average reading to me.

The company that initially did the testing and estimate before we agreed to buy the house offered a price that was in the same ballpark as Radon X. When they couldn't do the work within the time we needed it done, I remembered that my wife and I just joined Angie's List at the Home and Garden show in Dayton. I suggested that she check Angie's List for other radon abatement companies that they might recommend. That's where she found Radon X. We were so happy we wound up using them. One of the highlights of what Radon X provides is that the PVC they use is a thicker gauge than their competitors. That will prove important since I am starting a voice-over business in my home and the pipe is in the closet where I'll be doing my recording. If the pipe were thinner, the constant air flow may be more audible in my recordings.

Radon-X was very quick to respond to my call, although installation had to be delayed multiple times do to weather. Stacy was very pleasant to work with, and when the initial system didn't lower radon levels as much as we wanted he installed a larger fan for free.

Excellent responsiveness, communication and professionalism. Due to living in an older home, our radon levels were brought down to an acceptable level, though not as low as we would have liked to see. However, Radon X discussed this as a potential issue during our consultations and they did everything that they could to bring down the radon level.

Radon X provides excellent service. The owners, Stacy and Amy are very informative and takes time to answer all questions and concerns. The estimate was very accurate and timely. It was about four days after the estimate when the work itself began. The system was installed by the owners themselves. This ensures the highest quality installation you can get. They were very meticulous and made sure all cracks were sealed preventing radon from entering the basement. An indoor system was installed with only the finest materials (schedule 40 pipes) and a few extras (fan guard and varmint guard)...other radon companies don't do this. It took about five hours to complete the installation. The system really looks and feels high quality. A real time radon measurement was performed over a period of two days. My pre mitigation level was at 5.0. After the radon mitigation, the level is at 1.0. I am very happy and extremely satisfied with Radon X. I can see the owners are very proud of their company; it really shows on the fantastic job they've done. I highly recommend Radon X to anybody who needs radon mitigation. Radon X is the only radon mitigation company I will use now and in the future.

Average radon reduced from approximately 7 before the installation to 0.3 after installation of Radon-X system!!! My wife and I feel safe. We feel the environment is now safe for our kids. We couldn't be happier with the results or the service provided by Radon-X. The owners/installers treated our house as if it were there own and made us feel comfortable during the entire process. We discussed how the system functioned and what to do if there were ever a problem in the future. The service was first class, and I doubt there is a better radon mitigation service available in the Dayton area. Highly recommend Radon-X for your radon mitigation needs.

I called Hidden Dangers (now called Radon-X) after our home failed a radon test. Hidden Dangers performed the radon system and sump pump installation in a day. Follow-up testing showed radon levels well below the limit. The radon-fan quit working about a month ago, and Hidden Dangers came out the next day to service it (no charge). I would definitely hire them again for their great service and professionalism.

From the beginning, they were very detailed in describing some of the procedures needed. During the installation they were very professional. They were prompt, clean appearance of vehicle and equipment. the piping was installed properly,stronger, and heavier duty than the competition. Thorough in clean up after completion. *WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Two thumbs up! Very professional team. The estimate was the same or less than two other companies, however Hidden Dangers goes above and beyond. They use what I consider to be better technology, including thicker pipe (schedule 40 = less noise, less condensation) and a fan guard, which is a device that routes any rain/condensation around the fan, not through it. I did the initial testing myself (very easy and only $7- see the Ohio radon website), and also did followup testing to verify the effectiveness of the mitigation, so my opinion is based on more than the claims of the company. Hidden Dangers was very quick to respond and quick to perform the work. It was only a week from estimate to completion. The job itself took about 6 hours and all mess, which was minimal to begin with, was completely cleaned up. The estimate was also the final price. The radon level in our basement dropped from around 45 pCi/L to less than 1 pCi/L.
